Stay far away from ROC's. ROC and his team are extremely unprofessional, do not know how to communicate, and should not be in the customer service business. I had used them a couple times before but will not be using them going forward, and neither should anyone else. I called them about a leak last year, which they initially struggled to locate. Understandable, but the technicians insisted that we kept needing to cut holes in the drywall to locate it. After 4 separate holes had been cut, we asked if they had a camera they could use to identify the location of the leak in the stack to prevent further unnecessary holes (since we'd have to repair the drywall ourselves or hire another professional). They (nonsensically) took this as us being difficult and wanting to cancel the job. We explained this to both the technicians and to ROC himself before they indicated only one employee had a camera and scheduled a later appointment for that technician to come out. The leak was subsequently identified in the middle of the bathroom wall (there was a crack in the cast iron plumbing stack), resulting in about 3 ft of the stack in the middle of the wall being replaced. We were annoyed about having multiple holes in multiple bathrooms to replace after the fact, but were happy with the plumbing work itself and were happy to have it done. Fast forward to this year, now we are in the midst of a bathroom renovation. After the demo of the floor and shower walls was complete, it became apparent that we would need to replace the shower valve and likely the toilet flange given its age. Though I had not been 100% satisfied with our earlier experience, I decided to give ROC's another chance because we do our best to support local business and because they had knowledge of our home, the plumbing, and had done work in the very same bathroom before (the same bathroom they replaced 3 ft of the stack in last year starting at the middle of the wall up). We call to have a technician come out to replace the shower valve and look at the toilet flange. They schedule us for about 5 days later, but when the technician came out they were unprepared to replace the valve, explaining that someone had called off that day and they would just be giving estimates. Our understanding was that the valve was going to be replaced that day (and that we'd get a quote on the flange), so this was disappointing and set our renovation back. Nevertheless, we asked for quotes to replace the valve, the flange, and an alternative quote to replace the plumbing from the flange to the point in the center of the wall that we had replaced last year. We are told the office will reach out to us with quotes and to schedule the work. This is on a Thursday morning. We don't hear anything and reach out the next day (Friday) given that we are eager to get the work done so the renovation can continue. We're told that the technician had not submitted the paper work yet and that ROC would call us with quotes on Monday. We found this a little inconvenient but agreed to wait for his call Monday. Monday came and went with no call. I don't like feeling like we're chasing someone down to give them our business but given that they had already been out to our house once, we called them again to follow up about the quotes. ROC seemed surprised to hear from us and indicated that the technician had still not submitted their paperwork (technician came out Thursday morning, it's the following Tuesday afternoon). He later calls back with an unprofessional attitude after speaking with the technician stating a couple numbers while stating they cannot give a quote on replacing the pipe from the flange to the center of the wall where they replaced before without us opening the wall. We reiterate that we understand they cannot give an exact number and ask if they could give us a general ball park idea or range of what something like that costs given the length that would be replaced and that they worked in the bathroom on the plumbing behind that wall before. ROC got increasingly agitated and nasty, stating (1) that his technician "was there" (as if we also weren't in our home when we were initially asking for the quote), (2) that he can't give us a quote (which again, we were asking for a general range and repeatedly reiterated it was for our knowledge going into this and not to hold him to a number), (3) that they don't know what it looks like behind the wall (again, see point 2 above, but also, we reminded him that this is false and they actually do know what it looks like because they literally did work behind this very wall last year), and (4) that we should find a different company that can give a quote without opening the wall and go with them instead. Given his attitude, his intentional obtuseness, and unprofessionalism, we thanked him for his time and confirmed we would be going elsewhere for this and future plumbing work. This is a review of 2 jobs by Roc's Plumbing & Sewer. They cleared a drain line to our ejector pump in the basement and did a good job at a fair price. The bill was around $200. Two months later, I called them to clear a line between the house and the septic tank. I removed the septic tank cover and opened the access to the clean-out in the basement. I had run a steel snake in the line but was unable to clear the obstruction 25 feet from the tank and 10 feet from the clean-out. With a power auger, he decided to enter the line where it connects to the septic tank. It's hard to see so showed him exactly where that is located. I was very happy with everything until he handed us the bill for nearly $500. That is ridiculous. I paid the bill and called to speak to the owner about how they arrived at that price. They never returned my call. read more

We had a lot of things breakdown from our toilet leaking, issue with our battery back up, gas leak and faucet replaced and each was repaired without any issues. We had George, Mike and Chris here so far and they all do such great work and leave the area spotless. A plumber from this company came to my home and as near as I can tell did the work requested adequately; the work was done 6 days ago. The concern is what Roc, the owner, did with my personal information. On good Friday, less than 24 hours after plumbing work was done, I received a call from a man who stated he was Roc's son-in-law. He stated that he was contacted by Roc and told that I had work done and that I wanted to sell my property. He stated that he covers the area that I live in. He was frankly hustling me for the listing of my home. I was shocked. I had only mentioned to the plumber who came to my home that I was considering putting my property up for sale in the context of only repairing what was absolutely needed. But, Roc disclosed my personal information to his son-in-law to he could make money off me with a real estate listing. I told Roc's family member that I provided my contact information for the purposes of the work and gave no permission to release it to anyone: I told him to delete all information of mine that he had. I am wondering how much information about my property was disclosed to the son-in-law by Roc. I told him what Roc did was completely unethical. Their schedule was already full the week I needed service, but he was still willing to fit me in when I told him I'll be out of town for a while starting at the end of the week. His crew was amazing and skilled. They got my old stainless steel tub drain pipe, a faulty faucet water intake valve, and a rusted old faucet replaced. Our home had a few little problems with random rust issues and broken parts, as well as dripping issues, so we called Roc's and they were able to come next day (today)! The plumber Gino was very nice and efficient and he did a wonderful job fixing and replacing broken and rusted parts in our two upstairs faucets and one downstairs faucet, and well as our outside hose. He finished 4 jobs in an hour and it was apparent he knee exactly the problem and what he was doing in every situation. We wanted a new faucet in our kitchen, and he had the exact one we were thinking in his truck. Gino was clean and respectful, and he made sure that he put on his shoe covers every time he came into the house. We called Roc's plumbing to clear out a slow drain. They let us know when they they were bon the way and arrived on time. After introducing themselves (Luis and Jesus) they asked what issues we were having with the drain. They protected the work area and got to work. We had a gas leak(!) and Roc's came to the rescue in fixing an old, old leaking valve as well as a second (!) leak. We had two outside water spigots that were about a century old, lousy to screw a hose to; both replaced and one got a new shut-off valve in a convenient small space, easy to access. My family had an emergency where our floor drain in our basement started overflowing with dirty water. After trying to wet-vac and snake the drain myself, I realized that the issue was the ejector pump outside had stopped working in the catch basin and the brown water level had reached that of the outlet pipe coming from the house (yes, absolute nightmare). I finally determined this around 1:00AM, and knew that there was nothing I could personally do to fix this; just had to tell the family that no toilets could be flushed, no sinks could be used, etc., which is NOT an easy thing to do! I called to leave a message that night and they actually texted me back within 10min to say they would be out in the morning! They showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the issue which I had suspected myself. To my delight, they had the exact model ejector pump in their work van with them and were able to start fixing the problem immediately. They were professional, worked quickly, and replaced some of the PVC pipes and check valves just to be safe. Moreover, they ripped out a bunch of roots that had started creeping through the seams and cracks in the basin so I wouldn't have an issue down the road with overgrown roots attacking and clogging the new pump. They gave me a quote that we agreed upon beforehand and that was the same amount I made out the check for afterward. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. A neighbor recommended them to me. We bought a new house and had sewer gas leaking into our basement.
