Alright now. Unique is an ol' faithful. One of the last spots where you can walk in and get a good eyebrow threading/wax for under 20. They haven't fallen prey to overpricing and for that, I am grateful. HOWEVER, they have become a bit pushy when it comes to services that you don't want. Recently, I switched from threading to waxing. It's more precise and it makes them take their time. Well, they don't seem to like that lol! This is the second time that I've come in, stated that I wanted a WAX, and they try to pull out the thread. When I repeat myself, they try to argue me down about why threading is better. I'm not a young girl getting her eyebrows done for the first time. I'm a grown lady who knows what she prefers on her brows. At the end of this appointment, the girl starts threading anyway, stating that the brows will be sharper. Now, the brows did come out looking good, but they are a bit thinner and I'm annoyed because she kept trying to do extra things. They don't listen, and I don't want to fight with a service provider on something that I want and that works for me. I got my eyebrows threaded and my upper lip waxed a few weeks ago. The threading service was great, no complaints there, but the lady who waxed my upper lip put the wax on, and only AFTER ripping off the first side of wax did she ask if I was using any acne products. She proceeded to inform me that if you use acne products, you cannot get waxed on your face or else it will rip off a layer of your skin... she said she didn't ask me before performing the service because most people know this fact. This was my first time getting my upper lip waxed so I didn't know this fact. She still had to rip off the the other half but I was in so much pain and my upper lip looked red for a whole week! Thank god it calmed down before I went on vacation but it was not a good experience. She didn't even offer me a discount or give me an WAX TECHNICIANS SHOULD KOT ASSUME THAT THEIR CUSTOMERS KNOW EVERYTHING WHEN IT COMES TO THE DANGERS OF WAXING. I do not recommend this place for eyebrow threading. I came in on 8/11 for a simple eyebrow "clean up" and upper lip threading. I told the threader that I just wanted the stray hairs and my unibrow removed. She says "okay, okay". Next thing I know she is giving me a FULL eyebrow shaping service, changing the thickness, length, and shape of my brows. I wave my hand up and remind her that I just wanted the hairs under the brow removed. She says "I know, I'm just cleaning up the shape a bit, it will look good". Guess what? It does not look good. My brows are not the same length and one is thinner than the other. The worst part is that I DID NOT ASK FOR THIS!! I could not have been clearer on what I wanted. I do not even recognize myself in the mirror anymore because eyebrows can change your entire face. The shape they gave me is not flattering and it makes me look older. I feel completely violated by this establishment and I will never be back. She knew she was going against my wishes and did what whatever she wanted to my beautiful eyebrows that I had been growing out for 2 years. I usually go during the weekday to avoid the heavy lines and wait times on the weekend (make a reservation well beforehand if you're going during the weekend). You check in by writing your name down on the list. Then, they call your name, and you're typically done in 10-15 minutes. COVID: They have COVID friendly pen protocols whereby new and used pens are separated. Hand sanitizer is also right under the payment portal device. Well on the way up there were two women walking behind us at a very very close rate. We almost passed the spot trying to get away from them but guess what, they were going to the same place. When we walked in we could barely check in because these same two women were right on our heels...like really. Anyhoo, the place was busy however the process was quick. I used to like this place but recently has gone down hill. I have had 2 waxers that have both left due to the poor management. I recently tried Mina and enjoyed Mina. Manager is rude and will just CANCEL your appointment the day of without any notice. He will talk and not listen to anything that you have to say and attempt to say that it is "company policy." A seriously bad experience can ruin a place for you even if you're a regular at a business. This is what happened to me. I'm usually satisfied with the service I get with them, but this was NOT the case and I will not be returning. I came in and clearly stated I was here for a BIKINI and eyebrow wax. I wish I knew and asked the name for the person who did my wax. I was led to a room for the bikini first, but after a few minutes I realized she was doing a Brazilian. She claimed she didn't hear me ask for a bikini and that "Brazilian is better anyway." While she finished with the service I didn't ask for, there were few instances in which she didn't rip of the wax right away and it took two times for her to remove the wax. It was painful. She then took me out and proceeded with my eyebrow wax and I noticed it hurt much more than usual and she again did not remove the wax all at once but instead taut at the wax and ripped it off within two tries. In the car I felt a burning sensation and looked in the mirror, and low and behold this beautiful picture attached to my review. What. The. Heck. I have called the establishment and left my name and number for the manager to call me back. Has been 24 hours without a call/text and I'd say this is a reflection of what they think of their customers view on their business. So long as they get the money, right? I got my upper lip threaded. The entire experience was terrible. Firstly, they have a $10 minimum charge free. Otherwise you'll have to pay cash. As soon as I got in I was bombarded with questions when I just needed a minute to review the services. I sat down and the lady threading me was completely inattentive. They were talking the whole time and she barely acknowledged me or asked if I was on and or needed to take a breaks as the upper lip is extremely sensitive and painful. The thread they use in unnecessarily rough and abrasive. She used too much pressure and cut my upper lip area. It's is a small nick on my upper lip. After leaving my upper lip feels sore and raw, as if I have rope burn. The entire experience was bad from the moment I walked in and I will not return. read more

I would go here for the rest of my life if I was staying in Atlanta. As an Indian woman, I feel very comfortable with all the Indian ladies working here. Let's break it down-- The venue: very clean, good amount of space and in a very continent location. The people: from my regular visits, I have developed lovely relationships with many of the staff members. They are very friendly and welcoming to everyone. The prices: very reasonable. I am so sick of paying 45+ for Brazilians, and it's 35 here. Their full body package is amazing-- and it's crazy cheap if you go Monday Tuesday before 5. Let me start by saying, this rating is a reflection of my experience with my waxer today. I've been coming to this location since late 2018 and have always had a fine experience. I have been getting waxes on and off for the past six years but I've always been super jumpy whenever I get them done. The person I normally go to is so sweet and talks me through the process even though she knows it's not my first time, just to make me feel more comfortable and I've always really appreciated that. I let the girl who was doing my wax today that I'm typically really jumpy and get kind of nervous because I really hate this process. She told me I should just distract myself so I went to YouTube and started watching a random episode of the simple life. Obviously when you're tense and nervous your body naturally sweats. I guess she was upset because I was sweaty and I kept flinching so she was visibly annoyed and kind of made a rude comment about me that just left me feeling very uncomfortable. Because her energy was off it made me more nervous and obviously more tense, way more than I've ever been. The entire time she was doing my work she just seemed bothered by me and I literally didn't say anything the whole time and because she was so rude I was so uncomfortable. At the end for check out I was contemplating whether I should leave a tip or not (I am that person that always leaves a tip no matter what I always try to leave something), but just because I felt so uneasy and uncomfortable during the wax, I decided against it and she just kind of handed me my card back and turned away. It's kind a hard to explain but you know when someone is annoyed by you or has an attitude so he just left a really bad taste in my mouth. She did great work but because of her attitude it just felt like it wasn't even worth it. like I said this rating is totally for this one waxer this one time.I've never had any issues going to this location at all. I have been getting my eyebrows done here for well over a year. I do not trust anyone else in my face to do my eyes brows. They're located across from Ponce City. Parking is crazy on the weekends due to TJ Maxx and Whole Foods being in the same area . Especially on holiday weekends. You're usually in and out in less than 30 minutes if you go during the weekend during the noonday hours. They are very precise. They shape well. Eyebrow threading is $8. If you get that and tint it's somewhere around $25. The tint lasts for about 2 weeks. I've done it twice and I enjoy it. I also get upper lip threading. It lasts me for 3 weeks, in the cold months I could go 4 weeks. Definitely would recommend this shop for waxing, threading, and other beauty needs!! read more
