I went online around 10am and the virtual line said to come in at 2:45pm. I went ahead and got "in line". I know timing is an estimate and not an appointment. I showed up at 2:30 and checked in. There were 3 people sitting in the waiting room when I arrived. While I sat there I saw walk ins come in to be told 3-4 hour wait. I was finally called back around 3:15. The nurse saw me and swabbed my nose for Covid and flu and said she would "be right back". I sat for an hour, not knowing what was going on. Finally the physicians assistant came in and met with me for less than 5 mins before writing me a prescription. I was there for 2 hours. (I assume both tests were negative since I was never told either way) I'm sure it's a staffing problem and maybe they only have 1 PA. I just don't know that I would recommend going if you truly do have an urgent need or don't want to spend your day waiting.

When we arrived, there were no other patients in the clinic. The staff at the front desk was chatting and definitely not in any rush. The person checking us in even stepped away to ask someone if we could be seen, then came back and continued checking us in with zero urgency -- despite the fact that this was an infant head injury. They seemed far more concerned with taking payment first than anything else. After taking payment, we continued waiting. Not a single person looked at my baby. Not even a quick assessment. Eventually another staff member told us we needed to go to the emergency room because they "can't do imaging here," and they said they would process a refund. That was it -- no exam, no evaluation, nothing. At the ER, they explained that they use a well-validated rule called PECARN to determine if imaging is necessary. In our case, imaging wasn't needed -- but at least they evaluated my child and followed proper medical protocol. Why didn't urgent care do the same? Why didn't anyone even take a look at my baby? Instead, they were busy chatting or processing payment. This level of care (or complete lack of care) is dangerous, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable -- especially when dealing with an infant who experienced a fall. I will never return, and I hope management addresses this immediately.

Downgrading my review to reflect this as I sought care elsewhere which involved speaking with a telehealth doctor for 2 minutes and picking up an Rx 10 minutes later.... My advice: DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT AN RX if the doctor suspects that you may even potentially need one. There is no way to simply follow-up and have one issued after the fact.

So I left my primary care doctor's office because I felt like a number. It just wasn't the same…read moreanymore and I heard from a co-worker that they switched to Advent Health Primary Care+. I decided to take the leap of faith and make an appointment. I am glad that I did. I live in Apopka and this office is less than 10 minutes away from me, so its location was important, They have late hours until 8pm on weekdays and are open on the weekend. If you are familiar with the Advent Health system, all of your medical information is accessible through their website or their app you can download on your phone. I love that if I get bloodwork done at one of their locations, it's almost immediately available in their portal. I can access my past appointments and if I have ever gone to a Centra Care or the Advent ER, all of that is available. So far it's been great. Even if I don't always see the same doctor, all of the notes are in the system. Every time I have had an appointment, the doctor or the assistant has been very caring, helpful and informative.
