My husband, mother-in-law, and two daughters went on a Friday morning when they opened at 9. It wasn't too busy, and then it steadily got busier. We took our shoes and jackets off at the front, and then went to go check-in. I was asked if I had ever been there before, which I said no and then I scanned a QR code to sign the waiver for my kiddos. I would say overall, this was a pretty fun experience. You are given two hours to play for admission. I think the admission is pretty expensive, especially for babies. My 7-year old had a fun time, though. She enjoyed playing in the different areas. She ended up getting a mini scoop of ice cream, which was about $6. I would have gotten coffee, but I think the food prices were pretty expensive. Overall, I think one and done for us. We enjoyed the experience, but I took two stars off for how bare it was and for the expensive prices. read more

I am sad to see this place go. Kids had a great time here and a lot of fun. A lot of the equipment needed updating, things were very worn, and the infant area isn't very interactive. Just some soft mats on the floor with a few baby toys scattered around. The cashier was very friendly and answered my questions. This place could have had a lot of potential. Hopefully they can stay in business with a new concept that would better serve customers needs. They are having a discounted sale on the toys and onesies they have for sale. It's just okay for me, $18 plus tax just to walk in the door ... for two hours. $13 for under 9 yrs. $5 per adult. ... even more if you forget to have kiddo wear 'grippy' socks. I get the why, but make sure to budget well especially if you have to drive a bit. I expected it to smell a little worse than it did considering it caters to five and under, for that I have to give them MEGA props. The areas seem easy to clean and easy to keep track of. The different scenes were cute and seem fun, be well kept despite being a kids indoor playground. I did see staff trying to clean in the 90 minutes or so I was there. Many sanitize stations. Overall, the 40 minute drive for me, overpriced food, and cost just makes it mediocre for me - but I'll visit again for a special occasion knowing how much it is now. However, if none of the money factors bother you - I think you should definitely give them a try with your tiny human. Pro tip: check the website of the mall, I am pretty sure they have events in the area in the weekends! Make a day out of it and plan your time here accordingly. The food to eat in the mall is a little spendy, or drive and find Costco cafe or some other lesser priced options. Clean, staff was decent, cute corners, Instagram worthy for sure! read more

My little one loved our time at MiniSota and I loved the coffee! I have a 10 month old and we have gone twice. There is a little baby area which was perfect for him. He loved pulling himself up on the little wall to watch all the other kids play and there is a good amount of toys to explore in that area. It's a fun indoor play area for young kids. The whole place is very dangerous. Concrete floors for kids??? It was nerve racking to keep a five year old and a toddler from running because the risk of falling was so high. A jail for little kids was weird. The musical room had no microphone so it was a stand by a stage. The gyms stationary bike was missing a peddle, so no child could ride it. The parents would let their kids load up groceries from the store in carts and remove them making it no fun in the grocery store for other kids. No fireplace in cabin room like shown on webpage. I feel kind of bad rating this place 3 stars. However, it is pricey and you really have to go in KNOWING your kid will be occupied for at 2 hours (which is the time limit). My daughter doesn't prefer it for more than an hour, so it's not worth the money for me. It also takes a bit to sign up if you are coming for the first time. You need to sign a waiver and all of that, and that holds up the line for people waiting to get in. I love the interior and think it's so cute! I'm so happy that I've found a indoor place for my kids! This play area is perfect for every season for getting your kids out and playing in a safe space. It's a lot of imaginative play more focused for ages 1-10ish, with lots of different activities to meet all kinds of personalities! My favorite part about the whole place; parents can grab a coffee, sit and relax (a little bit) while your kids get some energy out and potentially meet some new friends! My little one was only 10 months old visiting here and he had plenty of toys to explore. There are several themed rooms to play between like a grocery store, post office, cabin, lake and even a separate infant are. There's also an actual cafe that makes coffee and sells sensory kits for $25. This area also has tables and high chairs where the kids can eat (they don't sell food themselves). Don't be fooled- the entry fee is for the little ones AND you. In my case, I came with my partner and we paid almost $20 for the three of us and a chai latte. This admission is good for two hours. I'd still go back because of how easy it is to have so many different things for the little one to do. read more

I wanted to love this place - my kids ate a little old for it in general (I would say 0-4 is perfect age range) but I brought my close to 5yr old because he loves dress up and make believe stuff. First - it's small. I just expected it to be much bigger. And the seating area for adults is even smaller - I thought I would bring my iPad and a few things from my small business to catch up on and there was very limited space to sit and it was uncomfortable. Second - it's a bit pricey IMO. Thankfully I only had one child but if i had had 2+ i probably wouldn't have gone. The admission is one thing but adults are required to pay 3.00 OR purchase something from the cafe. Also, kids are REQUIRED to have grippy socks so they ding you for another 3.00 if you don't have them. The socks irritated me because if it's on the website it isn't glaringly obvious (which if they are requiring and charging it should be). By the time it was said and done I paid about 18.00 for 1.5-2.0 hrs of entertainment for one kid. Lastly - it was packed! I'm not sure what their limit is but I felt like there were way too many kids in that small space. There should be a capacity of kids so at least it's more enjoyable. Overall the concept is adorable and plenty entertaining - it just isn't worth the cost and is way too small for a busy day. They could easily have made it one of those efficient spaces where a code is required and cut out staff .... marking it cheaper for all. read more

I have to pay to sit and watch my child and other children run around?!) or purchase a drink. $13 for you and one kid, I can't imagine going with two. You can go to ECFE open play for $3, open gym at Andover community center for $3, the eagles nest in new Brighton for like $6 or $8 and that place is HUGE, library for free, ridgedale center for free. We heard about this imagination-centered play zone during Maple Grove Days and were very happy with our experience! My children, 5 and 7, easily made friends quickly with other children of similar/same ages and our almost two hours zipped by as they engaged in the different play areas together.
