I came here urgently because I couldn't get dental insurance until open enrollment and was in severe pain from my wisdom teeth. Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed with my experience. I was told I'd receive an email referral for an oral surgeon but never did. When I called back to ask if the dentist could prescribe anything stronger--since I'm scheduled with another oral surgeon next week and was told I have an infection starting--I was told to just keep taking Tylenol and ibuprofen. I explained that I had already been taking 1,000mg of Tylenol three times daily before my visit and that it hasn't been helping. I came in hoping this would be a better temporary option than my usual dentist, but it wasn't. The $199 yearly insurance they offer was definitely not worth it for me. I also asked how much it would be without the insurance and to just pay for the one time service with x-rays & a cleaning and they quoted me over $700. I can't speak for all locations, but I would not recommend this one. read more

Doctor hardly explained his care directives. My cleaning was pathetic, I had to ask to go over places that didn't seem clean. It felt waay overpriced, no one asked me anything just moved quickly to check out and the bill was much too high very unexpected. I do not recommend anything about this place. Came here to get a dental cleaning and was told information I already knew.. I needed a tooth pulled. For context, my mouth is very small and this was my 2nd molar, wayyyy in the back of my mouth. I was numbed well and the younger doctor seemed to not know what she was doing. She had to prepare herself to pull my tooth out and "hype herself up" every time she tried. Well, this first doctor couldn't get it out, so a second doctor comes in and is much more agressive, pulling and tugging at my jaw. This process goes on for about 45 minutes. Yes, they were pulling at my tooth for 45 minutes straight with no end in sight. I ask for more numbing as it's starting to wear off and am given it with a scoff like I'm bothering them. For this entire time, I am shaking. This is extremely traumatic as there are multiple cracks and like I said, the dentist is practically pulling my face back and fourth. There was no checking up on me, there was no consolation, they just wanted to get it done. By the end, I was crying and shaking and they say "yeah this should've been taken to a surgical center". I love how I am told this AFTER going through this traumatic experience. I also receive a "pep talk" from the older dentist, the second one that came in. She explained how I will have "many extractions" in my life and basically how I need to toughen up. I told her I have already had numerous extractions and surgery including getting my wisdom teeth out that all required a surgical center to take out. I thought it would be fine but they later described that the tooth was impacted and the root was not fully straight. Like we couldn't figure this out BEFORE we started all this??? Unprofessional, inconsiderate, rude doctors that just seem money hungry and don't care AT ALL about their patients wellbeing. Edit- I was supposed to be prescribed antibiotics and steroids and pain management but I had my extraction done one Friday. They didn't send those meds to the pharmacy! So this is so far a very miserable weekend. read more

Stay away!!!! They send you a text message to come in 15 min before your appointment just to have you wait 45 min in the lobby. After they finally get you back in, it's another 30 min sitting on the chair. I walked out! Who does this? Unless you're a stay home mom and have 3 hours to spend in a dentist's chair, don't book!!! I had gone to Mint Denistry about 3 months ago for a deep cleaning. I was charged an out Tahiti's price even though I have insurance . They said they could only clean half my mouth and need to set an additional appt for the other half . V What they charged just for that was expensive. I will be checking with my insurance because it took longer for my paperwork than it did to clean my teeth. I told the hygienist wow that was fast she said yes I do it differently. When I left I couldn't even tell a difference in my mouth. It was like nothing happen ! Teeth was like they had never been cleaned. Oh I never ever saw a Dr..... I will be finding another dentist. Made an appointment for my daughter before the end of the year. I explained to the person making the appointment that we will be coming in for a check-up and cleaning. I also informed them that her insurance doesn't start until next year but I wanted to get in so she can get a basic cleaning since she's has never been there before. The person told me I can pay $150.00 for a plan and $15 per month. That was fine with me. She set the appointment for 4pm. We filled out all the necessary paperwork earlier that day so we will not not have to wait. We still arrived 10 mins prior to our appointment. We checked in and waited an additional 30 minutes before being called back to get x-rays. They placed us in a room to wait for the doctor, which was another 15 - 20 mins. He finally came in looked at the x-rays and said she had a very small cavity at the back and that he will get the hygienist to come in to do the cleaning. That took all of 5 minutes. We waited another 15 mins when their account admin came in to the tell us the charges and that they didn't have a hygienist to see my daughter but I can reschedule, which was the reason I took the day off. I still had to pay $150 without getting the service we came there for. They also stated our final bill will have to be $225 for a cleaning, which the insurance we purchased should've covered. Came here because they have the only wisdom tooth staff with Mint. They confirm the day before that he will be there. I sit in the lobby for a while today after checking in and then they tell me wisdom tooth person had an emergency. Ask why they didn't call me so I didn't waste time coming. They claim to have called and left a message but neither happened. They sent the text 2 hours before reminding me that I had the appointment. read more

They convinced me to do fillings on my right side (they wanted to do both sides but I said no and boy am I glad I did!). Immediately following the procedure my teeth started hurting and became sensitive. I couldn't have cold, hot or lukewarm anything without it being extremely painful. They 'fixed' it but I still have extreme pain one year later. I never had tooth pain before they worked on me. Do NOT go here! They invited me back to 'fix' it again but they wanted me to pay extra. To this day (it's been about a year) I can't eat anything on my right side and when I drink anything no matter the temperature it hurts really bad. Don't waste your money here. Very disappointed, I have insurance and my insurance pays for me to have ex rays and cleaning , they examed me and claimed I need a detailed cleaning that I had to pay for . I have never had to pay for teeth cleaning with my insurance and have never had to have a "deep clean " I had to walk out because I refuse to pay extra for something that my insurance pays for. I will be calling my insurance to cancel the claim since they refused to do a basic clean for me. All they did was X-rays they are just trying to get extra money ! What's the point of insurance?? Please assist me with my pain and not waste my time! This has to be the worst Dentist office have been to in my life. They have extremely poor time management. My appointment was for 8am. I wasn't called back to be evaluated until after 9am. Once I was roomed. I was asked was I there for a cleaning, when I made it crystal clear that I was having pain! I stated this over the phone, on the tablet and at the desk! They did one X-ray of the tooth and had the Dr. spend less than 2 minutes to have me wait another 20 minutes for a treatment plan to have a root canal! I got out of the dental chair and sat in the chair in the room. Finally I remove the drape collected my belongs and went to the front desk and asked to pay cash for the one tooth X-ray and the 1 and 1/2 hour inconvenience out of my day!!!!!! I tried to give this office a second chance. I came here a year ago and I waited over an hour and a half at that time as well!!!! I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! Or company! There's things I love about them and things I hate. I love the communication, the ease of providing your insurance info online, extremely low payment plans if you need them. On the other hand the wait time is horrible. Because I waited so long previously I showed up to my next appt 15min late but I noticed the waiting room was full, at least 10 ppl waiting. I was told by the receptionist there was a slight wait but "not long at all". So I sat and sat and sat. An hour later, I'm inching closer then I noticed someone who had an appt at 2pm get called before me (I had an appt at 1) So not only am I waiting but people with appointments after me get seem before me even though they were late. After waiting way too long I finally just left. I hope my experiences are unique but just beware, you may be waiting an EXTREMELY long time. Great experience! Dr Hardaway is the best dentist I've ever had! She is so kind and has great attention to detail. I only make appointments when she is available. Stormy did an awesome job with my X-rays and making me comfortable. She was super nice and fun to talk to. Sarah did an amazing job cleaning my teeth. The Mint team squeezed me and two of my daughter's into their schedule on a day when they had no appointments and were having a lunch and learn. I REEEAALLYYY appreciate their flexibility despite the short notice. It helped to save my PTO days doing all of our appointments in one day. They even gave me an extra sandwich from their lunch and learn so I could comfortably keep my appointment time. And they played all my hits on Pandora music. The cost was so discounted that I almost felt guilty for paying not paying more. The Smile More Club is everything!!! Dr. Smith and her team were patient with us even though we were all very nervous. I couldn't believe my younger daughter didn't cry or refuse to cooperate. The staff was so patient and pleasant. They continued to render friendly service to me even while I was screaming profanities during the local anaesthetic‍. I don't respond well to pain and I normally have a terrible experience. Instead of kicking me out of the office for scaring the other patients they helped me be brave and took great care of my teeth. It's been more than 10 plus years since I've been to the dentist so all this stuff is brand new to me. So far I've had all kinds of x rays on my teeth and all these x Ray tools jammed in my mouth it was a bit uncomfortable but as long as my insurance covers all this probing I'm good. Mint Dentistry was good to me when I first used their services. I had a couple teeth cleanings and four teeth extracted for my braces. I didn't pay a thing. The last two times I've been there I have been very angry with their service. June 2016 I found out I was pregnant and already had a teeth cleaning scheduled with them. Since I hadn't gotten to see my OBGYN, they didn't do X-rays and everything was fine. I went back in December 2016. I waited about 30 minutes after my appointment to be seen. Once they called me in, I was told unless they could get approval from my OBGYN to do X-rays, they would not be able to do my teeth cleaning. I was furious. It was a couple weeks before Christmas, I was super short on time, and had lots of doctors appointments since I was about a month out from my due date. Why didn't anyone tell me this ahead of time when I scheduled my appointment or when they had me waiting in their lobby for 30 minutes? I left without having my teeth cleaned. Fast forward to today. I work full time. Today is my day off so I scheduled an appointment about two weeks ago. I knew I had to bring my one year old son so I schedule my appointment at 9 am when I know he'll be fine to sit in his stroller for the time I'm there. I arrived at least five minutes before my appointment, and by 9:05 am I was done with all the forms and disclosures. I sat in their lobby until 9:45 am when one of the receptionists finally calls mine and another patient's name and says they "have a bit of a wait." Is she serious?! Why make appointments if you can't keep them? I asked her to cancel my appointment and when she asked if I wanted to reschedule I told her no. I will NEVER do business with Mint again. I only gave them another chance because they've been good to me before and I figured my son could watch Netflix while I was getting my teeth cleaned. I went in hating going to the dentist and after going here I hated dentist even more. My tooth pain had gotten to the level that it hurt to do anything. I went in and they numbed me up, but it wore off as they were drilling. They numbed me again and it was not totally numb again. So, they had to it again. Then after they finished everything up said that I might possibly have to get a root canal after I just had all of this done. The worst part is that my mouth hurt so bad for about 4 mouths I could not even tell you if the tooth was truly fixed or not. Of course it was not and I sent in a complaint and nothing was done. Exceptional service. I've had 4 teeth extracted and 11 cavities filled - never have I had a rude service. Water, an iPad, and headphones was always offered to my boyfriend when he came along with me. I was always asked if I'd like to listen to music or if there was any tv shows/ movies I'd like to watch on Netflix. My hygienists would even participate into what I am watching and made comments whether they knew it or not, and joined me, as though we were friends. I think its cute. Never was my service rushed. The only negative experience I had however, was once when my wait was longer than normal. However, the front lady explained to patients that it was due to an unexpected shortage of doctors. Some impatient (or even greedy) patients would conplain and asked for a "life time of teeth whitening." Come on people, be more understanding. The situation can't be helped. I love Mint Dentistry, and will continuously return for any teeth whitening services. It's pretty pricey though, but I rather not be in pain ( which I've never been, you know, before the the numbing meds fade that is ). read more

My daughter and I had a routine cleaning today. Neither one of us had a thorough cleaning. When I mentioned to the hygienist that her method was unusual she stated that she along with others clean differently. I don't care about the method as long as ultimately my teeth are clean. I flossed when I got home and sure enough there was food still there. My daughter still appears to have build-up on her teeth as well. Dr. O seemed to be in a hurry and not very detailed when examining my teeth. I had to point out obvious things wrong with my teeth. When she's the doctor/professional and should be pointing those things out to me. I'm not sure if it was because we were the last patients of the day or if it's the new staff. Pricing....RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE!!! My daughter has had two dentists advise her that her teeth are great, no braces needed. Today however, Dr. O days she needs braces due to her back teeth being "a bit crooked"????? I'm assuming the other reviews are fluffed to obtain the additional free whitening gel (all patients know exactly what I'm referring to). This place don't have knowledge about dental problem. I have one of freezing teeth problem and visit to this place. . What they did was drilled my teeth and refill for $300. I kept telling doctor that i did have same problem before and other dental office used resin to bottom of my teeth. They keep guessing and drilled top center and refill. One week after i keep having same freezing problem so i visit again. Then they told me i need crown which will cost $3800 -300 prior paid = $3500 for one crown and root canal. . I visit to other dental office and other dentist told me i do not need root canal. Nor crown for my freezing problem. Other dentist used resin to bottom of my teeth which I paid $150 and I do not have any more problem. Which took about 10 mins service. He used metal stick to hit my teeth and asking me if that hurt. I said no. Then saying my root is fine. Dont wasting time and money here. They are NOT professional dentist. read more

Not the level of care that I'm used to. They try to hurry so much that they don't really get much done. I saw 4-5 people in a single visit. I was told I needed a filling on a molar that I have never had a problem with, they are rushing so much it makes the issue sound urgent. They charge WAY more than insurance shows as average cost for the area. The hygienist was much rougher on my gums than I'm used to, again because of how quickly they try to work. She also didn't polish as much as they did at my old dentist. Overall a very expensive, very disappointing experience. I will be looking for something else in 6mos for my next cleaning since I can't travel to New Mexico just for a cleaning. read more
