This a nice little over look park with a nice view of Miramar Lake. It's small but does offer restrooms, a drinking fountain, a covered picnic area, and a playground area. It does not have a large grass area for sports, but large enough for the little ones to run around. I did like the wildlife information stands with information regarding local wild life. I did notice that the fences are in need of repair and painting. The park offers a good size parking lot. read more

Kinda aggressive bees here, they were at the sprinkler. The restroom door doesn't lock. It was difficult to the toilet to flush and no soap. But some little tables to sit at if you wanted to picnic here and a lbit of a breeze from the lake. Also a little play area for children. read more

This park is tucked away on top the hill overlooking the lake. There isn't a ton of parking, but there isn't an issue looking for parking at all. Most of the parking is shaded which is a plus. Clean bathroom facilities. Park is relatively quiet as well. Small walking sidewalk around & through the park. There are also a couple of concrete picnic tables, all shaded. Two separate playgrounds: one is for ages 2-5 which consists of a seesaw & 2 swings. The other side of the playground has a bit more to offer with some swings, monkey bars, areas to climb, a slide! Also love that the playground is soft sand. We sat in the grass with some toys & a blanket & enjoyed the morning weather. Super quiet park & my toddler son absolutely loved his time. read more

This is a small, hidden gem in the Scripps Ranch area. It is well-kept, has a playground, benches, tables, grass, & a nice view of Lake Miramar. It's mostly a chill spot to relax. It will take less than 5 minutes to walk around it. The parking lot is small. It has a couple of handicap stalls, and then maybe 10 other stalls. It closes at dusk so FYI. However, if you're looking to get a nice walk in, you can park here then walk down a nearby trail to Lake Miramar, which is located to the left of Miro Circle off of Scripps Ranch Blvd. Basically, you walk out of this park, turn left and walk until you see a trail on your left side! You can follow it to Lake Miramar to get your steps in. Highly recommend! read more

There's a seesaw here! More parks should have those, they're really fun! :) This is a small park with a beautiful view of Miramar Lake. There's grass for the kids to run around in, and a small playground for kids 5-12 including 2 swings. There's also 2 swings and the seesaw in the 2-5 year old area, but no play structure. There's also not much shade here, so I wouldn't come here on a hot day. read more

My daughter wanted to go to a park nearby so this was close to where we were. As we pulled up, there's a small parking lot up front. There were two restrooms located in front near the parking lot. As we walked into the park, there was a few tables underneath a gazebo. Very nice and clean. I decided to sit at the bench underneath the gazebo to take a rest since I was driving all over the place. My daughter ran in the kids playground. There was a swing set and a play set that had two slides. It's a fairly small park and luckily it wasn't busy. There were only a few people there which was nice. I typically don't like crowds when I'm trying to relax and get some fresh air. This location seems secluded as it's hidden in a residential area. I'd definitely come back to enjoy the scenery here. A cool park to hang out at. read more

Sometimes you just gotta get away from the hustle and bustle of the city... This park is my favorite hidden gem. I often take my two pups here to keep them entertained. It sits high on top of a hill and is easy to miss if you drive by too quickly; best keep your eyes peeled. It's also a great little spot to eat a picnic lunch and admire the view of Miramar Lake in the distance. Great for photography novices like myself. I often go here to clear my head or gather inspiration...very serene. Except for once...there was one incident where a little girl screaming "PUPPPPYYYYY!!!!" terrorized my poor dogs which made me almost not want to go back. Almost. Gotta love kids though! read more

This park has a great view of Miramar Lake and a pretty great view of San Diego. I say a pretty great view of San Diego since from this park you can see out in the distance on a clear day the Coronado Islands, Point Loma, Tijuana, Cowles and Fortunate mountain which in my opinion is pretty cool! It's interesting to see it from a different perspective. This park is small with one little walking roundabout. It is mainly good for taking the kiddos to entertain themselves in the play area. There are also a few gazebos to have a small party or enjoy a nice picnic. Parking is limited but the park itself is clean so it is very pleasant. Would come here again when the kiddo is a bit bigger and would enjoy and appreciate the playground much more. Don't get confused about some of the reviews which may have mistaken this park for Miramar Lake instead! Not the park to go to if you want to get a walking/running workout in unless you want to do that in place. read more

Love this park. It helps that it's walking distance from my house. It has a great view -- on a clear day you can see past Coronado. Good place to view 4th of July fireworks if you don't want to deal with the downtown crowds. This park is beautiful. I took my boyfriend here to see the view, and we were not disappointed! I wishhh the park was bigger--had more grass or something--but it isn't. So for what it is--a small park, great for neighborhood families--it is TOP NOTCH. The equipment is in good condition and the view is STELLAR for the area. If the park were bigger, or if I lived in the area, I would frequent this place because it is really lovely and has an above average view for a park! Side story: There was a kid playing on the playground and I totally thought it was a little girl. She said hi and something something, somehow I said "she" to her, and she said "Nooo I'm a boy!" It's a tiny little park, with playsets and some picnic tables. There's no BBQ stove but a couple hot coal disposals, so bring your own grill. There's a small lot for about 17 cars, which closes at sunset. There's also a cute water fountain for the doggies. Ha! There's sand in it and my dog is sometimes too snobby to drink it. The view of this park is amazing, u can see point loma, Coronado, downtown skyline, utc/la Jolla, and even the mountains of TJ. There is a gazebo that u can rent for small parties through the city of San Diego. The park has a decent size playground with soft matting. Two swing areas and a see saw. When I was walking Saturday Morning, the city janitor was out cleaning the restrooms. This is a very nicely keep park in Scripps that lives up to his name, Overlooking Beautiful San Diego. Parking is limited, parking for 10-15 cars max. There is no off street parking bc it's sits parallel to a busy Scripps Ranch Blvd. For u avid hikers/walkers/runners, this place has a small trail that connects to Miramar Lake which is an added plus. And for Mommies, this is a nice park to hangout with your kiddos. read more

This is a very small park located up on a hill with a great view of Lake Miramar down below as well as the rest of San Diego past it. One of the informational plaques actually says you can see Mexico on a clear day but I haven't fortunately enough to experience that yet. The park itself consists of a small parking lot, playground and benches. And for Pokemon people, there's 2 stops and a gym. The parking lot is gated and closes off at sunset. It's a cool place to chill but you probably won't be finding yourself spending a long time here. read more

I've been going to this neighborhood park for a number of years since living out here in Scripps Ranch. It overlooks beautiful lake Miramar and has its own running and exercise trail. There are picnic tables overlooking this beautiful scenery. There is a playground for children there as well. Great place for families with their pets and children to go and spend an afternoon in a scenic spot where you can get exercise and have fun out in the open air. Tiny unnoticeable park in Scripps Ranch. It has an okay view, but it is very windy up there. The place is good to have lunch at. I would not want to bring a lot of friends for BBQ there. As far as I remember, the park doesn't have any fire pits. Also, since it is in a family oriented community, there might be a lot of children during the day :( read more

Looking to kill some time before our flight home leaving from San Diego and found this park on yelp. Parking wasn't an issue for us because it was like 2pm on a Wednesday, but I can see how it would be a pain during the weekend or nice afternoons. We sat under one of the picnic areas and just relaxed in the open air for a bit. I was hoping for a better view of the lake, but the shrubbery was starting to creep up, blocking the view. I'm not totally complaining because I'm all for green space, just know that you can't get a great view of the lake unless they trim it up a bit. read more

A small hidden treasure of a park overlooking Miramar Lake. I would say Ideal for smaller children ages 8 and under (older children may get bored quickly). The play equipment and park is clean. Outstanding view, one cannot resist to take pictures! The park is located at the very end of Mira Mesa blvd and entering Scripps Ranch...up the hill a bit. Tried to locate the trail that leads to Miramar Lake but couldn't find it, however it would be an extremely long hike. I can see how parking could be a problem. I went on an off peek time in the middle of the week while on Thanksgiving vacation. My 8 year old son and I were the only visitors at the park that afternoon (around 3:30pm). For date night, this would be a great stop for a picnic or coffee before heading over to the Mira Mesa movie theater before sunset. read more
