The game is fairly easy to learn fast. There is a person who will be watching you and replenishing you with balls if your ball gets squished. WhirlyBall has become a staple for us when we have out of town guests. Bumper cars mixed with lacrosse and basketball - there's intrigue for everyone, even the less-athletically gifted. We had our staff Christmas party at whirlyball and man was it fun. If you haven't played whirlyball before it is bumper cars merged with basketball and lacrosse :) You play as a team 5 on 5 and grab a small lacrosse stick off the wall and enter your bumper cart that is in an enclosed small gym with basketball hoops with digital sensors. You play 8-9 minute games and it is hilarious. Dress comfortable it gets hot when the adrenaline gets pumping and they have beverages and a bar for those who play sports better well lubricated. They have leagues for people who love the sport It's a great outlet to let off some steam. read more

This place is an amazing find and a novel concept of game play with the Whirly Ball. I have been here thrice already and even brought my friends from Boston to try out this game and they loved it. You may think it's little expensive considering that the fun time lasts not longer than 30 minutes and you would want more for the money. Nevertheless, this place is a must go if you are around the Twin Cities and with a group of people! I had a blast trying WhirlyBall for the first time! WhirlyBall = kinda like lacrosse but with a whiffle ball and bumper cards. Any sport that requires me to stay seated and smash into people is guaranteed to be an enjoyable one, imho. We rented a court for 1 hour for a birthday party. There is a max of 10 people per court, 5 per team (red vs yellow). When we got there, we signed waivers and got an overview of the rules, then got to buckle up and start playing. The games were 9mins each, but I think you can choose the timing. It wasn't too hard to get used to the steering of the bumper car, but I'm the type of person who panics and flails so I was definitely found going in reverse circles occasionally. An employee oversaw our court to set up new games on the scoreboard and to throw us new balls when ours got stuck or lost in the gutters. My only qualms were most of the scoops were broken, and the courts could us ventilation and fans because it got pretty hot in there. read more

Only reviewing whirlyball. This is the only place in Minnesota that I know of that has whirlyball. If you've never tried you should. Super fun activity with friends and family. The rules are simple: don't use your hands unless the ball falls in your car and once you score the ball goes to the other team for their attempt. The game goes pretty quick and strangely you can work up a real sweat even though you're in bumper cars. Haha I'll be coming back with another group of friends for sure. read more

We had a wonderful time as a family playing the Pirate Escape Room. We had a group that had 10 yr olds, teens, and adults. We all were able to participate in the hunt for solving the clues. It was great for escape room first timers and those that had experienced a few. The staff was very friendly and helpful, including with hints. Highly recommend this escape room. Been here before. It is fun. Disappointed that when I ordered a bloody mary, I got ZERO garnish on it. When I asked if they have olives and celery. I was told by the bar tender that they don't have any bells and whistles. .. This surprised me. What disappointed mw more is when another person arrived to join our party an hour later. We came in on a slow Friday evening to check things out. We were a group of three, so we limited ourselves to laser tag. It was a lot of fun, but bring a towel. It gets hot in that room and fast walking from one end to the other doesn't help at all. The beers on tap were a wide range. It was good to see some locals as well. As far as food goes, I ordered nachos and now it's time for the nacho review! Looking at the menu, I had my doubts as the description mentioned cheese sauce. I'm a firm believer that real cheese needs to be melted on the chips. Time to break this down. Big plate of chips: Yes, they even held up in the cheese sauce. No soggy ones there. Real cheese on them: Sort of. there was real cheese sparsely sprinkled on the cheese sauce. Fresh toppings: No, there was a lack of toppings really. Fresh Salsa: nope, tasted as if from a jar. Sour cream on the side: Yep, had it. Meat of choice: Yes, I had the chicken and the chicken was the best part of the nachos, even if they were only seasoned in a taco seasoning from the store. At least it had flavor. Now I feel the need to go into this cheese sauce a bit more. There was no flavor coming from it. I mean none at all. Kind of like tofu. But it wasn't only that, it was how much of tasteless sauce was glopped onto the chips. I can honestly say I did not finish half of the chips on the plate (my bros however did polish them off). SO MUCH FUN! This places is the coolest, and I honestly didn't think it would be when I first walked through the doors. This venue is inside an old movie theater and they have two whirlyball courts. I went here with my work as a team building event and it was so much fun! Drinks - This place has a full bar and a great selection of drinks! The bartenders are really nice and awesome. They get your drinks out fast and know their stuff! The prices of drinks aren't terrible from your average sports bar prices. Food - We had pizza, wings and meatballs while we were there. I wish I knew what the wings were called but I have to say they were the most amazing wings I ever had. They were covered in like a teriyaki pineapple sauce that was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend getting them if you eat here! Also, the BBQ meatballs were juicy and flavorful! The pizza for me tasted a little odd, I am not sure if it was the cheese or not but something just didn't taste like your normal pizza to me. Games - Whirlyball was so much fun and was surprisingly exhausting! I didn't think scooting around on a bumper car would be tiring but it was! Each round lasts about 9 minutes with some games having overtime, but we were able to play a lot of games in the three hours we were there. Went here for a friend bday party: this is the 6th times. Ordered the nacho with pull pork and all the condiments. The nacho chips were good by itself. Their house melted cheese was delicious, they used the same cheese for their philly cheese steak. It was velvety with added spice and herbs. The pull pork was tender, but a little too salty for my taste. The portion is huge and it's only $12.50. I didn't participated in Whirlyball this time since I wanted to let other friends who hasn't done it to experience it. They all loved it. I headed out here for a birthday party, expecting to be the no-fun wall-flower that crossed her arms and refused to play. Lacrosse, Basketball, Bumper Car Hybrid? Not a series of things I'd ever expect muddled together. I was pleasantly surprised at how fun it was! It took me a little bit to warm up to it, but after the first round I was having a blast. The birthday party had reserved a court (highly recommended, as I am unsure of how they do walk-ins), and we had a good number of people at the birthday party so there was always a game going. A far as price goes, I'm unsure of how much it cost for the entire rental, but the birthday party asked us to each pay $20, and there had to be around 20 people there. There were several of the bumper cars that had to be 'fixed' in between games, which took some time but ultimately, was not the end of the world, because we had a few hours to drink and play. We got there around 11:30pm, and I needed to eat. We didn't know if we had to order from the bar or from the party room, and we only knew where the party room was because a member of the birthday party texted and told us- Ultimately, a hostess of some sort would really help the over-all experience here. Waitresses, also, would really help, because the food was fantastic (Cajun Wings with Garlic Aioli and Kumara Fries) - but they were only serving "Fried" Options, which were not clearly marked on the menu among the appetizers. This wouldn't have been a big deal, had we not been struggling to get an overly busy bartenders attention at a PACKED bar. In this scenario, a waitress would have made a 3 star experience a 5 star experience. We knew there was lazer tag, so we walked to go and check it out. It's $5.00 + tax to play, and they have a huge 2 level arena. We didn't end up playing, but it did look fun. Maybe another time. Overall, it was a great experience. Adults and kids alike will have a blast here, but you need to know about the service pitfalls before you expect a 5 star experience. Went to play WhirlyBall with a group of 15 people. We had a blast. It helps to go with people that are more competitive. The staff was friendly and explained all the rules before we went into play. It costs $200 for 1 hour. It is best to do groups of 5. SO if you have 10, 15 or 20 people it works better. You play 6 games 9 minutes each game. The bumper cars are a little slow but that is to be expected so you don't give someone whiplash! It is a lot harder to shoot the ball then one would think. The only thing I would change with the rules is I would allow players to hit the stick/ball out of the players hands so they can't just take it all the way down the court. I also think they should be some sort of 10 second pass/shot clock. Other than that it was fun! We did also play laser tag as a group after WhirleyBall. It was very hot inside and running around chasing people made it even hotter. Some of the equipment didn't work the best. It was only $5 a person so not bad. I wish there was a scoreboard inside the arena so you could see what your score is. read more

We tried to play laser tag while we waited for a court to open up and we waited for 25min. A guy walked over and we asked him if he was there to check us out. This review is for the "Enigma" Escape Room. Wow - was this fun - this was the first time that five (of the seven) of us had been to an Escape Room. The decor was really cool and the "mission" we were as assigned wasn't just to escape but to complete a number of tasks, and a BONUS mission to boot. There was a lot of thought and authenticity that went into this espionage like plot that I think anyone would surely enjoy! We had a chance to talk with the game designer for awhile after we completed the mission and were even more impressed! I'll keep it at that - go have fun - enjoy!!! We came here for a coworkers birthday and I have to say it was a blast! I am only knocking them a star for atmosphere. There was literally none...I couldn't decide what was going on. It smelled like a rubber mat (I get it, they're a gaming facility) but there were huge open spaces with literally no use being made of them. It felt...empty? The courts themselves were a blast. Whirly Ball is a fun game and I think that alone is why I'm a fan of this place. It also has laser tag and a few other things to keep you occupied between rounds. I came here as part of a company party and everyone had a great time. The food was good too! The employees were friendly and helpful, and seemed to keep on top of the maintenance for the Whirly Ball equipment. The bar has a nice selection and the bartenders seem to have some skill to their work. I've played whirlyball here twice with two different groups. Out of this world solid fun. The more competitive the team the more fun it is. We had a group of 16 and it was a nice number for a 2 hour game. With 5 people per team on the court at a time it gave us a great opportunity to mix up our teams. The food is not the greatest but the bartender was fast and it was easy enough for us to get our own drinks from the bar between games. Our group ranged from 20-50 year olds and everyone agreed it was one of the most epic and memorable team building off sites. Definitely would get a group together again. read more

Just drove all the way out here after working a twelve hour shift to pick up gift cards for Christmas gifts. Was told they had a buyout, whatever the hell that is, and I'd have to leave. We had a laser tag party here on a Saturday afternoon and it was horrible. I had 10 hungry and thirsty 8 year olds waiting 40 mins on food and drinks (I preordered). I can't even tell you how many times I had to run from the party room to the bar to try to get drinks, glasses, forks, napkins, plates, etc. I had to wait at the bar to get any instructions on where the party room was (and was told the wrong room). Most of the time I was at the bar begging for assistance, I was re-directed to an overworked server and had to carry things back to the party room myself. When we finally got drinks, 2 pitchers didn't have syrup in them and I had to send the pitchers back twice before they figured it out, delaying drinks even more. The room was dirty. The whole thing was a disorganized mess. I do want to thank the servers and bartenders, who were doing their best but were completely understaffed. We won't be back. read more

I love going here with my boyfriend and his friend. We've never played the actual Whirlyball game, but we love watching the games, as well as playing at the pool tables and the bar.
