First impression was that the office is new, clean, and "luxury" looking. But that's where it stops. I came in as a new patient for check-up and cleaning. My last exam and cleaning was six months ago. I get a cleaning done every six months, but my former dentist didn't take my insurance anymore so I was assigned by my insurance to Mint Apple Dental. As a new patient, the customer service was not warm, just basic at best. No body asked how I'm doing, what I do, etc.; everything was very transactional. While I was waiting, the receptionist called my insurance to get my dental history and she had it on speaker phone for everyone to hear. X-ray went fine. The doctor did a very quick look and poked around my mouth and recommend 3 b-filling for abrasions. The staff explained that my fillings will be covered by insurance, but I have to get desensitizer med costing $75 for each tooth. My cleaning is also covered, but they require localized medicine for an additional $75. They explained that desensitizer med is not anesthesia, but to help the teeth from feeling cold/heat/sour sensitivity after the procedure. "It's a good option" they said. But I said, if it's optional then I don't' want it, just do the regulars filling. They said, no we have do use the medicine or we can't do the filling. It was the same with the cleaning. They required local antibacterial medicine for a cleaning, which is not usual in my history of going to the dentist every six months. They even said this is what we contract with your insurance, which is BS because insurance doesn't require these treatments as part of a cleaning or filling. When I pressed them, they didn't seem to have really good answers. I said I was not comfortable with them charging me for optional add-ons, but they insisted they were necessary for cleaning and abrasive filling. So I walked out and didn't give them my business. Conclusion: this place requires additional add-ons that are not needed in order to get more money out of you. Save your money and find an honest dental office. read more

To sum it up: Poor reception, xrays hurt, bad filling. I wouldn't recommend. Seemed good at first due to the yelp ratings, but I was very mistaken. The parking lot was big. The office was well lit and nicely decorated. That's where all the niceness ends though. Before coming, I called in to schedule an appointment for a routine cleaning and to fill one filling that had fallen out. I mentioned I hadn't been to a dentist in a bit over a year and they immediately told me I needed a deep cleaning and insurance needs to approve it first. Normally, dentists would do an inspection of your teeth first to determine the condition before recommending a deep cleaning. On the appointment day, I was greeted with a very dismissive reception girl that had an exasperated expression. They said my insurance hadn't approved the deep cleaning yet, so I'll just be doing the one filling + checkup that day. The x-ray tech was new and it seemed like I was her first x-ray, since another x-ray tech was standing nearby whispering instructions to her. The plastic X-Ray cushions HURT like hell because she was putting it at wrong angles. This caused the x-rays to turn out bad, thus requiring additional shots. After the female dentist did my filling, I paid the bill and left. I get a call 2 hours later because they forgot to charge me for something that the dentist did. Drove back to the office, paid the extra $40, then went home with a bad taste in my mouth. 4 months later, I got better dental insurance and went to a highly rated dentist. I was shown pictures of my the previous filling done at Mint Apple... There was a dang hole in the filling! It was a cavity within the filling of my cavity. Another 3 months go by and the filling from Mint Apple actually fell out. Needless to say, I will not be coming back. read more

I didn't feel rushed or that the services were done at a lower quality, he was just really good at what he did so he was able to perform the work quickly. First time I went to this facility, the unit was closed. I had a 1pm appt and the doors were locked. I was about to leave after 5 mins when everyone showed up. I guess they went on an extended lunch. I wasn't aware that they have a $5 co-pay for office visit so I paid it anyway. If you want to save money and not waste your time, I suggest you go somewhere else. Don't say you were never warned.
