I have been going to Mint cleaners for both seamstress and cleaning needs. They have always been welcoming and efficient. Every piece of clothing I have had shortened (sleeves and hem), shirts tailored in at the waist, or pants made more shapely have been excellent. The cleaning is always ready when they say it will be. They are honest and would not clean something if it wouldn't work out. I can't imagine going anywhere else. read more

Cheapest dry cleaner I've been too! Got 3 dress shirts dry cleaned for just over $4! Service was excellent and my shirts look new.

Although I've been here once, I know that this will be my go-to dry cleaner in Waltham. The woman working behind the counter was very nice and the store is very well kept. Even though there are many dry cleaners in Waltham, what I especially like about this location is that there are deals and promotions. For example, by finding them on Facebook and Twitter or being a Brandeis student, you can get 10% off. I tried another location (Royalty Cleaners) and encountered about the same level of customer service at both locations. But with the discount, my dry cleaning that I got done at Mint was noticeably less expensive. read more

This place is awesome!! I wore my sparkly new Alice + Olivia dress on New Year's Eve and had multiple drinks spilled on me throughout the course of the evening. The next day, I was horrified to see about 30 small stains all over my new party dress. Mint Dry cleaners got it to look like new again :) They also do a great job on alterations. I get all of my pants shortened here (why do they make jeans SO long these days?) and they always end up the perfect length. New management is super friendly and prices are VERY reasonable. read more

This place is exactly on my drive between work and my apartment, which was my only real requirement for picking a dry cleaner/tailor. However, I had them replace a zipper / torn seam on a verrryyy tight dress that had pretty much no extra room for my body if sewn wrong. They were very accomodating with times for me to come try it on before the seamstress finished the repair, and it looks fabulous now. Great customer service and place! Although its on the main st in Waltham, you can always pull up in front of the store to drop off/pick up. If not, there is parking in the back. We get our stuff drycleaned here on a regular basis. The husband and wife team are so nice and will accommodate you if you need something turnaround quicker. I've also used them to tailor some sweaters and they did a great job. Prices seem reasonable as well. read more

i have been to cheap dry cleaners. i have been to expensive dry cleaners. i like my dry cleaning fast and well-done and not smelling like grease, and affordable, especially when i'm doing a couple suits a week for a little while. mint does the trick! run by an asian couple, the prices are right, and delivery is as promised (~2 day turnover -- didn't ask for faster, but who knows). the details? sport jacket for $6.35, dress shirt for $5.25, pants for $5.25, $1 to sew back a button. niice. professionally done and clean and efficient and cheap, and friendly service. what more to ask? p.s. the hours are on my receipt, so i'll include them here, since they're not otherwise on the yelp site. Like others have mentioned, these people burn clothes and refuse to take responsibility. My shirt had sewed-in collar stays and I'd been having it dry-cleaned for over a year with no issues. Mint cleaners managed to melt the collar stays and leave black marks on the collar. Of course, it wasn't their fault, it was the shirt's fault! Same visit, my brand new black shirt was burned so bad on the collar, there was no way I would wear it again. They did agree to "try to fix it" when I took the 2 shirts back. I also took another 2 white shirts at the same time. When I went to pick them up, the burned shirts were not fixed. The owner would not accept any responsibility even after I explained that the black shirt was brand new and cost $60. He even had the nerve to charge me for the other 2 shirts. I left the 2 burned shirts on the counter and told him to throw them away for me. Before these incidents, I was a regular customer that would take $20-30 of work every week. Had they said "we're sorry. We must have set our press temperature too high. Here's $40 store credit for future work to make up for it." I would probably continue going there. Being a business owner myself, I was shocked at the way this was handled. read more

Today, I was insulted at this dry cleaners and did not even receive an apology. I came in for hemming and also wanted to get prices for alterations on an evening gown and pressing of dress shirts. For the press she had previously told me on the phone, that if I brought over 35 pieces per week I could get a 10% discount. I was trying to explain to her that I needed a discount in order to encourage me to bring in such an amount but before I could even finish what I was saying she started getting really rude. She wasn't even acknowledging the 10% that they already give people for finding them on facebook, let alone putting in any sort of effort to win over a customer that was going to bring her in big bucks every week! So I completely dropped it and figure I would take my business somewhere else. As for hemming, I've hemmed several pants here before and was surprised to find that the woman behind the counter was requesting $14 on a jumpsuit pant hem and $16 on jeans rather than the $12 that I usually pay. I proceeded to explain that I came here before and she insisted that it wasn't for jeans even though it was. All I wanted was an explanation, and that is my right as a customer. She then arrogantly said "You should just take it somewhere else, but not here. You are comparing it to your country!" From my shock all I could do was tell her that I am comparing it to YOUR own prices based on what YOU told me before and that she has no right talking to me in this manner. I told her she could be straightforward and explain, or even just say she can't do it but DO NOT insult me. I took my stuff and proceeded to stomp outside the story and I received absolutely no apology at least. This is coming from the lady who has an accent I can barely understand, and I being a person who lived in Chicago my whole life with no accent who she could probably only identify as being "foreign looking" solely based on my appearance. This, is DISCRIMINATION AND RACISM AND PREJUDICE. Coming from another minority! How would you like it if I told you that compared to YOUR Asian country you should be grateful! Don't you dare cross that line!!! You have no business ethic, you have an attitude, and you do not deserve business because you are rude and disrespectful. You are also stupid because you just lost a customer due to your smart mouth. I will be filing a complaint with consumer reports. read more

No..No..No... The cleaners burnt my husband's Hugo Boss jacket. I walked in, said the usual hellos and put the jacket on the table, waited for the owner to pull up my information. I showed him the jacket(with their hanger and cover on, the bill with date of service(2 days ago) in my hand- and told him the back of the jacket has a burn mark .The first response was no..no..no..it was not done here. I showed him the bill..."no, no, no" was the response. not very helpful, 30 minutes later - he still goes by the burn didn't come from here. So there goes a $400 jacket, with no help, agony and disappointment in me as a customer. No empathy from the owner, except for a unapologetic "no" to everything I said in the last 30 minutes.I left the place with a headache and never to return. Think twice before you give your expensive stuff here, yes this place is cheap and turn around is fast, quality suffers and so is accountability ! I'm VERY upset with Mint Cleaners. I've only used them twice and both times they've been terrible. The first time I brought my comforter to be cleaned there and they charged me about $10 more than all the other cleaners in the area. I should have done my research before I brought it to them so that's my own fault. But to top it off, when I went to pick it up, they had it sitting in the front window on a shelf with the sun directly on it for a couple days which actually faded a good portion. Thankfully it was the underside that no one sees. But that was nothing compared to what happened to me today. I dropped off a dress to be cleaned there on Friday and asked to have it back on Tuesday (a rush job). She marked it to be done on Wednesday?? and told me it MIGHT be done on Tuesday. I said okay I guess but first I confirmed with her that they would be open until 7pm those days. She said Yes and the sign on the front door agreed. So I rush there on Wednesday and arrive right at 6pm. They were CLOSED! I couldn't believe it!! So the next morning I arrive promptly at 8am because I need this dress today!! They are CLOSED again!! The sign says they open at 7:30am. I can't believe it! I'm so upset. Now I'm losing money b/c I have to leave work early to go back there again to pick it up. I will never ever go there again and I suggest you don't either. Go to another cleaner in the area. There are many to choose from. read more

They're out of my way, but they have great customer service and reasonable prices. I've only had my clothes dry cleaned (I haven't used their tailoring service). They have great turnaround time. They also have specials on Twitter and Facebook. I tried two other cleaners, and they wanted to nickle and dime me for every little thing. Mint Cleaners doesn't do that, so I'm a fan. read more

This is a wonderful place with a very friendly staff. I had a job interview, so I needed my suit to be tailored and pressed almost right away. Everything was done as I expected and quickly. The tailor did excellent work and the suit fits perfectly. Next time I brought my blouses and my boyfriend's shirts for cleaning and I can tell that the prices were quite reasonable,the service was excellent again. Moreover it saved me hours of doing laundry and ironing at home. I definitely will go back there and become a regular customer. read more

If you pre-pay with cash make sure they write that on your receipt. Last week I brought in a couple shirts and pants. I paid $30, was told to pick up in 3 days. I went in tonight to pick up my clothes and was told I did not pre-pay. It's only $30, I wasn't trying to rob anyone but they kept saying "our computer doesn't say you pre-pay". The guy even remembered me because I asked about getting jeans hemmed, he said he didn't remember if I pre-paid. After 10 minutes of trying to explain I'm a good customer, not trying to rip them off, I offered to split the difference and pay an additional $15. They said "no". I said, "I've already told you I need some alterations done soon, I'd be happy to come back and have that done as well as all my other dry cleaning, I want to make sure I understand you-you're willing to lose $100's of dollars in the future over $15 right now"? They said "yes". i said "That's an interesting business model, good luck with that", paid them another $30 and left. Make sure your receipt says "pre-paid" on it when you leave or they might "forget" you paid too. I will not be back, there's plenty of other dry cleaners in the area. read more

NEVER use this business. I brought in 3 dress shirts and 2 pants. Upon opening the shirt bag at home, I found black oil/grease spots had been spattered all over the back, inside collar, and sides of 2 of the 3 shirts. I went back and asked them to fix the stains on my 2 shirts. They took them back to reclean them. When I went to pick them up, not only were the grease spots still there, but two new stains of a copper color were present. The woman at the counter said she had dry cleaned the shirts twice and there was nothing more she could do. She then proceeded to tell me" I don't know how they got there, I didn't take a picture when you brought them in.".. implying I had stained them. When I asked for them to replace the shirts she loudly announced "You got the $1.90 service, that's all we can do." She then walked away from me and tended someone who had walked in, then turned back to me and told me that is all she could do, I should leave. Worst customer service experience I have had in a long time and ruined two Lacoste dress shirts. Don't make the same mistake I did... NEVER go to this business...they do not deserve your or anyone else's money. read more

I brought my nice white comforter here and when I got it back it had a little spot of some sort of black stuff and a couple large yellow stains...haven't brought it back in yet to complain but based on previous reviews I'm not optimistic they'll be helpful...definitely not going here again. read more

I brought my clothes here a couple of times, the first time went well - so I had high hopes for Mint Cleaners. The second time, however, was a horrible nightmare - they ruined two pairs of pants by pressing them when clearly they should have not been pressed (per the dry cleaning instruction tags that said 'do not press, no high heat, dry clean only'). Although they tried to 'redo' it, which in my view was a miserable attempt to not admit fault, upon pickup, the women in charge was extremely condescending and really just plain rude - like she was doing me a favor. Had she apologized or even offered me some sort of discount for this I would have probably overlooked it this time. However this wasn't the case at all, I just got a bunch of attitude along with two pairs of ruined pants. I will never go back, even though this was convenient for me in terms of location since I dry clean on a weekly basis. It's one thing to make a mistake, we all do it - it's human nature, but to not try and rectify it or at least apologize - is just plain distasteful. read more

God knows why, but my really nice Free People dress did not come made with a hook and eye clasp. With that said, the zipper kept sliding down and I needed to get that fixed asap before my banquet. After going through yelp and calling a billion tailor places in the area to see if they provide this service, I decided to try out Mint. I went there and they did it right on the spot though I had to wait about 15 minutes or so. But the two ladies working there that day were really friendly and the person who was sewing the hook and eye clasp had a whole conversation with me. The quality is great because apparently, she was using the strongest thread (it wasn't really a thread. I just forgot the name of it). Definitely will go there again if I need alterations or anything. read more

So I just moved to Waltham due to a new job. I have to dress professional at my work place. As I was unpacking I came across some old business suits. They were in great shape, however they did not fit my shape(lol). I was in desperate need of a tailor. Im not familiar with this area so I did some researching online and came across Mint Dry Cleaners as one of the most affordable cleaners and tailors. I took my chance. Boy am I glad I did!. I was skeptical at first, only because I always am leaving delicate clothes in the hands of strangers, especially when I pick a dry cleaners based on their reasonable prices. But they did a great job! I'm going to a wedding soon and have a very nice dress that had accumulated stains over the years sitting in my mother's closet. They got them all out! Fantastic job and at a reasonable price (including my 10% off because I'm a Brandeis student). I think the prices could be a tad cheaper, though. read more

I've had good experiences here, and have been a customer for quite some time. I also appreciate that they let me bring my own hangers, saving me time when I put away the clothes at home. I wish the parking was a little easier, but it's not a deal breaker. The prices seem fair for the area. I recently moved out of Waltham to Rhode Island and switched to another dry cleaner. I miss Mint so much! Their attention to detail is phenomenal. All wrinkles are removed, no unwanted wrinkles added to delicate fabrics like silk, and they do a great job removing stains without damaging the fabric. read more

My other cleaner closed for a vacation which gave me the opportunity to use this hidden gem on main st. Kim who seemed like the owner and gave me quick efficient service. She was pleasant and eeked a certain down to earth contentment about her valued service. My pants came out spotless and I don't know if it was the new customer discount but for $10 I got 3 shirts and some pants done without a thing wrong. read more

Brought my prom dress here and they did a great job with the alterations. The only down side is it was a little pricy, but overall they did a great job!! I would definitely recommend them as a tailor. read more
