After three months of emails, calls, and scanning all required probate information, the final test was to ask my mother questions about account activity in an account to which she had no access. After being unable to answer the questions, they forced me to drive my 80-year-old mother two hours to the closest branch to show the same information and close the account. Lisa, our final phone representative, was rude and uncaring. This lack of support after the death of a loved one placed my family in a horrible situation to endure.

PNC offered close to 9%, Allegacy 6% and Truist 4%. I have done similar with other credit needs and PNC is never even close. I suggest you shop around. Oh, and they closed all of the PNC locations here besides this one. I'm from Pittsburgh - that's why I had PNC. High rates are only good for them. High rates do nothing for customers. High rates take advantage of your lack of willingness to shop around when borrowing money. I closed all of my accounts and moved on.

Slow to load and set up in a calendar system...yes, a calendar system. Maybe the people of PNC need to consult a calender to know how much money they have, but that's completely counter intuitive to anyone with a working brain. Oh and they don't deal with pesky nomenclature like "Checking" and "Savings," as used by the entire financial system for decades. Instead I had a "Virtual Wallet," and three different places I had to check for my balance to know where my account stood. This is the sad attempt at PNC Marketing to be edgy and cool, and as a marketer myself it's embarrassing. I don't need a virtual wallet or a piggy bank gif when I'm checking my balance. I just want to see, ya know, my balance. So I am happily taking my money over to Wells Fargo. The branch on West Fourth St. especially is full of friendly faces and I actually enjoy spending time there, knowing my business is appreciated.

The only issue I had with them was over a year ago almost we did some business and they called my husband at home to ask him. What kind of work do I do because they didn't know me they've always seen my Husband and I felt that was a very disrespectful act after we completed lots of paperwork there to handle a business transaction. I felt that they could contacted me if it made a difference, which it did not make a difference for them knowing what kind of work I do. I felt racially profiled. They've even called my husband to verify a check he a given to me to cash to assure that he had given me a check and I wasn't stealing from my husband I don't know if that was security reasons or what... Each time, the experience has been less than great, honestly not even good. On the first visit, the branch was pretty empty, with/ no one in the teller line. I asked to do a wire transfer and was told by the man at the teller window that no one could assist me then and that I would need to wait on the branch manager, who was assisting another customer. I asked again to clarify that the only person in the entire branch able to do a wire transfer is the branch manager. I was told yes, and the gentleman asked for my account information. I provided my corporate account with a substantial amount of funds, and within minutes, the same gentleman who said no one but the branch manager was available made himself available and completed the wire transfer. Wow, a miracle, right? On the next visit, I asked to use the restroom, and the same gentleman told me they didn't have one. I asked for clarification that there was no restroom for customer use, just in case they thought I was someone off the street. He said no. I had to the. Go next door to Dunkin Donuts, use the restroom, and decide if I wanted to return to that branch. Not only did I NOT return, I was exploring other financial institutions to bank with. Unfortunately, because of poor customer service, Truist will loose a few million. For some reason, I don't think they care. I've tried a few other branches, and maybe my expectations are too high. I doubt it. I went to Truliant, and the customer service was terrific. They even let me use their restroom. The branch on Robinhood was so much better. You get a much higher interest rate on savings here compared to the regional banks and/or the national banks.
