I had horrible throat pain that day, congestion, severe joint and muscle inflammation pain, swollen glands and could barely speak. She diagnosed it as seasonal allergies, possible rheumatoid arthritis and possible thyroid. Dr.Murthy didn't even bother testing me for strep. Which is the usual standard protocol for with throat pain, so I could've been treated properly and neither did she check the inside of my mouth/back of my throat. I ended up going to the ER later that day because I felt so severely ill. I was not able to function. They diagnosed me with untreated strep throat and rheumatoid fever/reactive arthritis. Dr.Murthy's negligence/misdiagnosis could lead to someone's death or deteriorate someone's health condition that could have long lasting negative effects. She should definitely lose her medical license. The cherry on top, This practice didn't bill my insurance correctly (out of pettiness or what, who knows or even the billing people are incompetent). Completely unprofessional and giving my husband and I a hard time. We got a fat bill of $365 when our BCBS is supposed to cover it. They sent me text/email reminders then a bill in the mail with my husband's name WRONG. They put my middle name as his middle name. Which means they billed our insurance incorrectly. Ridiculous.. On top of that, their business reply on my Google reviews. They still found a way to shift the blame on me, while trying to take accountability. Oh you should've called back if you were getting worse. Honey I'm not going to call back if I can't even function, having severe chest and joint pain. Also the fact I wasn't taken seriously and was misdiagnosed. I had to go later that same day to be seen and your practice was closed. Absolute appalling reply from the business. He didn't check my chart or examine my finger properly. When I pointed out a concerning bump, his only response was, "I don't know what this is. It looks fine to me." He told me I didn't need to come and to see my primary care doctor instead. When I asked for help from another provider, Chantelle Morales, the Director of Medical Support, stepped in with no background on my case. She accused me of causing the issue by not taking my meds -- without asking a single question or reviewing my chart. Her tone was sarcastic and condescending. When I asked to file a complaint, she gave me a non-working number and told me there was no other way to report the issue. I left feeling hurt, disrespected, and traumatized. I plan to request the footage and records from that day to document how I was treated with indifference and hostility instead of care.
