I used Miracle plumbing a couple of years ago and was very pleased. I left them a 5-star review at the time which I have since deleted. Lee is now front man for this place. Don't work with him. He charged me $750 (cash only) to install two a toilets, one of which leaked into the apartment below and refuse to stand behind their work. I asked several times for the name of their insurance company, but I don't believe they have one. To add to the insult, he demanded extra money for reinstalling my old toilet back into the bathroom. Lee fixed two issue in my home and I will call him if there is a third. He first came out to clear a clog in my kitchen sink. He ended up replacing an old degraded pipe and now it works better than it ever had before. The second problem was with a toilet that would not refill the top tank after flushing. Two plumbers arrived to help me check for the source of flooding in my basement. They verified that everything was working and it must have just been rainwater. I thanked them. They left. They returned saying the boss demands $375 and if I paid by check I had to write it out to an individual's name. I wonder how much of this is for the workers, who had to wade through a few deep flooded basements on that busy day, and how much for the guy dispatching workers. I needed a plumber to remove and replace clogged bathtub cartridges. I've had this done before in the same bathtub and it cost about $700. We turned off the water to the building and the guys took the old cartridges to the store and got new ones and proceeded to tell me the price would be $1,800. And they no longer accept credit cards so they just expected me to have this in my bank account. I talked them down quite a bit but still feel like I was ripped off and scammed. read more

When I asked if the price was negotiable, they said that it was not financially feasible for them to come down in price and that it was a fair quote. When I declined their services, they trimmed the quote in half. I still refused. They proceeded with a service charge and added an additional surcharge for having come out after 6pm. I reminded them that they were over an hour late and were extending me the surcharge for being late. They did demand a check for which I never got a receipt. I really didn't feel comfortable at all. Lee told me he could come in 20 minutes even though it was a holiday and with no extra surcharge. He texted me when he was nearby and promptly arrived. Called Miracle plumbing after dealing w/ some other shady contractor. Lee said he could arrive same day but late in evening. He called numerous times w/ updates on his arrival. Got to my house around 7pm looking worn out from a hard day's work. Nevertheless, he assessed my kitchen plumbing problem and told me what needed to be done. He even ran to Home Depot just in case I needed a new garbage disposal. Turns out I didn't need a new g.d. (very honest to let me know this). Took him a couple of hours of very grimy, messy and stinky work. Look liked he was performing surgery. :-) He fixed it! No wonder they call themselves "Miracle"! Kitchen sink drains well. Had Miracle plumbing out to do a relatively simple job. Walked in the house with dirty muddy wet feet and didn't think anything of it. The two low life's they sent over were only interested in prolonging the job and for what they did made a complete mess. Didn't clean up and took the liberty of washing their dirty tools in my shower. They were there a little overran hour. What they charged was OUTRAGEOUS !! I couldn't believe it. They had no idea what the bill was and had to call their boss. Nothing was itemized nor was a receipt given to me at the end of the job . Completely unprofessional. I was a scammed .
