I went to the Heights office to get an implant mid March 2023. It's now November 2025 and I still don't have the crown (tooth) in my mouth . I had appointment Tuesday Nov (18th) only to be informed that the rod been in my mouth too long and needs to be surgically removed behind negligence ! They pretty much took my money and left me high and dry with no tooth. Beware this office is one of the worst dentistry's I have ever been to. Now I have a rod in my mouth in my mouth that is stuck. 4 stars! I didnt have anything done because this was an emergency visit and they couldn't help me right then. But The front desk was very professional and accommodating. They move around and are not fixtures behind a desk. The office was very nice and clean. They were well staffed. The dentist came in and checked me out based on my xrays. Gave me his plan of action , attempted to fix my issue but it was more than could be handled that day. They rescheduled me to come in the next week but my problem fixed itself after they dug around in my mouth for a few minutes. Overall Id come back and see what a full procedure is like. read more

Personally have had mixed thoughts about Mint. 1st they say they are a family dentist and my 6 yo old can be a patient, but when he needed work done, they send us to a pediatric dentist. So much for using 1 place. And now I get work done and they tell me they are now charging 3% for me to use my credit card. I asked since when? She said for about 5 months. She lied. My wife was here twice last month and used the same credit card and wasn't charged a fee. There are no signs. No notification of a policy change. I was nervous about leaving my previous dentist office of 15 years due to an insurance switch with my job but let me tell you everyone here is wonderful. This is has been the worst dental experience for me. I came for a cleaning and then was told I needed fillings. Ok fine! Dr. Jessica MacPherson did a botch job with the filling. The pain and discomfort has been such an inconvenience. Either she did not care because I am a Black woman or she doesn't know what she's doing. This entire situation is still not handled. The lack of care regarding my situation has been so heartbreaking. I am a clinician myself so I believe in a standard of care for clients. MINT failed to deliver that standard. First, I visited MINT last year for emergency dental work. The dentist was fine; however, please steer clear of the beast receptionist (if she's still there). She was a total BEAST, rude, obnoxious, and I hope I never see her again, Rude, rude, rude! Did I say rude?!? Their sign also stated free teeth whitening. Lies, lies, lies! Nothing is free. This company kept trying to bill my insurance for the whitening. Lastly, my emergency issue was never resolved with them because my insurance was OON and they wanted to bill/charge me a small fortune. Horrible experience! She takes care of my sensitive teeth issue (she even offered to add a numbing gel which helped tremendously!) and lets me watch whatever show that I want and is always bubbly and fun to talk to. Been coming here for over a year now and went to another dentist who ignored my tooth pain previously. Turns out I needed a root canal on this other tooth and a redo of my crown but she never caught it. My Mint dentist, however, did catch it and it was excellent afterwards. I've had no problems. My crown stayed on this go around and I have no more pain. I've been back for four cleanings and my teeth feel great, my hygienists are super nice, and everyone is really friendly. We were having trouble at first verifying the insurance (15-20 mins) but thought we had it all settled once the reception (nice guy) informed me they got it. I told him thank you & I waited patiently until they called my name. They took me to the back and I got my dental rads Then the woman from the front comes into the back room states that she tried to call the insurance to verify things but they're closed, She (black lady in the who verifies insurance right behind the receptionist) stated to pay the $90 for your exam ( which I haven't had an exam yet) and rads today, & come back another day for dental cleaning. I checked the time, it just turned four pm so I decided to call the insurance office for her. Then I inform the front (while on the phone with the insurance office) the insurance states I'm active but because I have not submitted any claims yet, that this may be the reason they may be having trouble.(The mint dentistry team did not see me as active) I then asked what information they would like to have sent over? I CALLED THE Insurance OFFICE FOR her AND Got the information they requested SENT in Fax & email (I did her job for her!) I then waited patiently again. The doctor(white woman, maroon scrubs) then comes in, does a half ass exam(two pokes on each side of my mandible to my premolars & molars), recommends a deep cleaning and said "but it's not gonna happen today I'm only here to do my exam so I can go home" I looked at the time and now it's 4:35 pm. I've been here for over an hour, just to be told rudely that I wasn't going to have anything done today. At this point I got off the seat and walked to the front desk to be rescheduled since it's clear they're wasting my time and they're incapable of performing their job. I ended up not rescheduling, feeling disrespected, and in disbelief. These people are insurance scam artists. They make you fill out a book, then they finally called me to the back for x-rays. The dentist comes in tells me everything looks but I use a deep cleaning. Now here's the scam I have PPO insurance which you are supposed to get a free cleaning and 1 free whitening for first timers. But I can't get the free cleaning cause I they recommend a deep cleaning which negates my free cleaning then I can't get the free whitening from them until I get the deep cleaning done which is 140$ on one side 180$ for the other side with a 50$ deductible on whichever side I choose. Loved my visit to mint dentistry! I recently moved and had to find a new dentist, so I was a bit skeptical about coming in. However, I'm really glad that I did. The staff was extremely welcoming, and helpful. The mint amenities were a plus, being able to watch Netflix while I waited to be seen was definitely relaxing. The Dentist was very knowledgeable, and answered any questions or concerns I had. She has very easy going, and made the entire experience painless. I had my teeth cleaned and the dental hygienist was really nice as well. This is my third time coming here. The first two times were for a cleaning which went well. This 3rd time, not so much. At my last cleaning, I was recommended two filing. Once they gave me the price, I knew something wasn't right so i asked them to submit prior approval to my insurance company so that the insurance would tell me my correct out of pocket. Here it is almost an hour after my appointment time. I've spent 20 min hold on the phone with insurance for them to scan the paperwork into my chart since they never received it. Once they got the form stating the amount, I am still waiting in the lobby for them to call the billing department. As someone with an MHA degree, who's worked in the medical field for 3 years, and a student doctor this is an all already horrible experience and after this visit I will not be returning and will not recommend anyone else here. Update: left without fillings. They quoted me $260 then my insurance faxed over pre-determinations, she had to talk to the billing department then came back that I now would owe $450 for 2 fillings. Then mentioned that my insurance is OON which is why it is higher. WHAT HEALTHCARE FACILITY TELLS YOU AT YOUR 3RD VISIT THAT THE INSURANCE IS OON. THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DISCUSSED DURING MY FIRST APPOINTMENT IN 2019 SO I COULD'VE FOUND A DIFFERENT OFFICE. read more

It's always someone new.. everybody have different opinions on your teeth.. one think this.. other think that.. a bunch of guessing from less experienced people. The time! How do you take 2hours on a REGULAR CLEANING... most of that time you are waiting around! Appointment for 8a.m, you get called back for 8:15, and sit in the chair for another 30mins b4 anybody see you, then you will wait another 30mins before they get started. People who are freshly out of school go here for a chance to freshly fuck people teeth up. I waited to do my review.... I have a comprehensive dental exam on 02/19 at this location. The dental office was clean and pleasant. It didn't feel like a dental office more like a spa or something. So that's a good thing for those who don't like going to dental office. The staff were very nice people. I needed a referral for the teeth extraction. I agreed to go to their dentist for the extraction. They told me they would complete the referral for me. Good! No problem there. One less thing I had to do. The offer free whitening kits for patients when a review is submitted (good or bad). I followed up on 2/23 to check on the status of the referral. The coordinator stated that I will receive a call by the end of the day on Friday. I was expecting a call because that was what the coordinator said. And of course, I didn't receive a phone call. Pretty disappointed. Followed up again on 2/26, I was asked AGAIN if I was seeking an oral surgeon or if I was going to go through Mint. I again stated that I wanted to go through Mint. The coordinator explained that they are waiting on the doctor. So I'll continue to wait and continue to be in pain. And the random phone calls from Dr. Harrison (auto recording) is pretty annoying. I'll just find my own oral surgeon at this point. And a new dental office. read more

I booked an appt for simple dental cleaning, I was told sure no problem we have self pay cash prices, then I was taken back and then xrays taken and exam - nothing explained by dentist, ok that's fine, then they tried to sell everything but what i asked for, manager comes in and just goes over plan that no one discussed with me, and says I would need multiple treatments for what manager said was needed. I guess the manager is the dentist. And come to find out, of course should've known, their discount plan for non insurance pts is a farce, they should say per region on the price list! Good one! My Recent Experience at Mint Dentistry I recently had an appointment at the Mint Dentistry on Shephard and 610. I've been getting treatment there for several years. But, on this particular day things went left. Due to a Doctor trying to sell me a treat plan instead of treating me as a patient. I had waited over an hour and a half for them to verify my new insurance which is probably why the Doctor wanted me to accept the treatment plan because he figured I could afford it and my insurance would cover it. I told him I wasn't interested in the treatment plan at the moment I only wanted a routine preventative maintenance cleaning. The Doctor then got up and whispered to the nurse, "Send him back to the front". I asked the nurse did he say he's not going to clean my teeth. She assured me that's not what he said, they just want someone to explain the treatment plan to you and how much it cost. So, the billing associate came in and presented the treatment plan, which I adamantly refused with her and the Doctor trying to pressure me into accepting. THAT'S WHEN THINGS TOOK A TURN, THE DOCTOR SAID WE ARE NOT GOING TO CLEAN YOUR TEETH. IT'S NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING. YOU CAN LEAVE. This scammy little place is ridiculous, they try to pull you in with shiny objects and items like smart tablets with earphones and sunglasses as if we are five-year-olds. I went in to get my teeth cleaned and examined per usual with any other dentist I have been to. To my surprise they took photos of my teeth and then suggested that I had a cavity! Well all the dentist did was show me my teeth on a TV screen and pointed to an area that was dark and said that is a cavity. She didn't even examine my mouth, she stood far back by the entrance to the examination room and pointed up with her hand as if that's a true examination *HUGE EYE ROLL from me* on a TV screen and told me it was a cavity. I explained that I never have had a cavity before and get my teeth checked and was told by a previous dentist it was a deep groove in my tooth after numerous years of having that same spot examined and multiple x-rays taken. She just looked at me and repeated that it is and if I want to get it fixed. I was confused and not really sure how to respond to shocking news. I was disgusted by this "dentist" (if you would call her that) body language and behavior at this office and truly would've appreciated if she could have sat down, put some freakin gloves on and looked in my mouth versus a blurry tv screen and truly examined my teeth at least. I clearly am informed of how my teeth are and explained that this has already been confirmed as a deep groove and not a cavity. A true dentist would have looked in my damn mouth, if there was so much confusion she should've put dye on my teeth, picked/ tap the section or something around the area to see if there was any pain or some sort of abnormal texture. (They were simply trying to get money and make a quick dollar from a patient). I asked to continue to clean my teeth and I would resolve this dilemma at another time. From that very annoying point I had the hygienist clean my mouth. While the hygienist was cleaning my mouth she stressed that she would give me free teeth whitening, and if I left a good review on YELP she would give me even more teeth whitening. She kept pressing that I had to leave the review on yelp while I was sitting in the chair at the office, how unprofessional and pushy for her to keep stressing that and then to offer me a measly incentive of extra teeth whitening as if my pretty straight white teeth would need any extra help from these folks. Once the hygienist was done cleaning my teeth she tells me my teeth are very healthy except for that "slight cavity" that she would have to give me a shot in my mouth for and numb the area to fix. The way that she said this to me was so skeptical and pitchy it rolled off her tongue so smooth like butter in a sales tone it was almost as if she does this a lot with patients and tries to comfort them by quickly telling them 'no worries it's just a quick fix I can just put a small needle in there to numb the area and "fix this cavity". Again- HUGE EYE ROLL *I am in Sales, I saw the signs everywhere with these women's dialogue and up-selling tone* I went to another dentist not at a MINT office, had my teeth thoroughly examined and was told this spot was not a cavity and that I just have deep grooves in my teeth again!! The more experienced dentist I had to get a second opinion from pressed very hard in that section and did extreme measures to see if there was any type of decay and to my complete and unsurprisingly mind I was reassured it was not a cavity.
