I went here for an alignment. Requested to stay while the car was serviced, was told they would not permit me to wait. Note that I was there 2 minutes after business opened. Had to call my son to come get me. The business had taken car back to service area. Waited over an hour in a local parking lot and the business called and said that a cam bolt needed to be replaced in order for the alignment to hold. They also said that the car would need struts in the future and asked if I wanted to replace them now. The total for the alignment, the bolt, and struts would be over $800. Declined the struts. Was told that the car should be ready the following day. Got a call in the following morning saying that they'd sensed a "vibration" in the tires and wanted to check it out. At this point, I just wanted to know what they'd try to pull next. When the return call came, I was told that there was wear on the front tires from being out of alignment. Again, they'd need to be replaced "at some point." They suggested I go ahead and replace them now, but that "it wasn't absolutely necessary." I told them no. NOW: I'm a 60 year old woman. My son had taken his truck to Minor and bought tires and had an alignment with no problems. The fact that they would not let me stay with the vehicle makes me wonder if the plan was to find additional problems. I don't like feeling that they're trying to take advantage of me because I'm a woman, but that's how it seems to me. The indefinite "at some point" really ticks me off. All tires have to be replaced "at some point." The tires had been rotated/balanced less than 1,000 miles before this trip, and no mention of the need for an alignment was mentioned. I know that the vehicle was pulling to the left and an alignment was needed when I took it to Minor, but I don't think there'd be wear to the tires in less that short time. The sign on the business says "friendly service since 1978." I believe they did, indeed, set out to "serve" me. I will not be back. read more

I guess all good things come to an end. I was a 22 year customer here and always bragged about this place and sent others to shop here. However when a place takes advantage of a woman and doesn't honor warranties on tires that are coming apart with less than guaranteed miles, things change. I hope others see this and consider going somewhere else. I wish it didn't have to be this way but life goes on and they are not the only place around that sells tires. read more

Great place. Service people know what they are doing Another shop in town told me that my tire which had been plugged by them was now unrepairable and that I needed a new one in the amount of $240.00. called Minor and went straight there and they repaired my tire by breaking it down and patching the hole. No charge for flat repair, but I asked that it be rebalanced and they charged me $10.00 for that. Wish I had bought the tires from Minor rather than the other place. I have bought my tires at Minor for years. Great selection of tires at reasonable prices. Front desk and garage folks are very helpful and friendly. Flats are fixed free if tires bought there but they have fixed other folks for no charge as well. Very fast service to get you back on the road quickly waiting room is clean and comfortable. Complimentary coffee and popcorn. I can't imagine going elsewhere. read more
