I ordered the pastor burrito and a carnitas taco. While I enjoyed both, I definitely prefer the taco over the burrito, but both were worth the price. My burrito was massive! A welcomed surprised because I'm used to being underwhelmed by the burrito scene so far. When I lived nearby in Humboldt, I would always go here. It's so good and very affordable. Very cute spot with wooden table s and a family atmosphere I was a vegetarian back when I was regular so even though I eat meat now I still get the veggie gorditas, the potato one and the rajas con queso. Really good and very filling The service is quick. The only downsides: my back is not as good as it was so the wooden chair was a little rough. AMAZING carne asada tacos!! I've now order delivery from here three times over the past few months. The taco platter comes with three tacos, refried beans, and rice. The tacos are topped with a heaping amount of cilantro and onions. They were so yummy. We also ordered guac which was excellent and super fresh. This is my go-to spot for solid Mexican food, and it's always a great value for the price. My favorites are the taco dinner or the quesabirria special. The consommé is on point--flavorful without being too salty. However, I should knock off a star because the birria can be dry sometimes, which is a bit of a letdown. The guac can lack flavor once in a while, but honestly, I don't sweat it. Everything else more than makes up for it, especially when paired with a large-ass horchata. Majority of the time, I order to go, but it's good to know it's BYOB if you dine in. Even with a couple of hiccups, this spot always satisfies. Definitely worth checking out! read more

I use to love this place but today we ordered a quesaabirria and burrito and there was barely any meat on both; my quessabirria had a pinch of cheese(it was more hard cold fried tortilla that meat and cheese). My lomo taco was luke warm...I don't know what happened to this place that they became so stingy with food. The chip dish had like 10 chips....last time I'll be coming here. FYI they have a bunch of additional fees that most restaurants would never charge. When I asked to see the receipt the cashier had an attitude. Gratuity is automatically included...for the service and food i received they deserved zero extra dollars. read more

I love this place, even though I don't know what its name means. Taconazo = stomp or kick and El Tio = Uncle? (I thought it would've been something like Tio's Taco House, but no no no, bad guess!
