My husband and I have been going for the past year after extensive research for a new dentist post move (I've had some bad experiences with dental care before here so I'm picky.) I found Dr. Dang based on amazing yelp and google reviews and he totally proves that those reviews aren't fake haha! I was in need of a new dentist almost 2 years ago because my last one traumatized me and treated me like crap. I've had terrible dentists in my entire 30 years of life and Dr. Dang was the first dentist who didn't make me feel anxious or upset about going to the dentist anymore. Dr. Dang has amazing bedside manners. He is gentle in his tone and speaks to you very calmly. He sits there and listens to everything you have to say. He answers all of your questions and does not rush you whatsoever. He has great technology in his office and uses it during every exam and procedure. I'm a visual person and it's great that he takes pictures of my teeth, puts it on the screen and explains what's going on with my teeth (like if there is a cavity, you can see it in the picture). This is great because I've felt so scammed in the past by other dentists doing procedures that aren't needed without me knowing if there was even a problem in the first place. There are little things that Dr. Dang does that I really appreciate (after having had terrible dentists). He always says "l'm here for you" when it comes to doing procedures. Basically if I need anything during a procedure, he's here and I'll know that he can respect my wishes - like if need additional anesthesia or if i need to take a little break. He also never claims to know everything. If there's an issue he can't figure out with my tooth, he will suggest I go to a specialist and not try to take care of it in his own office (there are a lot of greedy dentists out there that will try to do procedures they don't know much about to take your money). I've been with Dr. Dang for almost 2 years and I can say I fully trust him for taking care of my dental health. My boyfriend needed a new dentist so I referred him over to Dr. Dang as well and he's had great experiences. I also have to include that his staff of assistants are really sweet as well. It's hard to find a dentist that is honest. Before my very first appointment, Dr. Dang gave me a personal call to ask for my needs. Him and his team are very thorough in their work, they give you a whole debrief on what work you need to do and what to look out for in the future. This office is also very on top of their work, they make sure to book you in efficiently so you don't have to come in multiple times. They're also very communicative and do their best to get a hold of you and your insurance. The best thing however is how they do their best to save you money. My teenage son was experiencing some tooth discomfort. I contacted Precision Dental and they were able to squeeze him in to be seen. The staff were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Dr Peter Dang was professional, caring and took the time to explain what was going on with my son (wisdom teeth issue). He also gave us a referral to a local oral surgeon. We felt comfortable there and have scheduled my son's future cleaning and check up appointments here. I have had multiple Dentists across Orange County over the past 20 years, and Dr. Dang is far and away the highest quality of care that I've ever received. With every single appointment I'm left with the impression that every member of his office genuinely cares about me, the patient, compared to other practices that may be more interested in your bill. This place is legit. Takes the time to really inform me of possible procedures and what they are looking at the. The staff is very nice and easy to talk to. I haven't gone to a dentist since about 2016 so there was quite some build up in between my teeth. So I was educated on properly flossing and also Sean/Shawn is so sweet. She did the deep clean for my teeth and my mouth feels great. No pain, no soreness, even though she was going TO TOWN on my mouth. I have delta dental insurance and they wanted to charge me for deep cleaning $100+/session which would take multiple sessions. My colleagues with the same insurance said that's it's fully covered with their dentists. I also felt the dentist was really trying to up-sell the constant deep cleaning so I would need to periodically get it every couple of months. Something that didn't feel right. I got put through a lot of pain for something that probably wasn't needed. Better to shop around and get a quote. Office was clean though and staff was okay. read more

As a dental assistant, I seek out dentist who have the same (if not higher) standard of care, I would want for my patients. I found it!! It looks like they only hire the best and most experienced assistants and receptionist. I was able to book an appointment for a consultation the next day. A place with all 5-star reviews? You could say I was a little skeptical at first--especially since my childhood dentist of 18+ years sucked--but the visit was actually a very pleasant experience! So obviously, at first, I wasn't too excited about this visit, especially when it was a super random one while I was down here for work. I was due for my cleaning and my new dentist back home in NorCal hadn't called me yet to schedule (umm, don't you care about me as a patient/client?) BUT my orthodontist was expecting me with a freshly cleaned mouth at my next appointment in a few days. Ugh, what's a girl to do?? Some of my friends knew Dr. Dang and since I had some pockets of downtime from work, I called to see if I could be seen and apparently, the dentist who owned the practice previously had been closed Tuesday's, so it was a slow day for them--lucky me?! I'm also extremely cautious when driving a rented car, so I was really appreciative that the staff told me I didn't have to pay for parking, despite the signs (it's only for 3+ hrs). Whew, so far so good. Since it was a slow day for them, I had the pleasure of having Dr. Dang himself do my cleaning. Dr. Dang patiently took his time to get to know me and I think he could feel some of my anxiety coz he asked me straight up lol. I told him how my childhood dentist would always rush, haphazardly nick my gums and make my mouth bleed. With that being said, Dr. Dang was so gentle!! One of the things I appreciated the most was the fact that right off the bat, he established with me a non-startling signal (raise/wave my left hand) to indicate to him that I was uncomfortable. Do you know why? Because usually there's some tool, usually whirring, in my mouth when I'm uncomfortable and I don't want to startle the dentist and have him accidentally do something worse! Also, he always gave me a head's up whenever he was going to work on a new area of my mouth, what sensations to expect, etc. The cherry on top was that I was able to close my eyes during the cleaning and actually relax. I was a patient at this office back when it was Dr. Morimoto's practice. When Dr. Dang bought the practice, I stayed because of my hygienist there. After I got some work done by Dr. Dang I decided to change to another dentist. I wasn't comfortable with the recommended work and after it was done, I have some tooth sensitivity that still lingers a year later. Maybe it was time to change, maybe it wasn't. To be fair and honest, I knew Peter in H.S., so maybe I'm biased, but when it comes to dental care, I don't believe bias of a person's nature can overcome their skill at treating you while also taking care of your overall comfort (Though in case you are wondering, his character is way above par. He's a spectacular human.) Regardless of our personal connection, I'm predominantly picky about my dentists (when finances allow me to be so). And he has not just hit the mark for a great one, but exceeded it. Both my uncle and cousin are dentists, and yet I have never been one to take care of my dental needs as well as I should have. I have a mess of a mouth. It's terrible but true. Part of it is due to both bad genes and personal neglect on my part earlier in life, other due to not being able to afford treatment at times, and the rest due to the fact that even though I sometimes had access via my family members, it has always been a severely uncomfortable process for me. I feel the judgement as soon as I open my mouth. It's not even the pain or frustration of the procedure, it's the mental aspects that keep me away from going to the dentist. I am actually excited to further my treatment with Dr. Dang. He helped me find a great endodontist for the complicated root canal I needed after a "fast-food" dentist left several pockets of decay under my last crown (the last guy was hoping he'd get to charge me for the root canal eventually, I'm sure). His staff went out of their way to contact my insurance and make sure I was covered, even though the crown was done just a year ago, and my insurance usually doesn't cover replacement within 5 years. I have much more work that needs to be addressed, and I have never felt in safer hands, knowing that even if it is not easy, both Dr. Dang and his staff are fighting for me. They have all been so patient, thoughtful, proactive, and responsive to my needs. Dental work can be terrifying, even if you understand it well. Dr. Dang goes out of his way to ensure you are comfortable, that you understand what is happening and why, and also allows you to be a part of the decision making process, rather than trying to force procedures on you that are unnecessary. He is a gentle hand, an intelligent mind, and a good soul who has all of his patient's best interests at heart. Dr. Dang and his staff are phenomenal! I love that everyone there is super friendly which made my dental visit a pleasant experience. Upon entering the office, I was greeted with a warm smile and "hello". I just barely sat down in the waiting room when the hygienist, Shawn, called me in to do my cleaning. She was the best! Shawn was very thorough and gentle with my cleaning, she must have spent the good part of an hour scraping plaque and tartar off my teeth since it's been a while since my last cleaning. I felt slightly embarrassed but she totally made me feel comfortable with her fun and friendly personality! When Shawn was done, Dr. Dang came in to examine my x-rays and look in my mouth. He explained what he saw and made some suggestions regarding my wisdom teeth. The thing I appreciate about Dr. Dang is that he's really conservative in his recommendations for treatment. He's going to keep an eye on a couple of areas, but he told me he's not interested in doing unnecessary treatment, and I have a lot of respect for him because of that. Afterwards, Dr. Dang encouraged me to come back every six months for my routine exam and cleaning.
