Upon arrival I checked right in and I was seen within 10 minutes. The provider was nice and the care was good; she checked out my hand and proceeded to prescribe a steroid cream to help it. On the front there was a female employee i told her i am picking my TB result I suppose to pickup yesterday I would not able to pickup yesterday i come can I have my TB result she talk to me very rude way for no reason I didn't say anything to her start telling me they said your ganna pick up your results result yesterday you supposed be come yesterday not today I was told her didn't make yesterday i can i have result now she was talking to me very rude way her voice is too loud and then from inside old lady came out what going i said her picking up my results she asked my name she said your ok you can also pick up today that fine lady was very nice and helpful and The one at the front desk very rude lady the no reason. We used to like them before they turned me away with sever flu saying that I need to make an appointment while everyone else came walk-in. Not coming back I gave them a second chance and came with the flu - they misdiagnosed me and after that they refused to see me. Horrible customer service and I'm filing the complaint with HHS. They don't have MDs, only NP. This place used to be good but not anymore. The manager Chris makes it the worst urgent care in Woodbridge. Very rude and indifferent personnel. read more

We are from out of town and were able to get in right away. Everyone was so polite and nice: the man at the front desk, the nurse assistant, and the NP. They were all great! They did the strep test immediately and as soon as the results came back antibiotics were sent in. The NP even looked up the last antibiotic she was on so she could order a different one. The quality of care was amazing. They even helped me find the nearest pharmacy to where we were staying with family. I would definitely recommend them! read more

Gave this place another chance today. Due to being the only urgent care with no patients. First red flag but hey... nothing like being top priority. Chris and Shari clearly got their degrees from the fake college in Florida cause these two didn't have a clue. Didn't want to test me for strep. Literally refusing multiple times. After going back with Chris for 15 min they give me the test. Yep positive along with the flu. Ditsy Shari sent me home with only amoxicillin. I said mam, I'm in terrible pain, look at my throat it's almost swollen shut and what about my flu? She says "you can always go grab something over the counter." Lol this place is hilarious. Went to another urgent care right after... they felt so bad and couldn't believe what had just happened. They prescribed me flu medicine and another medication for the terrible swelling in my throat and answered all my questions regarding post care. Even with an appointment we waited over 45 minutes for our COVID test. Make sure you pick up a coffee on your way and pack snacks.

FNP Evelyn discounted my concerns. Treated me like I was ridiculous for getting seen. Made a judgey comment about me breastfeeding my 18 month old when WHO, ACOG, and AAP all support breastfeeding 2 years and beyond. why are you in healthcare if you are rude to sick people? Also, didn't ask what pharmacy I wanted meds sent to and got pissed at me when I requested military facility so I wouldn't have to pay money for meds that are free. Never going here again. Do better for veterans and military because this whole experience sucked. read more

You'll get billed, despite having insurance. After a visit in December 2020, Velocity Urgent Care sent me a bill eight months later, despite having my insurance information on file. I provided my Drivers License and my insurance card (Tricare - for Veterans) during my visit. Come late July; I received a text message stating that I had an outstanding balance and was provided with a link to pay. I immediately reached out to the number listed in the text message and waited for over 30 minutes before finally hanging up. I called back and left a voicemail with their billing department, but I never received a returned phone call. A week later, I decided to follow up and reach out to their corporate office since I had not gotten a response. I spoke with a kind woman who had provided me some insight as to why I was being billed. She had informed me that my insurance card had not been adequately scanned and uploaded to their system, which caused the error. She kindly asked if I could take a picture of the front & back of my insurance card and email it to her to ask the billing department to reprocess my claim. I assumed this issue was corrected when I sent her a scanned copy of my insurance card, but I was wrong. Fast-forward to mid-September when I received a bill from Velocity Urgent Care. I immediately reached back out to that kind woman who had previously assisted me, and I asked her if she could provide me with any information about the response she received from the billing department. She replied and advised me that the billing department attempted to bill my insurance. They claimed my insurance had been 'canceled.' So I filed a dispute with the Better Business Bureau and the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia. I can finally say that they decided to get their act together by reprocessing my insurance correctly. During my visit, I must say that all the staff were very professional and friendly. read more

My family and I went about a month ago after NextCare Urgent Care around the block was unprofessional and incompetent. The front desk staff was very personable and made us feel right at home. The physicians did what they could and offered viable and acceptable alternatives for things they couldn't. Came in to get tested for COVID-19 as a walk-in on a Tuesday morning. It was a very pleasant experience. Greeted upon entrance, the front desk receptionist then gave us clear instructions on filling out the paperwork. She then texted when I was able to come back in. I am very glad I came here to get tested amidst being nervous about being exposed to COVID, the staff made the entire experience great! read more

My son needed a last minute Sports Physical and I called ahead to see if there were any appointments and the woman I spoke with warned there were several scheduled for today, earliest would've been 3:11 PM which would've been too late (son only asked to tryout today, hence last minute need for appt). She said I could try and walk-in to see if they could squeeze me. By the time I was able to get my son out of school and get there, they were booked, I understood because she let me know that would be a possibility. However, she was able to get us seen and I have to say, she was so professional, yet very personable. To be a mother in a rush is overwhelming and she just made my stressful day a breeze. This was the best experience I've had in any medical practice, or really any where that someone has to be the face and main contact for so many strangers/customers/patients etc. Shout out to Lana (oh gosh I hope I got that right), thank you for being so great and kind, there are few out there in a stressful position that can handle and help others in need with so much care. read more

Staff are always friendly and it's a quick visit but don't come here for injury that requires X-rays. They do not have a radiology tech who can read them. Otherwise cold, flu, sinus infection strep throat, bronchitis or even COVID they can diagnose and treat. Won't take out of state insurance (despite having me wait 6 hours in line before telling me that) for COVID-19 testing. Turned me away after I had waited 6 hours and then when I called them on the phone, the receptionists were snickering and whispering about my out of state insurance while I was on the phone. I've never had to use an Urgent care and honestly have avoided it due to horror stories. BUT THIS PLACE?! Is fantastic! The recent storm knocked out communication at my PCF so I had no choice. All the medical staff are polite and professional. In and out just as fast as one would hope. I'm a medical student, and assume my situation is different but still, even if you have to wait, the MA at the front desk is so sweet. The place is immaculate and inviting. I have a primary care provider who I saw in-office Wednesday. Waited over 2 hours to see her just to get a routine physical. When she finally came in I opted just to get my medications refilled and left. The next day I felt ill (most likely a seriously bad case of food poisoning) but because of COVID and my symptoms being similar I had to get tested for family's sake and for work. I did not want to go back to my PCP, period. Went to Velocity after my husband had a good experience getting his COVID test done there and let me tell you, they were GREAT!! The front desk staff were so friendly and personable--that really makes a difference at any place. The staff were organized and had a protocol in place for check-in and called you to get your results at another entrance (for rapid tests). Not sure what changed since the other negative comments were posted but I'm glad to have this place close to home. read more

I broke my left arm, went to this "velocity" urgent care, I will not speak about how long I have to wait "3.5 hrs" but I will only focus on that receptionist in the front desk.. she was very, very, very rude and not polite, I tried to explain to here how much I am in pain but at the end she give an order to step out of the clinic or she will call the police, she must not be in any health facility. if this clinic want to get better review, then she must not be in the front desk. read more
