We had come to the wisdom teeth guys, because our normal dentist doesn't do Wisdom Teeth removal in their office and this was where they had recommended for us to go based on our insurance. When getting set up to see them, I recommend being able to fill out forms immediately after getting off the phone with them. They wanted certain things filled out in a certain amount of time or else you risk your appointment being dropped. This caused an issue for us because they called to say insurance had approved the procedure and were on the phone scheduling the appointment, but in the next sentence they said they would be sending me an email with a form that if I didn't fill out within an hour our appointment would be dropped and I would have to call back to reschedule it. Why does the from need to be filled out within an hour in order to keep the appointment? They made a big deal out of extending their timer on the forms an extra 30 mins-hour because I was about to walk into an hour long appointment and had taken the call because the caller ID had come up as them vs just the call center number. I can see possibly requesting a form being filled out within 24 hours, but one hour is unreasonable as they could call to try to schedule you when you are at work. The next I guess issue was that the number to contact them is a call center, so if you had a issue like we did with our initial consult where my GPS directed me to a restaurant that was pretty much across the HWY from where they actually are ... you have to almost rely on luck for landing on a call center rep that knows to tell you to put in this orthodontics office in your GPS vs their address. When we got to the appointment I let them know, and I feel like they may have figured out make the fix, but its hard to gauge because we knew where we were going when we went back. The actual removal of wisdom teeth went well, and you will get flooded with a phone call, a number of texts, and email to give them a review. But only with the single phone call did they inquire about how my kid was doing. As well, if we had a question to ask we always got the call center never any contact with the actual office. So, if you actually possibly want more personalized after care you may have to reach out to your actual dentist or go to urgent care. So, yes they did what they needed to do and in a timely manor, and when dealing with you face to face are nice. Though they also give me the feeling that they are a wisdom teeth removal revolving door or mill. That once you your in theory one time transaction is done, they are like NEXT, not really interested in any real follow up. So I'm luckily that we didn't have any major issues that needed in person help that couldn't be resolved with a check in over the phone. Though, If my youngest needs his out down the line I'd want to see what other options our insurance has to make sure we have a better chance of follow up options if we would be in need for after care help for him. read more

Last edit: I called and asked if there was anything they could prescribe for the pain or tell me what to do to fix the pain. I also asked if they did not believe me, and why I was rushed through surgery. Candace said the only thing they could do for me is an X-Ray. They do not care that I can no longer drive through the general Arlington neighborhood without urinating on myself. She would not explain why I was lied to and told multiple things about how the "sedation" would make me feel. I told her that I was awake but paralyzed during the entire surgery, and she told me I only felt pressure, not pain. I felt every second of him cutting my tooth into pieces and every time he bumped the wound, the pain screamed. I felt my gums being cut into pieces. It felt like fire in my mouth. I felt EVERYTHING. These people truly, sincerely, ruined my life with their lack of care. I have nightmares of Harley's face every night. I hear her voice sometimes and I have never heard voices or had auditory hallucinations before. I used to be somebody with a life plan and ambition and ability and I have been completely robbed. After visiting here I don't feel like a person but just Harley's victim. I didn't want to use that wording because I believe she would find great amusement and pleasure in that statement, but I want to get my point across that her manner of care has really set my life on an alternate dark path and I am sure I will not be her only victim. It has been two months since my surgery and the pain has not improved since day 1. My days look like going from the bed with an ice pack to the shower with a hot compress. This giant fire on the side of my face is a constant daily companion. The pain started when I became not-paralyzed from surgery and it never stopped. I am in so much pain on a daily basis and it makes the cracked tooth I used to have feel like a much better option. There is awful burning deep in my gums and jaw that just never ever stopped. My partner has been experiencing severe tooth pain for quite some time. As a redhead, he has a way higher tolerance, essentially immune, to anesthesia and any type of numbing. (It's real, look it up) Due to this, all of his past experiences at the dentist have been extremely uncomfortable and traumatic. He had a crack in one of his teeth and we had been denied by 6 other offices. When I got recommended to this place, it looked perfect. I made sure to mention his past experiences in FULL detail and really stress how serious the situation was and they reassured me that they had dealt with this situation before and they knew what they were doing. I also made sure to mention that my partner had requested that all medical questions/conversations be handled through me, and that none of the medical terms be mentioned to him. I looked back at my call history, I have had 18 phone calls with them since mid June, and in every single one I repeated myself and mentioned his experiences to ensure that he would not have that experience again. We got to the appointment and the front desk was already acting slightly rude when I asked them about how this was going to all play out. The second we got in the treatment room, a woman named Harley came in and she seemed extremely annoyed. She asked a couple questions and I kept answering for my partner as we had previously mentioned to them not to talk to him about it. Harley kept deliberately asking HIM the questions, despite our request. She kept being really blunt and asking him with big sarcastic eyes if he was going to be able to do an IV. He asked her to be nicer to him as he has PTSD, and she responded with those same eyes "OH I KNOW." I was about to take her out into the hall to request somebody else to help him, but then the anesthesiologist, Michael, came in. He walked in with an OPEN tray of needles, and as soon as he realised the situation, he covered them and used a softer tone with my partner. He got down to his level, and tried to comfort him. It seems like everything that I had mentioned on the phone and in person was just not communicated whatsoever to anybody, and even then, they were rude about it too! (They told me I could stay in the room on the phone as well, but when I got there they said that I had to leave during the procedure.) My partner had expressed before that when he had his wisdom teeth taken out, he could still feel and hear everything but couldn't move or scream. The same thing happened here. He felt paralyzed, but he could still HEAR and FEEL everything. They called me back when they woke him up and he IMMEDIATELY was able to tell us that they took his tooth out in pieces and remembered/felt everything. The doctor looked shocked that he knew that. He was able to stand up and walk almost the second after they administered the medication to "wake him up," which is not normal and further proves my previous statement. Afterward, he was telling me about things that were said during the procedure. He mentioned that Harley was LAUGHING and making JOKES about how scared he would be if he was able to see the size of the needle they were using, along with other unprofessional and rude remarks. I called them a couple hours after the appointment and asked to speak to a manager. Candace answered and tried to invalidate a lot of what happened, but after I kept pushing, she said that this was not acceptable and that they would talk to Harley and the crew. I requested from them specifically to send me an email after speaking with them so that we could have some confirmation and closure, and I have yet to receive this email a month later. They no longer answer our calls. I fear what we will do in the future for the rest of his teeth after this visit. We went here for help and they didn't take us seriously. My partner was left upset, in pain, and even more traumatized than before. If you or someone you are taking here has PTSD or even just dental anxiety, DO NOT DO IT. It is not worth the trauma that Harley and them will inflict on you. read more

Hello I'm 68 years old and I've had 28 teeth pulled in my lifetime LOL and the wisdom teeth guys made my wisdom tooth almost pleasurable . I think from the time they started I don't think it took more than 90 seconds to have the tooth removed and I was on my way totally pain-free these guys are amazing read more

I wish I could give this place a good review. It's a lovely office (Arlington, TX), the staff was kind and courteous, and the process was quick. However, as soon as you leave, they're done with you. I specifically told Dr. Patel that my daughter would be nauseous post surgery and asked him to make sure she was prescribed Zofran ( a routine anti-nausea med). This wasn't a special request. Their "what to expect after surgery" paperwork lists this as one of the medications that patients routinely receive. I go to pick up her prescriptions, and guess what. NO anti nausea meds. As expected, my daughter became violently ill post surgery... just like I told the doctor. I call the office and was sent directly to an automated voicemail system promising a call back within 15-20 minutes. It's been an hour. No response. I'm not medical professional, but I don't think violent vomiting is good for brand new sutures in the mouth. They operate like an assembly line. Sorry, but I just can't recommend folks with no regard for their patient's aftercare. We went to the Irving location. The Wisdom Teeth Guys is office out of Allheart Dental Implants and Orthodontics. The customer service over the phone was great, however no one told me this office was Allheart Dental. When we arrived there was no where to sit. My son and I were both having anxiety because it's not very comforting before an oral surgery. We arrived early and they did xrays. 10 mins passed the appointment time we are still in waiting room. The waiting room is dirty. I do have high standards for medical and dental offices. There are too many sickness going around for a dental office. THIS IS NOT THE WORST PART! My son ended up having 3 dry sockets. I brought him back to the Wisdom Teeth Guys. This time the actual oral surgeon saw my son. He examined him, called me and said, he didn't have dry sockets and if he did he wouldn't treat them. That's not generally what the Oral Surgeons do these days is what he told me. I believed him against my own guy. This was Wednesday, one week after surgery. I went against my gut to get 2nd medical opinion. Friday my son's pain was getting worse and worse. He was swollen and when I looked in his mouth I could see the dry sockets. At this time I had to trust my guy. I called our Dentist and he said, this is not right get a medical 2nd opinion from an oral surgeon ASAP. We were headed out of town, so there was no one who could see my son, but I did get 2 appointments for following week. I went to an oral surgeon with my son Monday, he was shocked they didn't treat my son for dry sockets and they let him suffer. Tuesday we went to another oral surgeon and they said the same thing. They asked why I chose Wisdom Teeth Guys, I said I was trying to save money, they asked what was the cost, I told them and they said you really didn't save money after 2 separate medical opinions. Yup that's right. I didn't save money and I had to watch my son suffer for 2 weeks plus. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE. read more

The Wisdom Teeth guys are efficient in setting up consultations and appointments to get you taken care of. The staff was very friendly and professional. I did not give five stars because they are misleading people into thinking they have to be sedated to have an extraction. When I went to my consultation, I was told that "we sedate all of our patients." This, in my opinion, is unethical because patients are not being fully informed that local anesthetic is available. This seems to me that people are being tricked into paying a cost for sedation thus generating more insurance funds for the practice. I literally had to advocate for myself the day of my extraction to not be sedated. Without the sedation, my cost decreased significantly. Again I understand everyone's case is different but the sedation is forced on you if you do not speak up. The dentist was very professional. He assessed my ex ray and did state that using local anesthetic would be fine. The entire procedure took less than 15 minutes and I was on my way. Overall great experience but they are making people believe that they have to receive sedation. read more

Awesome service!!! had 3 wisdom teeth removed yesterday and a surgical debridement of a root tip.. It only cost like 300.00 + dollars when dr michael sheppard an oral surgeon attempted to charge me 530.00+ dollars just for the debridement -get out of here ‍!!! All of the staff were super friendly and professional and I'm not in any pain... this was a great experience but glad it's over.. lol. read more
