On Memorial day, being a Veteran who's disabled and uses a FULLY TRAINED, DOCTOR PRESCRIBED service dog, I wanted to try them but was denied entry due to my service dog. They want to operate a business but don't know what the ADA is. I served this country so they can do business here and was discriminated against. We love this place. They have locality credits that you can redeem towards your bill. I've had pretty much everything on their menu. It's all good. Limited vegetarian options though. Love this place. Have gone here so many times at different hours and different days of the week. It doesn't disappoint. The only suggestion I would have are the actual tostadas. Sometimes they aren't as crispy and more stale. That's only happened a few times. Trust tostadas are my boyfriend's favorite. I have recommended it to so many people. the store told the delivery driver not to bring order upstairs to apt door. the store manager literally told the delivery driver to leave order downstairs. the driver was awesome because he came back and brought the order upstairs to me because i walk with a cane. on top of that, the milkshake was nothing but foam. it was disgusting. i truly do not even know what it was. i said foam, that description was nice. it was a cup of crap!! the taco salad was a joke. i don't know how old the ingredients were but it was dry and tasteless. i wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! read more

usually this is my go to spot for delicious food. However, today's experience did not provide that. my tacos of carne asada had no taste, the meat was extremely bland. The quesidillas I ordered seems over cooked- the. cheese was burnt. The green sauce that usually has a great kick to it, didn't even taste the same. This review is for delivery service only. Although I have never been inside the restaurant, I believe "Meson Del Taco" deserves a shoutout. Also, thank you for being part of various food delivery platforms so that I can be well-fed during the difficult period of time on combating the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19. This place isn't too far my my house, and the delivery fee is quite reasonable in my opinion. I have had their taco de carne asada, taco de pollo, taco de lengua, and guacamole with chips. Everything was delicious. I also noticed that they double-wrapped the tacos with baking papers for the delivery service. I assumed that it kept the tacos in shape and maintained their temperature. It was very nice of them doing so. Their torta is also large enough to even split into two (2) meals. I would say overall their portion is generous for the prices we paid for. I most likely will continue patronize "Meson Del Taco" and make it as one of my go-to restaurants whenever we want Mexican food for delivery. read more

Listen, I needed menudo. I got it in my head that I needed it and I was on a mission to get some for lunch. Unfortunately two of the three places that were recommended to me for weekday menudo were closed when I pulled up. Super disappointing. I made the call to Meson Del Taco to find out if they had weekday menudo and if they were open. Both were true! We headed over. The chips were disappointing. I prefer a freshly fried chip. This was clearly a store bought chip. It's good. I wasn't there for the chips. The salsas were ok. Again, not my favorite salsas ever. What can you do. We each ordered menudo and one steak taco with onions and cilantro. You gotta try the steak taco, it's like the unit of measurement for deliciousness at a Mexican restaurant for me. The taco came first and it was VERY good. Like, I'm worried my favorite taco place will be replaced with the tacos here. The menudo was soooo good! It really was perfect. Nice and spicy and served with lots of cilantro, onions, lime and dried chilies. The service was great. They were attentive and friendly. Ok My Foodzies here's the first review for 2024. Glenda had a taste for Mexican and we wanted to try something new so on the recommendation of our daughter Vicki we tried Meson Del Taco Express at 7616 W. Belmont Ave. Just as the name implies, it's carry out only. If you don't order ahead have some form of entertainment because the only thing in the waiting area is a TV tuned to a Hispanic channel. I don't know if I would use express in the name because it took a while to get our food, although after we got the food home, we found that it was worth the wait. Glenda had the Carne Asada dinner; the carne was a little thin but cooked and flavored perfectly. The carne was accompanied by rice and beans which everyone knows is a staple in Mexican cuisine. Vicki and Nina had the steak 3 tacos dinner needless to say the steak was also prepared perfectly. I opted for the Al Pastor burrito (seasoned roast pork prepared on a spit similar to Gyro meat. The pork is stacked on the spit and topped with a pineapple slice which gives it some sweetness as it drips down while it turns continuously past the heating elements. The meat is usually sliced off the spit and placed on a flat top and charred. The burrito was good size and filled with onions which still had a nice crunch, tomato, cheese, avocado and sour cream. It was one of the best Al Pastor burritos I have ever had. It came with green and red sauce; the green was ok could be a little spicier for my taste and the red fell short because it was too tomato based. I also had the Menudo, it was awesome also. To me menudo sauce has to be a little sticky and have a little heat, the size of the tripe (cows stomach) is very important as well. They used a nice blend of medium and large tripe cut into nice bites. We thoroughly enjoyed their food. The wait and the sauces were a draw back but not enough to take away a 5 star rating. Been here a couple of times and it's definitely a go to if you want good tacos. The prices have rose due to inflation and covid. However the portions are huge and can easily serve two people if you have a small appetite. I got the enchiladas de verde with chicken and cheese and was full with two. It came with Mexican rice, beans and cheese, and a salad too. If you eat indoors, you get complimentary chips and salsa. read more

I will begin here, I live and work in the area, I have gone passed this location on several occasions but never stopped in because I had my go to taco spot, which unfortunately changed over the years. I was recommend by a friend of the family. So one Saturday I took the trip there. What could I say the tacos we had are hands down the best I ever tasted. The carnitas was excellently seasoned, and my other two tacos were amazing. It was worth it. Very clean location, the staff are amazing. The second time we went the chilaques breakfast easily serves two people. The carne asada had an amazing taste, one of the best ever had. I am glad I finally stopped in. I will be back soon. Started off with complimentary chips and salsa and the chips were fresh, salsa was not. Had a steak sandwich, along with a taco and another vegetarian taco for lunch. Steak sandwich was pretty good, perfectly seasoned. The bread was nice and toasty on the inside, pressed on the grill with light butter to give it that char looked, and dressed with melted chihuahua cheese, grilled onions and lots of lettuce. I've been to this place a few times before and it wasn't so bad, but most recently I bought a steak burrito and was very unhappy about it. There was very little meat in the burrito, mostly cheese and lettuce. Also there was a huge tomato slice folded in the burrito which should have been diced. It cost nearly $13 too. Considering what came in it I'd say the price was not worth it. If you're ordering a burrito from there and they ask what you want in it, do not say you want "everything". read more
