My son has several behavioral issues that make going to any doctor a nightmare usually... But this place and the staff surprised me over and over with how kind, patient, welcoming, confident, and accommodating they were toward me kid and his needs. I'm so used to providers misunderstanding and/or mistreating my kid that I was truly shocked by how awesome they were. Turns out he didn't have an ear infection, but even the doctor who examined him was simply AMAZING working with him. Patient, attentive, respectful, curious, playful, and supportive. He didn't judge me for bringing him in, or act like we'd wasted his time. I seriously wanted to hug him at the end, lol. I wanted to hug all of them! Filled out paperwork then waited and waited over 45 minutes. Paid $199 as I don't have insurance. Was finally brought to the back and a nice lady took my vitals and brought me to an exam room. All the exam rooms doors were open. I was the only one there. Waited 15 more minutes. A young man came in and said he was a physicians assistant. Ok well I'm here now so. We talk for one minute then he starts the exam. He looks in my ears and says I need lavage. Weird because I do that every couple of months. He stops the exam and says he'll be right back. Another 15 minutes later he says yes I need that and it's an extra charge. He wouldnt tell me how much. So, I asked if I could shoot home real quick and do that myself and come straight back within the hour. He said if I leave that's the end of the visit and would have to pay again. I said, jeez it seems like you guys are all about the money here. He steps toward me and says "don't even go there". So after paying $199 to see a doctor, now I have a PA telling me I can't question why I got a one minute exam and they want more money. He wouldn't check my eyes, he wouldn't check the rash on different parts of my body, he wanted more money and I wasn't allowed to question that. He said it in a mildly aggressive way. He never even told me how much more money this would cost. That was enough for me. I walked out and told the lady in the front I felt like I was ripped off and I expected my money back. I did not get a refund and this money grubbing corporation had texted me that someone would contact me for a resolution. Almost a month later and nothing. This is a test case as to how our healthcare system is totally broken. I went to an urgent care in San Fernando and met Dr Parray. $150 and a 5 minute exam and he prescribed ear and eye drops, and a cream for the rash that did the trick for me. He called me 2 days later to follow up with the treatment. He's a nice older doctor that has seen it all and cares for everyone he sees. AFC doesn't even have a Dr they have an aggressive PA and they only care about siphoning money from your insurance company. Don't waste your time or money.

The person on the phone was nice and provided all the information i needed and confirmed my insurance will cover it free. I went to the facility and they greeted me walking in and sign in was a breeze. I did had to fill out a first time patient form but i skipped the SSN and explained to her since i have insurance i shouldn't require it so she helped me skip that and once i was done; i waited like 5 minutes and i was let in by a girl named Leslie who gave me my covid shot. In another 3 minutes then i was out. She was very friendly and helpful. I was happy with my visit and plan to come back whenever i need any medical needs from them!

After half an hour, they told me I'd need to pay an extra consultation fee of about $100, which I found completely unreasonable. I told them I wouldn't pay that fee and decided to leave. The front desk staff didn't even look up at me or acknowledge what I said; they basically ignored me until I repeated that I was leaving. Only then did they say, "Oh, I heard you." The whole experience felt extremely rude, and I think their system is really flawed. It was a total waste of my time, especially since I rushed over during rush hour. I definitely won't be coming back and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone else. Additionally, when I tried to book the appointment online, they required me to enter my Social Security number just to process the appointment. If I didn't provide it, the appointment couldn't be completed. That's very unusual, as many clinics don't ask for a Social Security number at all. When I called to ask them to remove it, they said they didn't even have it on file. Overall, this place was a waste of my time and I wouldn't trust them again. Let me respond firmly to the points you raised. First, when I booked my appointment online, I was required to upload my ID and my insurance card in advance. The entire purpose of that should have been to verify my information before I arrived. It makes no sense that after I got to your clinic, you then spent a large amount of time re-verifying what I had already provided. This shows that your front desk staff is unfamiliar with your own procedures. In fact, after she confirmed with your manager, she admitted all she needed was the policyholder's name and birthdate--something that should not have taken 20 minutes if she had been properly trained. If you require uploads of ID and insurance cards, then verification should happen before the patient arrives--not after. Second, the claim that your front desk thought I was on the phone is nonsense. I told her twice that I was leaving and she ignored me. The third time I asked if she heard me, she finally looked up and said, "I heard you." That means she was deliberately ignoring me all along. It's extremely rude and unprofessional to pretend not to hear a patient who is speaking directly to you. Third, it is now December. If it were January, I might understand a deductible. But by the end of the year, it's impossible that I would have a deductible left. I had just used my insurance that morning with no issue. Your system is clearly at fault here, not my insurance. Also, requiring a Social Security number just to make an appointment is not acceptable. You cannot force patients to provide an SSN just to book a visit. Finally, I will not be spending any more time clarifying these issues or responding further. I wrote this review so that others looking for a clinic can see my genuine experience and decide for themselves.

Nurse Michael Scott, though he did not introduce himself, overheard the conversation and provided his insight. Did I get the information that I needed, yes. If this was a gas station that would be totally acceptable. I am a mother who is concerned for the well-being of her son, scared, deprived of sleep because our regular pediatrician is closed on the weekend. What I expected was the basic, kindness and warmth most doctors give, especially when a child is involved Instead, Nurse Scott was rude, short & condescending. If I knew how to correctly diagnose my son I would not be seeking help from professionals. What might seem to be basic information to you Nurse Scott may not be for the general public- so the snub attitude was unnecessary. Thankfully my son was out of earshot when you started to talk about anal sex and how that could likely be a reason for what I thought was going on with my 4 year old son. Lastly, it's about 9am Sunday June 28th 2026, you all have been open for an hour now. I hope by now you have warmed up and the next patients that come in do not have the same experience that I had. I pray that whatever you saw in us that was undeserving of an introduction of a doctor, understanding, empathy & patience changes.
