Upset that no one is home now. Finally called me and I told them I will be back in 30 mins. They came inside and tried to tell me I needed all of these things. Told them I didn't need them and they said then we can't do the install. Ask the guy to leave and he did. The best part was he said it would take 6 hours to do the job and drain the old tank. Now I know why they are behind.

Our sump pump in the basement decided to continuously run this morning and as it had pumped out all…read morethe water, the pump overheated causing a bad odor. I called Mikes (it's a Sunday). I was able to keep the pump operational until they showed up. They immediately knew what was wrong and fixed it. Then he used a zip strip to prevent any reoccurrence. He ran the pump numerous times to evaluate the strength of the pump (because of it getting hot) and told me that the pump was fine. Fast service. Honest evaluation. Showing up on a Sunday. Mikes sewer had a 6 month guarantee on any back ups after the hydro jet, but failed to answer any of the multiple phone calls and voice mails I left with them! they ghosted me and charged me 600$, ended up having roto rooter come out and pull out over 10lbs of roots out of my drain line and took 3 and a half hours to complete the job properly! Mikes sewer and drain is a joke! Reccommend using any one else other than them!

When "everything" was backing up & not draining today, I gave them a call a little before 9AM. Gene promised to be there between 11AM & 1PM. I asked that he call me when he was on his way. As promised, he called & showed up at the house right on time. He even brought his VERY well behaved 14 year-old Australian Shepherd copilot (who stayed in his vehicle the whole time). While I thought the problem was due to our daughter's long hair plugging up the drain line from the bathtub, Gene (correctly) diagnosed the problem as a blocked main line. It took Gene about an hour to use his 300# power auger to cut/extract roots from the main line to the sewer. See the attached picture for the ~4" x 8" wad of roots that was plugging the drain. Once Gene was finished, he checked & double-checked to make sure that everything was draining properly. He made recommendations as to how we should avoid this problem in the future (basically, having roots removed from the line every 2 years or so). Dayton Sewer & Drain's bill was reasonable for the service they provided. There was NO attempt to "up-sell" us on services not truly needed. Gene quickly determined the problem & fixed it. We'll keep using Dayton Sewer & Drain in the future.
