I've been there 3 times for the ER. Twice my experience with the Dr's has been efficient and diagnosed well. Sadly, there was one time in the ER where I was diagnosed by a NA and it was wrong and I was prescribed a medication in the Mycin genre. I am allergic to any drug in the Mycin family; which I had written down, is in my folder and I told them verbally. The drug prescribed to me could have killed me and if it wasn't for my Pharmacist at Walgreens on Broadway, Ann who is the freaking BEST!, she saved my life. I would still recommend the hospital beyond this one bad experience.

Robert Mazalewski, PA exhibits the most ignorant, impatient, unwavering arrogance that appears to be adopted by the aforementioned male associate. The facts are clearly established as, their rating is indicative of the quality of, and their attention to, patient care, "the office experience" & accuracy of service. Do yourself a favor, and don't waste your time. You will be better served as this location lacks the capacity, competence and credibility to serve the diversity of the community in which it is centrally located. I was inconvenienced to return and wait an hour, standing in the waiting area as Robert Mazalewski, PA, lacked the intelligence or expertise needed to accurately input my name & address as shown on my State Of Illinois Drivers License. He failed three times to enter the information accurately. An administrative mistake (a typographical error), which could have been easily avoided, had he checked his work. Taken the limited effort to dedicate a couple minutes to check his work. I was 1of3 other "patient customers" to have some "issue" to occur as I waited and others were made to take time out of their day, to return and address the rude, time-robbing "Gate Keeper" who, like the P.A., blamed the female staff who work within the Lab, for issues that clients experienced. No Ma'am! The issues are with you Sir's.

The coughing progressed into choking, gagging and recently trouble swallowing. After the coughing complaint, I reported random diarrhea, which was dismissed. Then I complained of vomiting. For years my symptoms got worse. Finally the vomiting was so bad, I insisted on seeing a surgeon. The gallstone that was documented on my medical records years prior turned into Chronic Cholecystitis, which can be life threatened. It can also lead to Pancreatic cancer, from which my mother died; she too was undiagnosed for years. Advocate Ravenswood let me suffer for years and harmed my long term health. This is not the only undiagnosed issue. Dr. Mikesell and Dr. Lamaster both dismissed my complaints about cognitive dysfunction for years with repeated complaints from me. The dysfunction now seems to have been caused by seizures. Two head injuries are in my medical records and they dismissed me and never followed up. Negligent or incompetent? Does it matter which? Also I rarely saw Dr. Lamaster. His residents were the only appointments I could get. One told me that I did not need to check my blood sugar... I am diabetic. Another put in my medical records that I had high blood pressure, which is incorrect and caused me problems with the anesthesiologist prior to gallbladder surgery. I have many other more examples of incompetence but individually they do not seem important. However, when a medical practice has consistent mistakes and the residents do not read your chart, they put your life at risk. Chronic Cholecystitis can be life threatening. It inflamed my pancreas and liver.

The building is bright and welcoming, as are the folks working the front desk. I also appreciate how clean it is. Our Doctor, Dr. Serrano, has been absolutely wonderful. From the jump she's always expressed genuine excitement to see us and our baby. We feel so comfortable and confident in her care, she really eases any worries we've had as we navigate parenthood! I've called the help line more than once when I've had questions or concerns and there is always a doctor ready to assist. So far, I'm really impressed with all experiences I've had here and want to thank them for keeping my baby healthy!

You can reserve a spot online (which is not an appointment time, but reduces your waiting time in the lobby.) I like these things. Let's talk about the providers. They're thorough and really nice. Around 6:20, myself and the other family went to the front desk to see how much longer it would be, the receptionist was not even there. Eventually she finally deigned to show up and let us know it'd be another 40 minutes, which, when you have a sick 3 year old, is an eternity. What is the point of making a 6pm appointment if they can't get you in till 7pm? And is there even anyone working there? It was SILENT and not a single person was called back in the entire 30 minutes we sat there. I rarely write reviews but I'm so unsettled by this experience, I'm not convinced this place is even legitimately staffed, strongly recommend finding an alternative if you value the "urgent" in urgent care.

The nurse practitioner that I saw at this location was completely dismissive and barely looked at me during my visit/consultation. She diagnosed me with a cold before even looking at me. She examined me briefly and told me that even if I had a sinus infection she couldn't help me. I am seen semi-regularly by an ear nose and throat doctor for my sinus infections. Funny that he treats my sinus infections with antibiotics and so have the other doctors that I've seen when I've had them. Then she asked me about the flu shot. I said I broke out in a rash and had a headache for 3 days the last time I got a flu shot. She proceeded to say that all vaccines are made basically the same way, so if I was ever vaccinated for anything else without an issue that I couldn't possibly have a reaction to the flu shot. Needless to say, I went to Peterson Urgent Care after I left and was diagnosed with a sinus infection and was prescribed an antibiotic. After speaking to friends in the medical field, I also found out that people can have reactions to specific vaccines. Basically I had to make 2 medical appointments last week to get my problem resolved. I called Take Care Clinic immediately after my appointment to complain. They assured me that they would have a manager call me within 24 hours. This was on Wednesday... I had to call back today to see why a manager still hasn't called me. I was told that my complaint wasn't processed properly and that they had to re submit it. How aggravating. If you're sick... save yourself some time as well as money, and go to your primary care physician or to an urgent care facility.

Nurse practitioner Michelle was very professional and extremely helpful. She was also very nice, answered all of my questions, and allayed my anxiety -- great "bedside manner." My ears had not been "professionally" cleaned in over 30 yrs., so the ear cleaning process was uncomfortable, to say the least. Michelle managed to get the job done w/ as little trauma as possible. She prescribed antibiotic ear drops to ward off infection, which I conveniently purchased at the Walgreen's pharmacy. My ears immediately felt better after treatment. I can hear again! Take Care Clinic is a relatively affordable, convenient option to going to a primary care physician for minor medical issues, particularly if you are uninsured. You can even schedule an appointment online.
