You get a much higher interest rate on savings here compared to the regional banks and/or the national banks. Yet OZK refuses to refund 3 months service fees! I opened a CD account and OZK required a checking account for the highest interest rate. my branch manager and Lisa the GM or VP in Raleigh have done absolutely nothing. I want to close the account but am told not to and they can't refund service charges from the fraud????Do not open any checking or savings account with them- especially tied to a CD rate. The stupidity and negligence in banking practices needs a lawsuit. My family is closing accounts because the illegal charges and pathetic imbeciles in their management refuses to call me back, correct this and the horrible customer service needs to clean house. I spent 20 minutes trying to operate the automated system to no avail. They just kept circling back to the automated system when asking for a representative. This is just THE WORST for people like me who work 40 hours a week during the same hours of operation as the bank.

Absolutely the worst banking institution I have ever dealt with in my life. They held funds…read moretotaling approximately $6,500 (in the form of a cashier's check from a local bank) for 7 business days which was 12 days total. When I tried to wire transfer money, I was limited to $2,000 daily and $6,000 monthly - and was told they would raise my limits once I proved my honesty with them (my debit card says "customer since 1994" - if it takes more than 20 years to prove your honesty with a bank, then I'm probably never going to have much luck proving my honesty with the with the institution). The bank manager was, in my opinion, untruthful with me concerning federal banking laws relating to clearance of checks. What a terrible experience!
