After wearing my Costco hearing aids for five years, one of the devices fell out of my ear and I don't know where. So I decided to give Miracle Ear a try. Chris greeted me upon arrival and immediately made me feel like home. He offered me a fresh hot coffee and I told him my dilemma. He asked me some questions to determine exactly what my needs were, and he then gave me a hearing test absolutely free. It took about 45 minutes for the test. I have never had such a thorough hearing test. He then explained in detail my results and gave me options for solutions. I had no idea how bad my left ear was. No wonder I keep the TV sound up to 70. He gave me a set of hearing aids to take home on a trial basis. I was absolutely blown away at the sounds I was missing out on.. there was no pressure, just great friendly service. I went back and ordered a pair, and he gave me a pair to wear until mine come in..and I love the fact they are made in the USA. Meeting with Darin and having him perform the necessary tests, to my husband, was a wonderful experience. He not only explained all the parts of the ear and their function, but also how the ears and our brains work together. It was extremely informative. My father, a retired judge, asked that I post this review for him: "Those of us who endure impaired hearing have profited from the recent increase in hearing aid instrument proficiency. Frankly, most hearing aids, from reputable manufacturers, are excellent. But that is only half the equation. It is imperative that the provider have the knowledge and expertise, coupled with extreme patience, to properly program these instruments. After numerous purchases and mediocre results, I have found the ideal combination. Miracle Ear, located in Palm Desert, has that combination. Darin Sanden is exceptional. I have concluded that, along with extensive training, the provider must have some intuitive ability to effectively program. But it does take patience and understanding and he contains an abundance. His new assistant Jennifer is equally excellent, kind and considerate. Are there negatives? Well, sort of. You will not find Miracle Ear hearing aids the cheapest. (Of course cost is important, but hearing health, resulting in increased enjoyment of life, is the primary concern.) And Miracle Ear does offer a wide range of options that will accommodate anyone's budget. Secondly, the word is out. They are getting extremely popular. However the office manager, Carole, possibly the nicest person you'll ever encounter, will work patiently and diligently to fit your schedule. My mom was adamant she didn't want a hearing aid for years. At 95 years old, she finally agreed. We set an appointment and from the first visit, the entire staff was knowledgeable, professional and absolutely wonderful. They treat us like family. What a great experience and great staff. I got checked out with a hearing test and was convinced I would be walking out of their office with a hearing aid. Lo and behold, I learned my hearing wasn't perfect, but in fact, I wasn't a good candidate for a hearing aid as of now. Do yourself a favor. Get your hearing checked out hear (see what I did there) without a need to sell everybody that walks in the door. They will be honest and trustworthy with your diagnosis. Went with a friend and we both got the free hearing test. Was shown the the different hearing aids and prices. I could not afford even the least expensive one. Our credit was checked and approve. Was told I could apply to the Miracle Ear foundation and they would pay for the #2 aids the second one up from the cheapest one. At second appt. was presented with we're going to put you in the #3 aids at $3,000. Reminded him I could not afford hearing aids. The foundation only pays for the #2 cheaper aids. He then told me the #2 aid was now more expensive than the #3 aids. He gave me the foundation application information. He knew my yearly income and I was okay'ed for financing. To get the foundation hearing aids, one has to make 24,000 per year or less and not be approved for financing. My income and good credit absolutely disqualified me from the foundation. And he should have known that. Bait and switch, hard sell and not knowing the correct information. All of it bad. I do not recommend them. This business doesn't deserve any stars. read more

I totally agree with a Bob J.  My left hearing aid went out today and I just now found out about their closing.  Why didn't they give us notice about their closing all of their stores here in the desert?  Totally uncalled for!!  I spent lots of time on the phone trying to get some satisfaction about my situation and seems like the other stores knew about this.  I'm wondering now why they didn't let us know that we have to travel 36 miles to service our hearing aids. I will be doing that because I have a warranty that is good until 9/12/21, and the other hearing places here in the desert advised me to do so as they couldn't repair the aid without costing me. They should take off all of the 5 star ratings that people wrote before they went out of business as I'm sure those people will be writing the same article as Bob J. and Cl. Miracle Ear is always there when I am in need of their help for my mom's hearing aids. The other day I needed the little cone that fits into the ear. If this happens to you, bring in both hearing aids, there are many different cones and sizes. Today we needed to have the clarity adjusted. They are always most helpful. read more

Charles Erickson is a master of hearing aids. When I went to Miracle-Ear I was very happy with the wait time, hardly any, and the caliber of service. I was tested and received excellent service. When I went back to have them adjusted for my use, Vanessa Barrera was very helpful and even cleaned my hearing aids. I cannot recommend Miracle-Ear more highly. read more
