My family and I had a great time visiting this ice bar, even though we didn't drink alcohol. The price per person is reasonable at $29.95. What made me uncomfortable was the tip that guests feel pressured to give after paying just to enter. After paying the $26.00 entry fee per person, the attendant showed me the screen to complete the transaction, and I immediately saw the options for tips of 18%, 20%, and 22%. Don't get me wrong, I am a big tipper and love to tip for good to great service, but in this case, all I did was ask for three adult tickets, and I was being asked to tip at least $18.00. I paid the tip without complaint, as the young lady who helped me was not responsible for the business policy and simply greeted me with "hi and welcome." You're provided with a heavy parka and gloves before entering the ice bar area. Once inside, it's an amazing experience. The temperature is kept at a freezing -5 degrees, so you WILL feel the cold on your face as you step in. There are many ice sculptures throughout, as well as ice chairs and benches covered with fake fur, a full bar (including a tip jar) for those who want a drink, high-energy music blasting through the speakers, a free Pac Man game mounted on the frozen wall, and colorful, changing lights throughout the room. We paid $49 per person, which included admission, two drinks, a jacket, and gloves. They also offer other package options depending on how many drinks you want. At roughly $24 per drink, it's on the expensive side because my first drink wasn't full in the cup (see photo) and was weak....but you're really paying for the overall experience rather than just the cocktails. The drinks were decent--not bad, but nothing I'd specifically come back for. The real highlight is stepping into the frozen bar, taking photos, and enjoying the atmosphere. The staff was friendly, the vibe was great, and everything was well organized. If you're in Vegas and want a fun break from the casinos and the heat, Minus5 is worth visiting at least once. My wife and I have a great experience at minus5. All of the employees were helpful and friendly, and the drinks were actually pretty good. I did have one experience of my ice "glass" coming apart at the bottom, causing my old fashioned to dump all over my leg. But the bartender took care of it and fixed me up another one. My only complaint would be the price to get in. It's not that it's too high (I'd pay more to escape the Vegas heat on certain days), but I do feel a drink of choice should be included in the price. What a unique experience in Las Vegas. Decided to stop here after brunch at Tao for a few cocktails. You're greeted by friendly staff and after confirming your reservation, you move onto the fitting area for a jacket. The jackets warm and was large enough for me to keep my backpack on. Once you're fitted for your jacket, you move into the deep freezer which is ridiculously cold. Everything inside is made of ice. The bar, the seats, tables, even the glasses, it's the "coolest" thing ever. The seats are lined with animal skins so you're not sitting directly on the ice. There are ice sculptures to explore inside, games to play, and even a free video game machine. How electronics stay functional in that extreme environment is beyond me. My party and I had a few off the menu cocktails which were delicious, and finished our visit by taking a shot all together on this unique paddle that holds the shot glasses....everyone drinks at the same time when the paddle is tipped. We were in there for about an hour and upon exiting, the casino actually felt warm for a little bit. Great experience and will come back to visit again! read more

Walking in we upgraded to the fancy jacket so that it looked cooler for pictures and you get to keep the hat and the gloves in the ice cup it's gonna melt on you as soon as you walk outside, but that's you know neither here or there. It's pretty cool. We ordered margaritas and had a drink and it was good. It was fun but you can't stay in there too long or you get super cold... So it was fun for the 10 minutes that we were in there got some great photos and they even give you a couple of photos when you upgrade. All in all it was a great experience. read more

It's called the ice Bar so of course it was freezing; however, if you dress warm and wear the provided coat they have for you, you'll be perfectly fine, unless you have a real issue with cold weather. Minus5 Ice Bar was a cool experience! We booked the 8pm-10pm time and everything was made out of ice. There was modern music playing and it was definitely chilly so I recommend wearing pants. They only provided you with a parka and gloves which can get damp easily if you like nursing your drink like me. We got the "coolest experience" which included two drinks. I have never had an old fashioned before nor did I enjoy bourbon but I was curious to see a sweet bourbon on the menu and asked the bartender about it. She said I probably would not like it but kindly offered a sample for me to try and she was right I did not enjoy it. She offered to sweeten it with simple syrup but that still did not work for me so I opted for the frozen berries and the cool espresso drink which were both delicious. We took some fun photos with the ice decor and there was also a photographer who snapped pictures you could purchase. The only downside was that you do not get to see the photos until after you leave the bar and return your parka but we ended up buying four that looked amazing. The photographer even noticed my gloves were soaking wet after one of the photos and brought me a fresh pair which I thought was very attentive and sweet. Overall the staff was welcoming and made the whole experience enjoyable. It included four alcoholic drinks, which you could either choose individually or sample as part of the captain's flight (four small drinks to taste). We opted for the flight and enjoyed it. They also offer $5 off for locals but they didn't apply it for us initially even after showing our IDs. We had to go through refund process after the experience which was a bit frustrating. The cruise experience was sitting on tables while the screens around you showed ocean scenes. However, they left the door open which took away from the experience as you would see the real outside. We asked them to close the door so we could better feel like we are on a cruise but they didn't accommodate our request. The icebar was freezing. Even with the provided coats and gloves, we couldn't stay there for long. If you don't get your drinks at the booze cruise, you can use your voucher in the icebar where drinks are served in ice cups. The icebar is a room with chairs, tables and different statues made of ice. It is definitely worth seeing it for once but overall it wasn't especially impressive. read more
