Dr Koe is a wonderful doctor. He meets all of my medical needs. I have been seeing him for years. He takes care of all of my needs, and he is always right on the nose if I have any ailment , sickness and right on with my medication's as needed. Although, when it comes to the front desk, she is by far the worst front receptionist I have ever experienced. In the process of referring yet another friend to this absolutely outstanding physician I came upon some of the referrals in this yelp review section. It really got me so I felt compelled to leave my own review. I started seeing Dr. Koe when I was 32 years old (almost 30 years ago!!), and he did a thorough examination on me and based upon some wonky blood work, he "hound-dog, deep dived" into diagnosing me and got me referred out to a specialist to manage a severely, possibly fatal, disease that I had no knowledge that I had. I am disease free because of this man. Yes he referred me out. He is an INTERNIST, a family doctor. Not a specialist. If you need specialty care, he triages and sends you to the appropriate specialist. In order to do that, he has to share information with your health plan, or the other specialist. One of the referrals i read talks about him sharing information with insurance companies. Clearly they know NOTHING about how physicians contract with health plans, in order to get paid for services, and the information they are required by law to produce. It is mandatory, not subjective per patient whim. If you use your insurance to pay for services, doctors have a legal obligation to share that information with the healthplan. Expect that. Blaming Dr. Koe for industry standards that all physicians must comply with, is extremely naive and uninformed. My entire family sees doctor Koe. My husband, my daughters since they were little. They are now married, and they have even brought their spouses to him. I refer patients to him. My ex-husband LOL. Last year, I was diagnosed with what i thought was a benign tumor on my thyroid. I poo-pooed it, but at Dr. Koe's urging, follow up, and prompt referral to both an ENT and the specialized screening group, i was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer. Again, Dr. Koe saved my life. I had my thyroid removed and was lucky enough that it was caught early. Again, due to the wonderful caring and management of my health by Dr. Koe. Dr. Koe is a very kind, wonderful, laid back person, without a mean bone in his body, who would never discriminate against anyone. If for some reason he suspects you have not been forthcoming with him, or he believes you are fibbing or hiding something, he will definitely give you some straight talk and maybe he isn't as laid back as someone would like to believe. This is a smallish office, with a real family vibe. It is personalized care, and time spent with the patient. If you are looking for a family doctor who will manage your level one care, and triage to specialists, and be your ground zero care stop, this is your doctor. He is a genuinely caring person, who also happens to be a super great doctor. read more

Dr. Koe has been our family Doctor for more than 20 years. I and my family have received excellent care from Dr. Koe. I have referred many friends to him who have also felt the same. Dr. Koe and his staff try hard to give you the attention you need and answer any questions you may have in a timely manner. Reina is awesome and an excellent nurse. The health issues we had were not easy ones, yet he has walked with us through different illnesses and helped us get to the other side to wellness. We highly recommend Dr. Koe. I have been going to Dr. Koe as my PCP for over 10 years. He's been nothing but great to me. He is very easy to talk to and really listens to his patients. Dr. Koe's staff are just as friendly making it a pleasant experience each time. I never have an issue with getting an appointment even if it's last minute. I have gone to Dr Koe for 3 years and finally gave up. He is very personable and laid back but this is not enough. I hate to call a doctor lazy but I have no other way to describe. I am very healthy but when I do have to see Dr Koe I feel I have to be so proactive, I have to tell him what to do. I strained my leg at the gym. He gave me a sample of Lyrica which is def not for a strain. I asked for an anti-inflammatory and a referral for PT and problem solved. My annual lasted exactly 5 minutes with all my clothes on. No ekg though I sent him the results of an ekg taken during a study that showed irregularities. Put in my file. Thanks His staff is great and referrals fast which is why I hung on as long as I did. I used to see Dr. Koe, but when I was experiencing prolonged severe pain he really dragged his feet in ordering appropriate tests. When I told him I thought I needed an MRI of my neck (turned out I was right, as I had injured a disc) he laughed at me. After six weeks of pain, I don't think laughing in my face was appropriate. read more

Dr. Koe has been my PCP for quite a few years now and I think he is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. The office staff are so friendly and will fit you in whenever they can. You don't get the 'sorry, we don't have an appointment for two weeks' message ever - sometimes they have even fitted me in on the same day for an appointment. I love this office and will hopefully never have to change doctors! Dr. Koe is very patient and he will listen and respond to any questions you have - he is not the clock watching type. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Koe for 20+ years now. He and his staff are great. They can usually fit you in same day if you're really sick. Never any attitude, always caring and attentive. He is our family doctor and I had so much respect for him until he prescribed my mom with Cipro medication for urinal infection. Cipro almost kill my mom last week and now my mom is almost having stroke. She is always dizzy for 3 days straight even after she stopped taking Cipro. Steven Koe discriminates against his patients. My wife went in to see Dr. Koe as a follow up from the ER. Dr. Koe prescribed her antibiotics and pain meds for her bronchitis and other issues causing her pain. After not seeing Dr. Koe for over a year and mentioning that i have severe bronchitis, pain as well as me vomiting from the cough medicine the ER prescribed me, he simply only prescribes me a z pack. Nothing to help with the pain of having bronchitis or my GI issues that were causing severe pain. After my wife called back infuriated that he discriminated against me Dr. Koe mentioned to me and my wife that I have a drug problem and that I failed to follow up with the GI Dr. which him and I both know is not true as he did recieve my endoscopy results. It baffled me and upset me beyond high hell that he would call me a drug addict as I work for the DoD and hold a top secret clearance. If you have breast and are of the female gender you have no problem getting the appropriate care you need. If not go find another physician to aid to the care you need. read more

I have been seeing Dr Koe for a number of years & he is always gracious and kind, he takes the time to listen to my issues & strives to treat my symptoms & to get them resolved or direct me to the right Specialists to get them resolved, I have NEVER been disappointed with my Doctor & his Staff which as of right now are his Nurses Rayna & Cris, with Rayna also filling in as his Front Desk girl that's making APPTS. & making sure that she gives the Doctor his messages along with a million other tasks & duties etc which she does so well & so Promptly because I always get an answer back that same day, THANK YOU RAYNA for this, yes both of Dr Koe's Nurses have been so kind & helpful for all of my needs & getting my messages to my Doctor who is also very prompt in getting me whatever it is I am in NEED of....THANK YOU SO MUCH DR. Dr Koe has been my PCP for over 10 years and I have nothing but positive things to say about him. I have referred him to family/friends and all are happy with him. My kids also see him and if the negative post are anything like them - Doctor are not mind readers to figure out what you are there for. Just like any Doctor visit, as long as you are prepared and explain your condition, Dr Koe takes the time to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
