Dr. Moussa and the dental assistant, Ana, were very warm, thorough, and communicative - without being too chatty :), just how I prefer. Dr. Moussa and Ana were gentle when it came to all of the procedures and I felt as at ease as one can at the dentist. The front desk staff were also warm and able to answer my questions about billing. I also appreciated how clean and well cared for all of the spaces of the office were, with the coolest lime green dental chairs I've ever seen, as well as a nice window view during my procedures. I've had a great experience with Mint Dental so far. I fist came to them a few months ago for an emergency root canal and have since gone back to them for a cleaning. Everyone there is very helpful and attentive. They really helped me out and were very accommodating when I first came to them in pain. It's kindof expensive so for my honest review to anyone considering coming here that's the only downside. And unfortunately with my insurance I have to pay up front first and then get reimbursed from my insurance company later for the portion they cover. Regardless of that I would still go back. I started going to Mint Dental Loft earlier this year after an issue with my crown and a long delay in going to my former dentist because of the pandemic. They made accommodations to take me in as a new patient on such short notice and took care of my issue with amazing care and educated me every step of the way. They accepted my insurance and then after examining me decided they didn't want to to the work I needed. Then told me I can go somewhere else and it would only cost me $58.00 to get re-examined. They took my insurance money knowing they could not honor the work. I therefore had to find another dentist and begin again. I want to find another dentist and have to pay again for examination. From receiving their lovely, gorgeously branded printed brochure in the mail, to communication and engagement via their easy to use website for the initial onboarding of myself and my family, the ease of access and visitation of the office itself, ease of scheduling, the friendliness and professionalism from an authentic, engaged staff - everything was super. Julissa and the Front Desk team were excellent. Thorough, patient, present, organized. Once we were checked in, there was no waiting. Jose, the hygienist, was methodical, skilled, friendly, and took the time to explain to my daughter each step of cleaning - giving guidance and insight along the way. Tran travels several months each year for the six years, I have had the pleasure of knowing her. She travels to keep herself "in the know" about the latest technology out there. It is good I couldnt find time to write it, since now after the recent developments I can keep my promise writing it, but give an accurate story. Here is the full story: I was told I needed a serious surgery. I decided to get a second opinion. Was looking for a free consultation. Searching on Yelp I have found Dental Loft. I have asked them if they give free consultations. They did. I made an appointment. And didn't notice they were far from me. So coming to a wrong location I realized and called them - they didn't get upset, and offered to call back to reschedule. Very polite. Five stars so far. Since I need to decide and thinking free consultation, I made a second appointment. Emailed my xrays to them. Rode an hour to get to them. The office is nice and high tech. Very clean. Five stars. The reception is polite and nice. Five stars. They asked me about my insurance. Maybe that moment I should have realized. But I have given them the info - thinking "maybe that ks was just in case". Saw the Dr. Tran (looks like she is the owner?). Very pleasant, explained everything, and answered patiently my questions. Five star. Even explain that the whole mouth is a system, and she would consider looking deeper into why there are problems. Five star. Didnt take any additional X-rays (common method of getting more $$), just used mine. 5 stars. So I went home happily, and equipped with the knowledge. I was trying to find a second to sit down and write my 5 star review to them. And just got a note from my insurance, showing they billed it. Ok, so why did you say "free"??? Most doctors would do consultation and bill the insurance. But they do not say "free consultation" or "free second opinion". I have very small insurance and I did not expect it to be billed. "Free" means Free. In the conversations I've asked and stressed several times "Since you say "free", I want free. They should have said they will bill the insurance. I like transparency, not partial truth. Thanks for the opinion and the service, but be honest. read more
