I was in town for a convention last weekend and had the worst customer service encounter I've ever experienced. To preface this, I just want to say that I have used other Minuteman Press locations with no problem. I specifically sought out this location because I did not want to go to a Fedex because I've had such a good experience with MP in the past. Well, there's a first time for everything. My friend and I showed up around 9:30 AM on Friday to get a couple of illustrations printed for a comic book convention. The man helping us at the front desk was exceedingly rude to us - which I would have understood if we came in late at the day, but we were there early specifically to get things done fast and be out of everyone's hair. He was grumpy and despite us saying that we needed to be at the convention soon, did not offer any sort of an apology as he kept leaving us to take care of other orders. It's not the lateness that bothered me, but rather his demeanor. It was like he didn't want our business and just wanted us to leave. After finally getting all of our files he said they would be done in about an hour and that he would email us when they were ready to pick up. We did not get a call until past 2 PM. When I called him back, he asked if I had checked my email quote. I told him I never received an email but he insisted that he sent it to me and I needed to tell him yes or no so he can go ahead with the order. Remember - he told us initially that everything would be finished and ready to pick up in an hour. 4 hours later, and he still hadn't gotten around to printing our relatively small order. I told him to go ahead and print it and he guaranteed that we could come pick it up by the end of the day and that he would email us. I did not receive a call nor an email that day. This particular location is also closed on Saturdays and Sundays so that meant that I had no way of picking up my order at all considering I was only in town for the weekend and wouldn't be around Monday. We ended up going to the Fedex located in the convention center instead. The staff there were welcoming and helpful and did not outright lie to us about when our printing would be finished. I do a fair amount of conventions around the country, and if I'm ever back in the area - I will never be using this location again. I would advise other artists to do the same. read more

Very disappointed in the customer service. I needed a small order to be printed. I called in advance to discuss the order and emphasized that this would be a small order with x amount of pages. They confirmed that they can do it etc. Upon arrival, they told me they can not do it because they have a minimum order (exceeding way what I would need). I understand if a shop has a minimum order and can't do it for small because of machine setup or whatever other reasons, but that's exactly why I called to make 100 % sure. In the end they made me come all the way and waste my time. In addition, not friendly, on phone and in store. I can't judge the quality of the work. read more

It was down to the last minute, the night before my wedding when our original company could not fulfill the order for our 250 guest wedding: ceremony programs, menu cards, labels for favors, the works! We would have been devastated if it were not for MMP on 5th! We called them last minute, realized it would be difficult for them. HEIDI Heidi was the person who helped me, THANK GOD because she was very patient with our rush order request, she got creative to help us get things done faster or cheaper, and she got our order to us that night - left it with the concierge in the building so we could pick it up after hours. QUALITY Our order was more beautiful than we could have imagined. Perfectly done. Not one thing to complain about. ALL IN ALL Heidi made our experience well-worth it and we will come to MMP on 5th for all of our printing needs. She was personable and well-experienced enough to know how to help us with our needs and use outside of the box thinking to help her customers. She's raved about on YELP and this is why!! This was the most best service I ever experienced by a copy shop! I was ordering from germany last minute business cards for my friend by telephone. Those guys managed everything including delivery for a really good price - almost to cheap for the grade of service and a pile of business cards! Right off the bat, let me say that Minuteman Press is pretty inexpensive. I called around for quotes for a printing job for my office, and Minuteman was by far the cheapest - about half of what most other printers were quoting. And when we got our final product, it looked great, i.e. not like we should have shelled out the extra money at a different place for a better result. I was very satisfied with how our printing came out. Minuteman's other big strength, as far as I'm concerned, is their customer service. Everyone always seemed happy and helpful to me. I was always able to get connected quickly and easily with the woman who was handling our project, instead of having to talk to a different employee each time I called (which as some of you know, makes a big difference). I had to check in several times because of small alterations to the printing on our end, and they were always happy to accomodate. The only reason that I didn't give Minuteman a 5-star review is that there was a problem with our initial order and we had to have a second copy of our project printed. Even this problem, though, actually reflected well on Minuteman - there was a miscommunication and they graciously took all responsibility, cleared up our problem, and printed us a new order by the end of the day, for free. And as I said earlier, the end result looks great. I would definitely use them again. read more
