Walked in by chance and don't regret it at all. The food listed in the menu was so exotic (to me) but luckily they had someone to explain the items and make ordering a breeze. We ordered the (Orden de) Picaditas, that arrived as 3 hefty masa-flour tortillas topped with green sauce, chopped onions, sour cream, cheese and the addition of cecina (dried meat), which all tasted delicious. Love at first bite! One of these picaditas was super filling. I could barely finish my half of the Gordita we also ordered: a panfried masa shell stuffed with asada (steak), lettuce, onions, cheese and other good stuff. There were lots of other fillings we could have chosen, such as mushrooms, chorizo, shredded chicken or chicharron. Honestly I liked the picaditas better, but those two humble plates knocked us out after we waddled home. Taking away one star only because it was a little warm and unusually loud in there, due to the industrial fan and the occasional roar of the juicing machine. Oh, and we also tried the 'natural juice' which is blended "orange, beet root, carrot green, spinach, cactus, pineapple". I always go to this place if I'm craving for a good Mexican food. Yes, there are mixed reviews, but I will give them 5 stars for the quality of food, and service based on my experience and choice of food. The all female crew is amazing to watch while they are preparing your food. It's a casual eatery, so no host, we always sit at the counter to see all the action. I always order chales gorditas, cecina , picaditas and agua fresca. The masa is fresh and hand made tortillas are being served. Flavors are exploding especially with the salsas. read more

Horrible service, walk in and nobody will tell you its open seating. They will stare at you and say nothing. Service didn't confirm order and didn't get my order then delivered two Cecina tacos (only) to a table of 3 and said nothing. Not happy with this restaurant at all. Over priced food that did NOT give me the wow factor at all. We ordered tacos with hardly any meat in them. No sour cream and guacamole?? I agree with the other reviews. It is very authentic and has a small diner feel to it. It is very small and popular so don't come during the times when you would expect it to be busy. We sat at the counter and I really enjoyed watching them cooking up the meals and making the tortillas. Hand made right there and the guacamole is very good but it's spicy. Just FYI. This place was highly recommended and when we walked in the restaurant was packed. We got a table right away and the host was nice and we sat down. When we were looking at the menu, I asked the waitress what homemade beverage she recommends and was dismissive and says all were good. We weren't ready to order and says will be back in a few....next thing we know she was on my neck saying in Spanish " Are you ready to order, or not yet?" Politely we placed our order. Then when we got our order, they made a mistake and asked for an extra plate because she put two gorditas on one plate. She said she can correct it, she then touched the gordita with her hand and it broke apart. When we addressed it with her...she then gave us utensils . We asked for a new one because it looked very unappealing and she touched our food. This where it goes south from here even more. She says she needs to address this with someone else, another waitress came and says she needs to escalate and then the cool came and was passive aggressive about the food scenario. Finally someone came and corrected the order. It's a shame the guy who wasn't our original waiter was nicer and attentive compared to our previous two servers. When I got my tacos the carne asada was more carne molida aka ground beef. So disappointing and the sevice was horrible except for the nice male waiter. Order the "carne asada" tacos, the meat was rubbery and chewy definitely not a good quality meat. Order the "chilaquiles" with chicken, very disappointing!!! To say the least. Chicken was dry and unseasoned, burnt on one side. The chilaquiles didn't have enough sauce, which was bland. I have dined at this location previously before covid and was hands down the place to eat real traditional Mexican food. I don't know if they changed staff but the food is now mediocre and not worth the wait or money. Small diner style restaurant with a delicious, authentic Mexican menu. When I say small, I mean small. It has limited amount of seating and was always full with people having to wait for a seat the time we were here. We tried their cafe de olla and it was delicious! I personally can't do more than 1 cup because of the amount of sugar in it but it has that strong cinnamon taste that is sooo good! My husband and I shared the following: taco de chicharron, taco de cecina(popular and a favorite), french fries, quesadilla de asada(husband's favorite) and huevos en salsa verde. Everything was delicious! Our favorites, which we will order again, were the taco de cecina and the quesadilla de carne asada. This place offers their tacos and quesadillas in homemade tortillas which is so simple yet a major plus in my mind. The cecina is cooked perfectly with some crunchiness and awesome flavors along with grilled onions. Oh ma gaww! So yum! The quesadilla is just a perfect mixture of delicious meat, melty cheese, lettuce and tomato. They offer you 3 salsas to top off your food with and all 3 have great flavor and different levels of spice. I almost always judge a Mexican place by the salsas they offer. If they're not good, the rest of the food is usually no good. Service, as you may have read from other posts was top notch. I came here with my boyfriend, both of us super excited to try their food after it being recommended by family and seeing it on the news. We came in a little before 730pm and sat at the only open table. For a place that closes at 8pm, it was pretty packed so were even more excited--the food MUST be great. Maybe. We never got the chance to tell. We were greeted right away with menus and asked if we knew what we wanted. Um... we just got here. We asked for a drink to start off to give us time to look. It's not a huge menu, but we had never been here before. Plus, we were both so hungry and everything sounded delicious at that point. Our drinks came what felt like instantly, but I still hadn't made a decision yet. The waitress walked away, and never came back. Waitress after waitress walked passed us just looking, never taking our order. I closed my menu to indicate I was ready without being rude, but everyone continued to walk past us. 7:55pm came and a family walked in to be seated. They were turned away by a waitress, who explained they were closing in 5 minutes, and to come back tomorrow. Hearing that, I politely asked that waitress if someone could take our order. Another waitress chimed in saying we ordered already, that our order was being made. I then replied to both of them that no one had taken our order, we've been waiting for 20 minutes for someone to come. Our drinks were almost done. The first waitress then asked us what we wanted. Exactly like that. Everything we preferred wasn't available. Everything. So the waitress advised us to come back the following day. No thanks. I wish I could give no stars. read more

Alright I came in here because I saw it on Facebook. Prepare to wait atleast 30 minutes before even getting a seat. This is a small restaurant and the crew here is bussyyy. I ordered a caldo de camarón and while waiting I also ordered two steak tacos. Hands down the best steak tacos I have ever had.
