I will never use Minuteman Press again. Frank Matsumoto was unprofessional and delivered an unusable product. I was never given nor waived a finished proof before 1000 sheets of letterhead and 500 business cards were printed. Instead, he came to my office with another attorney's letterhead and business cards to show me what my letterhead and business cards would look like. This was my first time having business cards and letterhead professionally printed for my own business and I knew another law firm that used them before. After talking to other people, they said that all of their professional printing companies provide them with a proof before the final printing even if the design is made by a third party. Immediately after Frank dropped off the job, I contacted him about the serious issues with what was printed. I asked for the job to be reprinted with the corrections. After a week with no response to my request for the job to be reprinted, I asked for a refund. He refused to reprint the job or give me a refund. Instead, he blamed me and said I was trying to save money by having the original design done through an online graphic design contest. Both were not true. If I was trying to save money, I would not have selected a local professional printing company and paid the premium price for the printing. If I didn't want professional judgment to be exercised by the printing company, I would have had my letterhead and business cards printed through an online company at a third of the price and a MUCH faster turnaround time. i would never use this Minuteman Press or any printing company that doesn't give you a finished proof to approve before printing or doesn't stand by their final product. read more

Actually I would give them a million stars if I could. I had been looking for a place to make copies for my art. I needed a great inkjet copier for my copies so that the colors could pop right off the page, and I have found my place right here at Minuteman Press! Steven and I emailed back and forth. I had called around a number of places trying to have a very large number of CDs burned for our office located in Santa Ana for a rush order. Everyone I spoke to was lagging to respond with a quote (knowing we were in a hurry) and said they would "try" to complete it within 6 or 7 days but didn't sound very confident. After a couple days had past, I was getting nervous and decided to call places that were a bit further from our office. Within 20 minutes of my initial call, Frank was able to provide us with a quote, AND had our project already in production with confidence that it would be completed by deadline. A few months ago, after extensive research, we decided to get our special designed /custom ordered business cards done at Minuteman Press - Irvine Spectrum. *Main factor: We were using a card stock (size/weight and type) that is uncommonly used, and it was going to be a double sided ink printing, that would capture the desired look and feeling we were shooting for. This required Minuteman having to have plates cut for the project, and print old school style, achieving a classic and classy look which cost a lot more than everyday laser printing. We took a couple months going to other print companies bringing our project w/ the specs, and all of them said the same thing. That, they didn't think it could be done the way we would have liked it and that we would have to change our design. What? Can't do? Change our design? Now, that isn't the kind of attitude we were looking for, when it comes to trying to get the job done in America, do we? No. We worked hard to come up with the design, the least anybody can do is give it a shot at producing what we wanted. Right? Right. Minuteman Press - Irvine Spectrum was the only people that said they'd give it a shot. Cool. I was already aware of the problems that may occur, but what I really wanted was someone to at the very least, try to do it for us. So I sent in my design and in less than a week I got a phone call to go check out the stats that they had prepped. Not a very easy place to find, Minuteman Press - Irvine Spectrum is located in that maze of building located in the industrial park area and, well, everything looked the same. And the building are not clearly marked. I finally found the front door and met up with the person handing our project. She was very very professional, informative and really nice. After careful scrutiny of the stat, I made the decision to go with the production. Good. Done. A few days after that, I got the call that the cards were done. Cool. I went to pick up the cards. After a quick examinations of the cards and paying the bill, I headed home to ready myself for the meeting with the business partners. It was during the meeting that we got to sit down and go through all the cards, it was there that we got to see all the flaws with the printing and cutting and all the details that became more and more apparent. Basically, we were not happy with them. So, how is it that they got 4 stars and not less. Customer Service. A few days later, I brought the cards back and showed them to the lady who helped me earlier and she said that she would work on them and figure out a way that they could reprint and cut the cards they way we wanted them. She would let me know how things progressed. Cool. A couple weeks and a couple missed calls later, I finally get in touch with some one who has been working on the project with her. He informs me of the various methods of trying to achieve our design, after a few more trial and errors, came to the conclusion that it was not going to be possible to get done. So instead of wasting more time and materials, that they would give us a full refund. Ok. I was satisfied with that. I sent the lady info on where to mail the refund check, and boom in a week it was there. Cool. yeah, I could have saved everyone from wasting time and money, but that wasn't what I was interested in doing. At all cost, we wanted our cards done the way we wanted them done. So the fact that Minuteman, really tried to achieve that for us is what make them great. Yeah, I will definitely bring my other project to them. read more

I have used this minuteman press for things ranging from general office flyers to large complicated portrait printing jobs that required much more work and attention to detail. I have been very please with all my printing jobs done there and the customer service is excellent. For Christmas I made a large collage for my Grandpa which consisted of various pictures of him with the family, and considering he is turning 90 this year it was something special that I wanted to get done right so we could hang it on the wall. The print job turned out great so I decided to order two smaller laminated copies for myself and my dad. When I got the smaller copies they looked great but there was a tiny bubble in the bottom right hand corner on one of the laminated services which is not really a big deal but I'm a bit of a perfectionist. When they asked me how i liked the printing I said great and I just casually brought up the air bubble in the lamination and within 2 hours they had brought me a new copy at my office. WOW! Talk about great customer service. I was already very satisfied with the printing job now I'm just blown away to see what great attention to detail and customer service this place has. It is good to see that with all these large companies who have poor customer service that there are still businesses out there that go above and beyond to keep their clients happy. I've used them for printing company letterhead, advertising pens, envelopes, color event programs and most recently, two 8'x24' color, mesh fence banners. Minuteman Press was amazing to work with. My family of 14 (with varying sizes, 18 months, 2T,3T, 4T, 5T woman's sizes, men sizes, and XXXL) decided very last minute that we had to have festive matching shirts for our trip to Cabo and Frank at Minuteman Press made it happen. Very late in the afternoon on Wednesday we placed our order and the next day we received our proof and our shirts were ordered. Our shirts were perfect from size to color and font, the whole group was pleased with the final product. The shirts were ready by Thursday and in our hand before we left on Saturday morning that week. The staff was very personable and friendly. Their can-do attitude and ability to meet all of our needs in such a short period of time was really appreciated and we had a blast on the trip sporting our fun family shirts! These guys are AWESOME! I work for a non-profit called International Sanctuary in Irvine by the airport. We needed some printing done for our fundraiser invitations. Because our budget is very small I researched all the printers in the area including the minuteman press 30 seconds down the street, and Kenny the Printer 4 doors down from our office. Both their pricing was way too high, that's including their non-profit "discounts".
