He told us we just needed a snake, even though I told him we've had that done many times and the problem must be bigger. I told him we needed to get the situation resolved, regardless if it was covered under warranty or not. He just said it would be a lot of work and wouldn't give us any options other than a basic snake. He said they would be in touch with us to set it up. No one called until much later when reception contacted us wondering what ended up happening. I guess the estimator never told them. We contacted Korrect plumbing instead and they have been great. They are professional, courteous and knowledgeable. They gave us our options and got to work as soon as they could. WARNING: They threatened to "put a lien on the house" when I questioned their pricing…read more I'm 45 years old, have lived in three 100-year-old homes, and have never before left a negative review for a contractor. I hired Honey Go Fix It to reseat a toilet. I chose them because of their 4.9 Google rating and promise of a free estimate. When the plumber arrived, I approved and signed an estimate on a small phone screen. I trusted what he was telling me and was not shown the actual dollar amount displayed clearly on the screen before signing. The technician completed the work in less than 20 minutes and then showed me a bill for $481.65. I was stunned. A wax ring costs about $10 and no other materials were needed. The price was astronomical for the work performed. The verbal quote was mumbled and unclear. When I saw $481.65 on the final bill, I genuinely thought there was a mistake. I declined to pay immediately and called the office to resolve it. Here's where it really went wrong. I spoke to Kassandra, the President of the company, to discuss the situation. Within the first two minutes, before I could even fully explain what happened, she threatened to file a lien on my house if I didn't pay immediately. I offered to pay $300 to resolve it amicably. That's still $900/hour for 20 minutes of work with a $10 part. Kassandra refused via email, claiming their responsibility is to "maintain fair and consistent pricing," while simultaneously admitting that they are "adding extra clarity steps during the estimate approval process to help prevent future misunderstandings." Consistent pricing? Maybe. Fair? Absolutely not. The owner acknowledged in writing that their current process causes confusion. Yet, she still demanded full payment and threatened our property rights. Being immediately threatened with a lien on our house for simply asking questions destroyed any chance of restoring trust in her company. I paid the invoice to avoid the hassle of a lien, but I'm leaving this review so others can protect themselves. If you use this company: 1. Get the total dollar amount in writing, on paper, in large readable text, before you sign anything. 2. Research what competing plumbers charge for the same work. 3. If you can't clearly see the price or feel rushed or pressured, do not sign. This company has lost my business and recommendation. I hope this review helps you make an informed choice.

I had a leak in the water line somewhere between my water meter and the shut off valve located inside in a utility closet in the center of my house - the leak was not visible but was confirmed by the county water department after I asked them to inspect because my water bill was astronomical - the county inspector said he knew there was a leak underground because the water meter continued to run after the valve was shut off. I first called another plumber, who believed the leak was beneath the slab and said they would need to excavate a trench through my yard, cut through the concrete sidewalk the concrete front porch the foundation and the concrete slab inside my house and excavate all the way to the shut off valve to replace the line beneath the slab. The first quote to fix the problem, and replace the concrete that would be damaged, was staggering, My son recommended I call Schott for a second opinion. Chris at Schott came out right away - he said the line outside the house was likely the only problem given the age of my home and the home builder - he had done many similar homes in my neighborhood and said the line to the house was a common problem given the home's age, and the materials used by the construction industry when my house was built - and the proper way to fix that was to just drill beneath the yard and bring in a new water line to the house - in his opinion there was likely no need to cut into the concrete slab or do extensive damage to my home and yard. His price was very reasonable. The crews from Schott and Waker came out within a few days, as scheduled - two guys from Schott and two from Waker, with big equipment on trailers - they knew exactly what they were doing, were fast and efficient. They did an excellent job - they drilled and installed a new line beneath my yard from the meter to the house, cleaned up nicely afterwards (you can hardly even tell they were here!) and they were done within 3 hours. When they were done they confirmed there was no other leak beneath the slab. So the first plumber was wrong. I am Very Thankful for Schott's expertise - Chris saved me a huge amount of money and a huge amount of mess, disruption and damage to my home. No need to cut the concrete. No need to replace flooring. Schott is honest, reasonably priced, and professional - they know what they are doing, I recommend them highly. Thank You.
