I'd become one of those cranky skeptical people when it came to dentists because my last few, um, didn't go so well. But, Dr. Britton and his staff have restored my faith in humanity, or at least in dentistry. I found him through my insurance company provider list, while looking specifically for sole practitioners (NO CORPORATE CONGLOMERATES!) that were nearby who had been practicing for a reasonable amount of time and who have a degree from the 1st world. (I don't care where my docs are from, I only care where they went to school.) Because I have phone anxiety calling businesses I was happy to see they have a website with an appointment form. I filled it out. Amy at the front desk called me back pretty quickly and boy, is she nice and friendly! She was very accommodating and made an appointment for me the very next morning. She's just as nice in person, folks. Brynne was my hygienist and she too is a very nice lady, recently moved here from Washington State. She told me how when she first moved here she was temping and planned on continuing to temp because she only wanted to work three days a week, but she loved Dr. Britton and his staff so much she came on full time, and assured me I had made a wise choice. They seem to have very modern equipment and digital x-rays that they can take from your chair, which is nice. Dr. Britton himself is very pleasant and personable, he introduced himself as "the guy who works in the back", haha. He explained what was going on with my teeth very clearly and presented options and was obviously very sensitive to the fact that it was going to cost a lot of money to fix the massive mess that my mouth had become. I know his assessment was accurate as it matched what I was told by my last dentist, and he showed me exactly where the problem spots were on my x-rays. This morning I started getting it all fixed. He had feared I might need a root canal in one tooth, but decided after he dug out the decay that since we hadn't reached the nerve yet, we might be able to avoid it which would save me money and pain. So, he did a deep filling instead. We'll see how that goes. What really impressed me about the experience was that it was actually pretty pain-free. He explained what he was doing every step of the way and they pre-swabbed the gum with a topical before giving me the novocaine so I didn't feel the shot. I didn't feel pain during the procedure at all. I was warned I'd be sore afterwards and told to take advil, which I did, and which seems to be working. I still have several more teeth to get fixed, he recommended doing it in steps so that I wouldn't have to sit with my mouth open all day. I think that was a good call. All in all, I'm very happy with him and his staff. They work with CareCredit and Wells Fargo for financing if you don't have insurance or have insurance like mine that barely scrapes the surface of the bills. And, with how easy it was to get an appointment and completely hassle-free and more importantly pain-free, I'd say you can't go wrong coming here. (of course, I can't guarantee your visit will be pain free as your teeth may vary). read more

Dr. Britton's office is great. My 17 year old son just had his check up and he actually looks forward to going. No cavities! My whole family sees Dr Britton from my grandmother to my kids. We have had the whole shebang done at one time or another - teeth replaced, caps, fillings, mouth guards, etc. They always take excellent care of us and even call afterwards to check up on us. Let's be honest, nobody likes going to the dentist. For me, growing up my family only went to dentists when needed. The office was clean and the staff seemed very knowledgable, but if you are going there to do extensive work like a root canal you are better off going to a endodontic specialist as he does not perform them and will refer you there. I feel as though I would have saved money and time going to a specialist for my tooth problem, as opposed to forking out twice the price in consultations and different set of X-rays. Albeit, I suppose he would be a great dentist if you had a history with him. However, if you are a first time patient and you know you need some extensive work I would verify that a dentist you choose will perform root canals, implants and all other dental duties instead of outsourcing them to others. My elderly mother wears dentures and has had the same ones for an amazing number of years. She thought her lower plate was about to break. She hasn't been to the dentist in forever, so we needed to find one for her. I used my Nextdoor app and found Dr Britton. I called, explained the situation and made an appointment. The office was very clean and the staff were friendly and professional. However I am rating one star because I feel that unnecessary procedures were recommended in order to try to make money off of me. Let me start by saying that before moving to the area I went to the same dentist for 7 years, and have good oral health. I have one crown and a few fillings. I came here because of the positive reviews. My teeth are completely straight however I was told I would need Invisalign to correct a tilted molar. I was also told I had to replace a crown but upon further questioning it turns out there's nothing wrong with the crown they just wanted to give me a better one. Of course because there's nothing wrong it would not be covered by insurance. So hundreds of dollars of out-of-pocket cost for what purpose? Then the real red flag went up when they asked how long ago was the filling in my back molar. When I said it was done when I was a teenager they told me it was old and needed to be replaced. The funny thing is I just had the silver fillings replaced with the white ones less than two years prior. They then said there was a cavity between two of my back teeth and pointed to the X-ray. When I said that I didn't see any density change on the X-ray they got all flustered and said they didn't know that I knew how to read x-rays. It has been a year since my visit here and I have gone for a cleaning at a different dentist twice now. He did note that the crown I had was not the best quality. But other than that he has not recommended any of the work that was recommended here. In a year's time that nonexistent cavity and that bad filling should definitely have been a problem by now. This is probably a great dentist to go to if you need cosmetic work but if you only need basic cleanings and care, steer clear, they will invent ways to make money off you with procedures you don't need. read more
