Every time we dine at Minsky's the pizza is delish. Tonight was no different...hot and bubbly. We aren't sure if it changed owners, but they have changed the lighting to bright white lights, and they removed a lot of the art work from the walls. It felt like visiting a hospital cafeteria...no longer cozy. Our waitress was sweet, but there were only two for the whole restaurant, so service was slow. Hoping we just hit an off night. read more

I first heard about this place at work. Kai, my buddy told me to get the prime cut pizza. He said there are slabs of bacon across every slice and boy was he correct. Right when we walked in, we got graded and asked if it was here for dine in or take out. We got sat within seconds. We ordered this with a couple of drinks no appetizers, but this is all we needed. We were sent a $10 off coupon since we just moved to Missouri, And we thought "hey, let's go check out Minsky's." My coworker told me about this place and I can't be bad, right?" Right... Amazing! I always start with the food at the food place, because that's what we're here for! It's all about good quality food. The first thing that I noticed the pizza sauce. It tantalized all of my taste buds... the sausage was packed with so much seasoning, the crust wasn't bad, but I definitely cannot taste the olive oil and sea salt, but it was a unique flavor, which I don't mind when something is authentic and original. And overall the service was OK? Our server gave us everything we needed. We did not get checked on, but hey to each his own some people like that some people down... our table was clean felt like a typical pizza joint. Brown pews, dark lighting with a 3000k light temperature hahah (you know what I'm talking about) When I come here again? Yes. Would I recommend this place to others? Yes I cannot give it a five star because I feel the customer service could've been a little better, but it was not anything to make me upset. Also, I would also like to see people talking to me as I leave. I like it when people treat me with an attitude of "nice to have you, come back again" attitude. I ordered via DoorDash and won't order again. 50 dollars for a small and mini, (granted things are always higher when ordering from apps). I wouldn't complain about the price if they would have gotten my order right. I ordered a cracker crunch pizza and got a undercooked, very doughy med crust pizza. I threw it away as undercooked dough makes me gag, literally. The mini I ordered added diced tomatoes and it cost about 1.20 for the addition. I know prices are up but there were 2 slices of pizza with 2 small pieces of diced tomatoes. I guess they think it's ok to send whatever crust they want and throw a teaspoon or less of toppings and call it a completed order. I won't be ordering again. I complained on doordash with no response and places don't answer their phone so I'm just out the money. read more

We visit this establishment on a regular basis. Or we did. We went last week on a Thursday and while they were not busy, service was very slow. I would never write a bad review about that as I used to be a server and understand. First we waited for someone to take our order for a very long time. Second, while we got our drinks, our appetizer that we ordered never came. Again, I am ok with this. After our pizzas were finally delivered, we had to ask for plates and silverware ( party of 4, 2 pizzas) nothing was difficult about our order. We had a large BBQ chicken. There were maybe 5 small pieces of chicken, some onion and little to no bbq sauce. No cilantro. When I mentioned the cilantro to the server ) who I do not blame) someone took some money off instead of offering to fix it. The other large pizza was a prime cut to which we added cream cheese. Again, there was maybe 5-6 small chunks of cream cheese. Again, these things happen so instead of writing this review, I emailed the store and also responded to the survey as we are repeat customers. After a week of no response, I chose to write this. I am a firm believer in supporting local but if this is the way they support us, I will take my business to pizza place. read more

We were seated quickly, our server came right over and took our drink order. We ordered the jumbo wings and fries for an appetizer. Here lately the service has been hit or miss. Most times that we have been, the food and service is amazing. We went last weekend and it was really empty. Our server didn't put in our to go order for my daughter in law, so when we were done eating, I asked about it and she apologized for not putting it in. They were out of something that we ordered, so we ordered something else, but the original item along with the second item were still on the ticket. One star because I can't give less Not a pleasant experience. Had 8 people in our group. When seated (no wait) there were maybe 6 tables seated already. we were the biggest group. It's 2:00 in the afternoon also. We placed our orders that included 2 orders of bread sticks and 1order of cheese sticks. 55 min later no food. I went to quietly express my disappointment to the manager and he couldn't talk to me because he was making pizza. The waitress asked if she could do something for me. I told her the last time my husband and I were there with one other couple we had to wait an hour and half to get our food because they lost our order. Now we are at almost an hour and nothing again. I was informed that they were short staffed and busier than expected, then said when you have multiple appitzers they like to send those out together and if another table orders one appitizer they get theirs first. She said my salad was part of that. So an hour later we get the appitzers and then 10 minutes later we get our meal. The manager came to my table and I told him how disappointed I was and he said ok I need to go make pizza ‍ and shook his head as he walked away. Not sure what I expcited but not that. I have been a loud Minsky's supporter for a long time. This location is nickel and diming like crazy though now. $.69 for a ranch cup when spending $18 on a small pizza is silly. Add in charges for extra sauces for appetizers, $2 charges for kids drinks with kids meals.... Wth Minsky's. Not cool. Sure that's only $6 extra so far. $9 22 oz Yeungling drafts, $14 Philly Cheesesteak... This isn't the freaking ballpark. Wow. So I thought this was funny enough to write about it. I ordered a side of fries but of course with covid we had to ask for ketchup. My husband had also ordered a bbq pizza that had little to no bbq sauce on it so we asked for a bbq sauce since it was so dry. When we got the check we were charged 60¢ for the ketchup and ¢60 for the bbq sauce. We were charged for trying not to send back the bad food they gave us. I find businesses that nickel and dime people silly. It was one thing to charge me for the side of ranch I asked for, fine that really didn't go with my food that was a special request but to charge for ketchup with fries or the sauce that should have come on the pizza! This place needs to be inspected and shut down by the Health Dept. We love going to Minsky's Pizza when we travel to KC, but this place was disgusting. I have no idea what was oozing from the white PVC pipe into a drain in the women's bathroom... but it was brown and appeared mucous-like in consistency and it's all I could think about while eating. Then watched the busser drag a full, leaking trash bag through the kitchen, manhandle the trash can and lid as she replaced the trash bag and lid. Then pass out menus without washing her hands... I feel sick writing this review. I honestly don't know how I was able to eat anything. This place gives Minsky's a bad name. Do not eat at this location... disgusting! read more

Never a bad experience at Minsky's Pizza in Blue Springs. We love the multitude of topping selections, the many crust styles to choose from and the choice of several sauces. And whether we are eating individually, as a couple or invite a larger group of family and friends, they have the appropriate size of pizzas. So yummy, as is the selection of appetizers, salads and beverages. We take part in the rewards program and love when we get $10.00 off from time to time along with free pizzas for special events, like our anniversary and birthdays! We spent $50 on a large, medium, and two mini's. Already wasn't super pleased but we thought trying a pizza place we don't have often would be good. We were WRONG. Got carry out and it all smelled good. I got one of each crust as I wasn't sure what we would like. The wheat was AWFUL, but that's my fault maybe others like it. I was very shocked at the literally BURNT "roasted" red peppers. They weren't good but easy to pick off. the "sun dried" tomatoes are just regular tomatoes. But the worst part was the roasted garlic, I LOVE garlic, a lot of it. But this pizza was literally coated in straight raw garlic. Just awful, will never eat at a minsky's again, I'll stick with Papa Murphy or Northern Lights. read more

Minsky's Pizza is the BEST in KC! We use the one in Blue Springs off 7Hwy. My favorite is the Prime Cut. Its loaded with flavor! But what's also amazing is their VIP program. They are often giving me $10 off or a free pizza for everyone in the families birthday or anniversary! It's almost at every other order I'm getting a discount. This isn't a review of the food but of how this location (Blue Springs) handled a situation that could have been a positive, customer focused experience but ended up being an FU to the customer. I had an anniversary gift set to expire on Sunday Dec 6, 2020. I called on Friday night to place an order and was told the store was closed. OK - no issue, things happen, I'll try again on Sunday. I called a little after 5pm on Sunday and was told that they were only doing deliveries supposedly due to some COVID issue. What - COVID is only an issue after 5, OR, are you trying to boost sales by enforcing the minimum delivery fee - which takes me to my particular situation. Since my order was free, I was told that I'd have to order an additional $12.50 in food to meet the minimum delivery requirement. I didn't need or want additional food so I offered 3 reasonable solutions. 1. I offered to drive up to their parking lot and someone could place the pizza in my vehicle - no interaction needed. 2. They could waive the delivery minimum in this instance since it wasn't my fault that they're having issues. 3. Extend the expiration date on the gift certificate. This seemed very doable, but no said the manager. Bottom line - there was zero interest in accommodating the customer with either of the very sensible resolutions. A big FU to the customer. read more

We had to wait over an hour to be told that they were really busy but there were empty tables. We got out appetizer after about 45 minutes.
