I asked why it was more and he said "due to inflation". With that being said; this time around I was sure to be more specifics. Giving details, inspirational pictures and even photos from HIS website. Long story short, after surgery I can already tell something was wrong. They were completely uneven. One of my pocket is higher than the other side which causes them to be lopsided. Almost worse than pre-op. I didnt want to raise concern until after my healing. As weeks pass, I can see it was getting more and more uneven. I addressed it to Dr Mele and he agreed that the pocket is uneven. One side is completely different result from the other. ANOTHER revision is needed to fix his work. I then received a quote that was almost the same cost but instead I was gaslight claiming he is giving me a $2k discount from a marked up revision quote. Another $7 for a revision to fix his revision. I asked for details of what he previously did on the revision because I cannot understand why I would be charge for another pocket revision when he just performed a revision last month! They have not responded to my email along with refusing to send me pre/post op pictures from the last surgery. Dr Mele does not care about his work, results or what the patient is going through. He will act like he cares during consultation and will talk your ears off about non related surgery topics. So keep in mind that if you need a revision, even if he is responsible for it, you will be charged every single time. If not more. He will not have compassion for what his patients go through. Imagine paying over $10k for a revision and a month later you are hit with another $7 to fix the revision.

From consultation to post-op care, I had zero complaints. Fast forward 18 years - my results were still amazing with no issues at all. I simply decided I wanted to switch from saline to silicone. I was sad to hear Dr. Prescott had retired, so I consulted with two other surgeons - one of whom came highly recommended in Folsom. Unfortunately, I didn't feel confident moving forward. Both told me they would need to create a new incision under my breast for the implant exchange. I asked why we couldn't go through my original incision (which is barely visible along my lower areola line), and they said reopening it wasn't a good idea and wasn't even an option. When I met Dr. Eberlin, everything changed. I was immediately relieved when I asked where the new incision would need to be, and without hesitation he said we could use my existing incision. He explained that I had healed beautifully and that areolar incisions are known to heal very well and offer natural camouflage compared to the 3-4 inch incisions that some surgeons still make under the breast. He also uses the Keller Funnel technique, something many top surgeons use - which allows for a "no-touch" implant placement. This reduces the risk of bacterial contamination and, in my case, allowed him to go through my original incision. That was incredibly important to me. If you're considering this procedure, I would highly recommend watching videos on how the Keller Funnel works. Unless you are choosing extremely large implants, in my opinion it's a much better approach than creating a larger incision under the breast. From the moment I left my consultation, I knew I would proceed with him. I never felt pressured or rushed. It felt like a thoughtful, genuine conversation. He gave his professional opinion when I asked, but ultimately empowered me to decide on the size and approach that felt right for me. On surgery day, he came in to speak with me beforehand and made sure I felt completely comfortable. Again, no rushing - just calm, confident care.
