This started with a typical friendly but pushy salesperson that was deceptive about pricing. It wasn't until later that I realized the issue I was stuck in. A service tbat wasn't overly impressive for way too high of a price that contained a $300+ cancellation fee. This company was illegally soliciting in my township, which I found out after the agreement. When I tried to cancel on that basis, they refused to do so without giving me the $300 fee. So now I'm stuck. Very unhappy. I would never recommend this company or any company that has a cancellation policy like this. If Mira comes knocking on your door, say "no thank you." And considering they are pushy, you will probably have to say it several times. read more

I'd like to preface this review by sharing the fact that the Mira Home techs have been nothing but professional and kind. This review is not about Mira Home techs, but about the service, their poor management practices and their lack of customer care. Let me start at the beginning.... I was sitting on my front porch with my laptop, getting some work done on a warm and sunny, early fall day in 2024. This takes place in Northeast Ohio, for those wondering. A random sales person comes up my walkway and introduces himself as a rep from a local company that's providing pest control services in my neighborhood. He states that, because my neighbors just got serviced, it may cause the pests to flee to my property. It's important to add that the city I live in is akin to a nature preserve; tons of insects and small/medium animals, so this seemed a relevant proposal. Upon agreeing to the terms of the contract, which included 6 randomly spaced out pest control services, I was presented with an iPad to sign the contract and to pay, which I did. Over the course of the ensuing warmer months, my property was serviced, though I continued to have issues with bees and ants. On more than one occasion, I had to hire and pay for outside help to get rid of bees and ants, specifically. *** For NE OH residents needing help with non-stinging insects, I would suggest the company Catch a Critter, and for stinging flying insects, I had a truly amazing experience with The Bee Hunter! Definitely check them out. Anyway, last month, around the time of my 5th treatment, I called to let them know that I was dissatisfied and that I wanted to cancel my contract. They said I'd have to pay around $300-something dollars, and that it just made sense to complete the remaining services. I begrudgingly obliged. Fast forward to today (6/15/26) -- in response to their reminder text to let me know about my last remaining (6th) treatment scheduled for tomorrow, I called to let them know that I'd be happy to pay for the remaining service, but that they did not have permission to enter my property and perform said service. Read that again -- I said I'd pay for the service, but that I didn't want it performed! In response, they said "No. If we don't physically service your property, the system won't recognize it. You must allow us to come on to your property to perform the service". I went back and forth like this with Caleb, the "account manager" for a few minutes. The convo ended awkwardly in a sort of stalemate. In the meantime, I reported them to my bank for fraud and had them blocked from taking any money, and I altered local law enforcement that I'd be reaching out to them if these people tried to access my property again. This morning, the kind, unsuspecting tech arrived at my home and knocked on my door as I was pulling out of my driveway. I told him I'd spoken with the company, and that I told them not to come. He was, understandably annoyed, and proceed to complain about how "scheduling never lets them know about schedule changes", and how he's often turned away by customers, as their requests for cancellation or rescheduling go unreported to the techs who are performing the service. I don't know what kind of Mickey Mouse operation is being run here, but OH is a stand your ground state, and it'd behoove them to listen when a customer tells them not to enter their property. All in all, save yourself the stress and hire a normal company. read more

I want to share my experience so others don't get caught off guard. In May 2025, a Mira salesperson came to my door offering pest‑control services. I didn't have a bug problem, but I agreed to a one‑time wasp spray after being told I could cancel right after the first visit. What I wasn't told was that I was being signed into an 18‑month contract with a $250 cancellation fee. When I found out, I negotiated a shorter term and lower price -- and I've already paid that revised agreement in full. Even after completing the renegotiated contract, Mira is still treating me like I'm locked into the original 18‑month plan. They told me that if I don't call before that original term ends, they'll automatically start billing me month‑to‑month again. This feels like a business model built on confusing contracts and high‑pressure door‑to‑door sales, hoping customers won't notice the fine print. My issue is technically resolved, but the experience was frustrating enough that I want others to be aware before signing anything. read more

They lock you into a 1yr contract at an absurd amount of money per treatment. They show up clean cobwebs outside sprinkle stuff around the house and leave. They are there a total of 5 to 10 mins and charge 175 a treatment. Customer service is about as bad. To the point I said screw it only had to more treatments left and I paid the early cancellation fee of 365. That's how bad I wanted out of of my contract. Do not fall for this trap! read more

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with this company. Starting with misinformation from the beginning, multiple follow up visits on top of monthly visits that did not eradicate pests, having to stay on top of the account techs who visited to treat, and then upon cancellation being treated poorly with no regard for fault on their end. We had called after 4 months of treatment to cancel. After 30 minutes on the phone trying to simply stop services, we finally got to the final offer to not pay $250 in early termination. The offer was to sign up again for a lesser amount of future treatments. I offered to split the termination fee as they did admit faults and errors on their side, that was denied. I was speaking to the top of company, Jarod. I would never conduct business with the company again. Not only did they only eradicate a few spiderwebs and zero pests, I don't believe the company to be customer service focused. It was all about getting a cash grab on termination. read more

This was yesterday morning and they called me back 6 times yesterday and 8 times this morning before noon. They called me again even after asking them to stop calling me! They are a horrible company out of Brecksville, Ohio. I am not a customer of theirs. They had my debit card from a one time help my son in December pay the bill, and they kept my card on file and just charged it. When speaking with Javier the manager- He refused to refund my money knowing I was not the customer. I explained that I did not authorize him to keep my card of file and I an NOT your customer. He refused. I had to close my bank card to stop this preditor from getting more money. read more

DO NOT USE. FRADULANT COMPANY!!!!!!!!!! One star because I cant post a negative number. Hired Mira to event bugs. After a season of treatments, I found carpenter ants in my 10k remodeled bathroom. I was told I didnt tell them I had them and they didnt treat and its not covered. Not only can I not cancel after a year, I am now out of pocket $10k for a remodel again. BBB is my next contact. Salesmen go door to door. We had one person come to our front porch TWICE IN ONE DAY (7 hours apart) The pest saleskid, tapped on our front door window at 9:30 PM ! I had to escort him off the property even though he couldn't comprehend the "No Soliciting" sign on front door. He was very rude and disrespectful. Don't sign up. The "rep" that showed up on my steps told me all kinds of things (like easy canceling at any time) and then I find out that their long contract you sign on a iPAD (which you cant read till after you sign and then get a copy in email) locks you into 12 services / months. They also tried treating my yard in December, wont let you cancel if you don't call-in (wont take written cancellations), and threaten to turn you into collections when you explain their rep lied and you refuse to pay for future services. Oh yes, their email posted on their website, they refuse to take cancellation through there either even though their rep explained how to cancel their competition through text message. Quite a scam built on locking you into service and very difficult to work with. read more

I wish I could give a "Zero" - When you sign up they tell you can cancel at any time! What they do not tell you at the time you sign up is that you may cancel any time but it will cost your $360. I should have known better when the sales rep was coming door to door in our neighborhood. My mistake. 1st service was $300 they basically brushed our house with a wool swifter and sprayed the house.Took them 10 min. 2nd service much the same, but what I did not understand is that the second service cost me another $200. and they have me per the "Contract" $200 every month for a YEAR!!! Then when you call and try to cancel you get the run around, can't speak to anyone, put on hold for extended periods of time. They will not let you cancel without paying the $360! they then trick you even more and say that they will put me on a lower service plan. They will come out every 3 months for $40! but wait! Yea I heard for $40 dollars! but its NOT $40 it is $40 per month or $120! All they want is your money DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM! Unless you agree with 100% WHAT IS IN THE CONTRACT THAT NO ONE EVER READS! Because you trust what the sales rep is telling you at the time BAD COMPANY! and I'm not talking a rock band! They are misleading, they prey on the elderly in my neighborhood.
