Problematic test results need to be delivered. If you need something time sensitive, such as a pre authorization for testing, etc, that won't happen in a timely manner. An appeal to insurance for medication, etc. The doctor's assistant will clearly tell you she's the only one doing pre authorizations, as a reason to take multiple weeks to even fill out the forms. If the doctor could get a whole new support staff it would be entirely different.

He did not try to look at me for 10 minutes and rush me out the door like all my doctors have done. I haven't had any medical insurance for a long time and at 50 years old and somehealth issues I'm way overdue for a checkup. He saw me late (a 6 p.m. appointment). I was his last patient of the day and he did not rush anything. I have another appointment at this clinic in three weeks unfortunately he will not be there but I have nothing but great things to say of him. Thanks Doc !!!

was a patient of dr reisser for at least 20 years. totally loved him. and as a nurse and former…read moreemployee at the local hospital..ages and ages ago... i can tell you..many of my co workers spoke very highly of him and went to him. cant tell you the number of folks i knew/know when they asked me for a good doc, i told them about doc reisser. he spent tremendous amount of time listening to me. he wrote everything down so i wouldnt forget. didnt rush me out the door.. the one beef.. ok a big big beef i have.. is that he went to this VIP thing. guess it is call concierge doctor or something. you gotta pay like 1500 bucks a year to be able to see him. he was getting so super busy because everyone knew he was great. so he signed up for this thing to make things easier. man big big big bummer. i had to go to a new doc and i am not happy. nowhere near the quality i had before. if you can afford it, and live in TO area.. i highly highly reccommend doc reisser. he is the very best. if i win the lottery... i am soooo going back to him...

We came in before the morning shift change. The staff was prompt, the noise level of the night and day shifts were acceptable, the bedside manners of everyone and I literally mean everyone was excellent. As a healthcare worker myself, you can't help but notice the small details and compare/contrast with your own experiences. I may be a touch biased towards teaching hospitals, having started my career in an inpatient rehab hospital as well. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses that helped us! Not only was she transparent about billing information and expectations, but she was also personable and there were organic moments where we couldn't help but laugh together despite the event itself being stressful. Just porior to signing her out, doctor's were still doing only what was either medical experiments…read moreor unsurance fraud or both, i discovred they dosed her with a 3 day dose of scopolamine, a drug that "Causes" amnesia and at 72 hours more or less is well known to cause particularly in the ekderly, acute halucination and other mental disorientation, they gave her scopolamine and a highly dangerous so called anti depressant, My mother would NEVER agree to taking either of these drugs, ever. Scopolamine only for speciffic limited incident where she has expressly discussed it with the administering anesthesiologist for planed surgery, is the only circumstances when she would allow scopolamine. (Not a patch for 72 hours without her knowledge) The scopolamine coincided with hospital staff suspiciously prempting discussions of my mothers mental decline as if i whould now recognize it,,,wow these people are scum. And the doctor that readily did call to discuss my mom was the Hospice Dr they added to her case. My family would NEVER HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH HOSPICE AT ALL, i told them this when she was in ICU and at previous hospital visit, I diplomatically told! Hat doctor the same. I said to him, its peculiar nobody has assesed and discussed my mothers condition at all or called me with any asessment diagnosis,,yet every day they gave her zero physical therapy, Administred one unauthorized videofluroscopy to watch her swallow which was equal to 155 chest xrays, as well as other xrays and scan events. All against her will even after ICU and life threatening excuse could posibly overide personal rights and freedom. Its her body, no means no (this is america) If i suspected medical assault and abuse and just wanted to prevent it,, id say my suspicion was not unfounded after reviewing only briefly the facts in her so called treatment. I accidentally went to the Calabasas office first because that's where my initial appointment was with this doctor but realized once I got there that I was supposed to be in Thousand Oaks! I called in and the staff were so helpful and still got me in even though I ended up being a little late. Staff were all so great, and Dr Natour is always so wonderful. It was a little cold in there so bring a coat ;) Parking is so easy, and free- not all UCLA Healths have free parking so always grateful for that.

My initial experience with Sam, the nurse practitioner, and the physician assistant was very pleasant. They were warm, professional, and made me feel optimistic that I had found a family practice where I could establish long-term care. Unfortunately, my experience changed after my laboratory results became available. A receptionist named Britney called me and immediately began discussing my results without first asking whether I was in a private place or prepared to receive medical information. I was at work and had to interrupt her and ask her to wait while I moved somewhere private. I had assumed she was calling only to schedule a follow-up appointment. I believe staff members discussing medical information should always confirm that the patient is able to speak privately before sharing results. When I returned for my follow-up appointment, there also appeared to be some confusion at the front desk. Although I had confirmed my appointment the previous day, the doctor stated that he had not known I was coming and had taken another patient before me. He apologized, but the delay made me late for work. Once I was called back, the process felt rushed. I was quickly directed onto the scale and then placed in a room with a medical student. I was not asked whether I was comfortable having a student participate in my appointment. The student repeatedly described my hormonal status in a way that did not match what I had previously been told, and our discussion about vitamin D supplementation felt dismissive rather than collaborative. I was also uncomfortable with the student shifting and rocking from side to side in my peripheral vision while the doctor discussed some concerning health information. That made an already stressful conversation more difficult. Later, when the doctor returned and spoke with me privately, the interaction was much more comfortable. He was pleasant, made eye contact, explained things more clearly, and ultimately did a good job addressing my concerns. I wish the receptionist had demonstrated a better understanding of patient privacy, that I had been asked for consent before a medical student joined the appointment, and that the visit had not felt so rushed. Staffing problems, scheduling confusion, and the absence of a manager may explain why the office was having a difficult day, but patients should not have to absorb the consequences. Overall, the doctor handled the appointment well toward the end, and my first visit with the other clinical staff had been positive. I spent considerable time researching family-practice physicians because I hoped to establish ongoing care here. For that reason, I am willing to give the doctor and the office another chance before deciding whether this practice is the right fit for me.
