The mission of Angels with Paws is great, but their "leadership" needs re-evaluation. Specially, Elizabeth Talamantez, as she is cruel and abuses the shelter's mission by trying to play God. I went to the shelter and immediately fell in love with one of their cats. The cat also took well to me. After reading the listing and visiting with the volunteer who observed how the cat and I interacted, there was no reason to believe this cat would not do well in my home with another cat. The listing never mentioned a home with existing cats being an issue, the social media post even encouraged a proper introduction with other pets in their new home, and when talking with the volunteer there was no mention of other cats being problematic. I submit my application and when I followed up, I was shocked to hear the "rationale" or lack of logic rather as to why I was being denied thr opportunity to save this cat. Elizabeth informed me that she felt it was best this friendly and affectionate cat "would do best being placed in a home with an aggressive cat or a dog" . What sick monster would subject a poor animal to an environment where they are being bullied by an aggressive cat or potentially terrified of a dog and not to mention this cat had no known history of being around dogs? Elizabeth Talamantez is not an animal advocate. She's a mentally disturbed individual who enjoys playing God by subjecting innocent animals to poorly placed homes. My family and I have consistently donated company matched donations and cat food throughout the years because we believe in the shelters mission, but we had no idea how disturbed the "leadership" is. For anyone reading this, I highly encourage you to consider donating elsewhere because your donations likely aren't being managed in a way that aligns with what the shelter claims. It's unfortunate how people will take advantage of innocent beings to fulfill their sick and twisted fantasies, while claiming to be a cat advocate.

We logged our service request in the website and then were sent an invoice a few days later. Thankfully I reviewed the invoice because it had overcharged us on a number of items. I sent the corrections back to Ruth, the owner of the company, and she thanked me for looking over the invoice. What confuses me though is this - If I spent all that time adding those services onto their horrendously confusing client portal, why would the services in the invoice be different? Seemed odd but I didn't really think much about it at this point. Ruth sent over the second invoice with the extra services removed. However, the price on this invoice was the same as the previous invoice - even though 3 services had been removed from the schedule. When I asked Ruth to give me a call to go over the invoice to explain the discrepancy and to ask questions about what some of the fees were for exactly, she shrugged off my question and just stated she had generated a new invoice. Again with mistakes and duplicate charges. At this point, I was getting uncomfortable with the number of mistakes occurring and the continual changes in fees being added that I once again asked for a call back to clarify some of the fees. She again responded by not addressing the question but rather declaring how she was helping us out by accommodating our service requests "on the fly." At this point, I was frustrated by her continual avoidance of my attempts to clarify the charges so I asked her once again to give me a call and let her know that my wife and I had attempted to call her MANY times over the past 4-5 days (about 12+ call attempts) to get some clarity on her services as well as fees since her website is so confusing and really doesn't provide much relevant details. She then responded by asking us to seek alternative services - once again, refusing to provide any clarity on her fees that seem to me to be redundant. See photo for her response to my email asking to clarify the fees. It's obvious that she does not want anyone questioning her fees. It also seems obvious, given that she provided 3 invoices and all 3 were incorrect, that she has no interest in being fair or providing honest answers about what she charges. She is looking for people to not look over their invoices and just overpay without question. Giving one star to this business is incredibly generous. If I could give 0, I would. Ruth, the owner of the business, is incredibly unprofessional and unresponsive. We made numerous attempts to call and email her but only received limited responses - basically just asking to pay up. Their website is hot garbage that provides little information and their client portal is even worse. Trying to book a service is a monumental task - let alone figuring out if you've done it correctly. Despite having a atrocious online digital presence, Ruth refuses to answer phone calls or call clients. I had used City Kitty once prior and was able to overlook their horrendous website that is hard to understand. I was also willing to ignore the incredibly confusing customer portal that makes it difficult to book services. But this lack of professionalism was pretty alarming. Do yourselves a favor and stay away from City Kitty Sitter (should be called Sh*tty Kitty Sitters). You can find better alternatives on Rover or other platforms that actually care about their customers.

The director said the cat she was interested in wasn't up for adoption yet and she would have to wait. After many days of my mom calling and talking to the lady she basically said that the cat was already hers she just had to wait for him to be available. Today my mom called the shelter again and the director said THAT THEY GAVE THE CAT AWAY!!!! my mom was so devastated. We just lost our family dog and she was so excited and looking forward to getting a new cat. The director said it was because they had heard my mom say she was going to make it an outdoor cat, WHICH IS COMPLETELY FALSE. first, my mom would never do that. She specifically wants a cuddly indoor kitty as a companion, second the shelter specifically said she cant have an outdoor cat and my mom agreed with that part of the contract. It makes absolutely no sense. I could tell from the very beginning something was off about this rescue and I was right. I'm not sure what they're doing over there but whatever it is it's not good. We will probably be getting in contact with a lawyer. DO NOT ADOPT FROM HERE!!!

This was about 2 days before Christmas. I was contacted by one of their adoption coordinators not long after and by New Year's Day I was having a meet-and-greet with my potential kitty. Meet and greet went awesome and I signed the adoption papers that day. In less than a week I'd found my new buddy! The adoption cost ($75) covered neuter, vaccines, microchip and more. I felt great knowing I was rescuing a safe and healthy animal. His foster mom was fantastic as were all the Pawsco people I interacted with. Everyone was very helpful and responsive - it was an easy process and I would recommend them to anyone looking to adopt a pet.

When I first chatted with Jane she told me she owned cats and I was afraid that Huck would be too feisty towards them. However within minutes of being in Jane's home, it was obvious that she is truly the mama bear/pack leader and all animals become harmonious little angels in her presence. I now get pictures of my dog sleeping next to cats and I see him walking side-by-side with them, totally unphased. Jane has watched my dog for extended vacations (2-3 weeks at a time) and has him over for daycare once a week. Daycare is seriously his favorite day of the week. He runs to Jane's door and bangs into it, demanding to be let in. He can barely keep his eyes open when I pick him up because he's had such an eventful day! Things unique to Jane's boarding/daycare: * Crate free atmosphere. Dogs sleep with her or wherever they like. * Backyard time * Dog park visits * She cares about your dogs behavior/growth and will work with your dog to help them get over fears, aggression, bad behavior, etc. * Unlike daycare or boarding in "corporate" places, your dog is active all day long. At corporate places, my dog would be in a holding room and cycled out for playtime so he wasn't getting exercise all day. My personal experience: * Huck is less aggressive for a few days after daycare. * My dog is usually one of the smallest dogs at her house and it's been great to get him exposed to other large breeds or breeds that he previously took issue with. * Peace of mind that my dog is getting some quality off leash time. Jane takes the dogs to the dog park in small groups and sometimes he gets to go multiple times a day. * Relief that my dog can be a dog and I don't have to worry about his behavior. If I take my dog to the dog park, I'm constantly worried he'll attack a dog. When he's with Jane, he behaves well since he's in a pack and isn't being protective over me.

Vera has great knowledge of her Siberian babies and really wants the best for all of her cats and future kittens. Tammy (and Vera too) are extremely informational on the diet these cats should get. We follow their diet advice strictly and our Roxy is super strong, healthy, shiny, and just a ball of fun. That aside, we couldn't imagine our lives without Roxy. I don't even know how at one point I lived without her. She's absolutely incredible with our kids who are 3 years old and 11 months old. Roxy has been dressed up as a doctor, she's had pretty bows placed gently on her and she continues to love on our kids. She protects them and wants to be around them constantly. She's also very found of our Samoyed as she loves to put her fluffy butt in our dog's face and rest her tail on top of her head. She brings so much happiness to our family. She loves to travel and explore new places. She loves to run and do somersaults off the wall. I'm sure this is all based on personality but Vera and Tammy placed Roxy with us because they knew that she'd be the perfect fit and she sure is. I want more but my husband says we have too many animals (another dog on the way). But maybe one day I'll convince him. Anyway, highly recommend this catery. They really love their babies like no other.
