My son attended El Presidio for 8 months. It started out chaotic and only got worse…read more I never knew what was going on. My son seemed to always be with a different teacher. I heard other parents complain that theirs were as well. When I asked how his day was, pretty much all I got was fine. No details whatsoever. The school promised there would be a binder for each child so parents could look and see what and how they did during the day. That never materialized. They said we would have parent/teacher conferences, but we never did. Once I was told at 6:15 on a Thursday evening that his class was having a party the following day and I needed to bring fruit snacks. I was told there would be a field trip, but there wasn't. The owners declared that having one code to open the front door is a security problem and they would be giving each family their own code. That never happened. Delivery of school pictures was delayed repeatedly and every time I asked about it, I got a different answer. No one seems to know what's going on. Once, I dropped off a Christmas gift for my son's teacher. Apparently, the front desk staff opened the candy and gave the card to one of the kids. The teacher never received either. Even worse, the front desk staff told me she received them and I later found out from her that she did not. At pick up one day, a teacher told me my son did well in a different class that day. I asked the front desk staff if my son was moving to Ms. Sophia's class. She told me Ms. Sophia left with Ms. LaKisha, the director. That was the first I heard there was a new director. Weeks later, I still never met the new director. Two people at the school said the change was permanent, but two parents told me it was temporary. Ms. LaKisha later told me it was temporary and Ms. Sophia was back the next day. Again, no one seems to know what's going on. All of a sudden one week they took an extra $8 out of my account. I called and asked them to fix it. They said tuition went up. I had no notice of that. The following week, they took out the original amount again. I still don't know what tuition I was supposed to be paying. The first two sets of spare clothes I provided disappeared completely. The school gave me a credit to reimburse me for the loss, but it was still a hassle. After that, the director put his clothes in the front office so they wouldn't disappear again. Apparently, she didn't tell the teacher though, because one day I found him wearing a wet t-shirt and bathing suit at the end of the day. After asking multiple teachers why, I was finally told he had an accident during nap time and the teacher didn't know where his spare clothes were. My son came home with a big scrape on his forehead. No one could tell me how it happened. Another parent told me her child had unexplained injuries. The school is owned by Small Miracles. The only contact information they have listed online is an e-mail address. I e-mailed my concerns to that address and the e-mail bounced back because the e-mail box was full. I found e-mail addresses for two Small Miracles employees in my orientation materials and e-mailed them. They never responded. I asked two different people for an e-mail address where I could reach Small Miracles. They never provided one. No one was willing to address my concerns. But when I e-mailed the same people to tell them I was moving my son to another pre-school, I got a response within 5 minutes that simply said "Thank you." Talk about customer service. On my son's last day, they couldn't find his sunscreen or bug spray, which they were supposed to be using on him. They also couldn't find his bag. What a mess.

They them transitioned into El Presidio Day School they changed directors and every other week it seemed that my son had a different teacher. My son had constant terrible rashes on his bottom because they failed to put the aquaphore I told them he needs every diaper change I just found out today from his teacher that used to work there (he had moved schools since then) they had failed giving him rice milk even tho he has a milk allergy. My son was coming home always whiney throwing fits and picking up bad habits. Yes he is a toddler and will throw fits but I know when my child is acting different. They had set up cameras in the day care and I'm so glad they did. The teachers had no control over the classroom I see children standing on bookshelves and children fighting with each other while they're is obviously a teacher in sight. I screen shot these photos. Also saw on the video a child running out of a classroom and the teacher running after the child while another child is left on the changing table! I wish I was making this up but I'm not. The teachers would not watch their mouth around the children my dad would over hear them cussing when he'd pick up my son. These people are lazy and my childs development was not improving and his attitude was getting worse. I'm so lucky to have found a new daycare that my son is learning and growing and his attitude is so much better. The state has been to this place 5 times so far with all these complaints. Please do not take your children here.

I paid for the time he was there plus also paid an additional $280 2 weeks advance, 2 weeks he did not go since I pulled him out of the school. They're refusing to give me a refund because I was to have given a 2 week withdrawal notice despite the fact my son was only enrolled there for 2.5 weeks, so that doesn't make sense. I can POSSIBLY understand a company's point of view but as a customer, why are you keeping my money you didn't earn? The facility didn't care for my son those days therefore shouldn't free pocket MY $280. There was always different teachers in his class, never knew them by name, once there were two new teachers in there together in the evening (I'd never seen them before, they were wearing matching polo yellow shirts) and one was complaining about how she is sick (it was obvious too), probably why my son got sick. So if you're testing the waters with new child care facilities keep that in mind especially if it doesn't end up working out!

About 6 months ago they started using an app and I received regular updates and photos about how the day was going - loved this! The prior directors, Jessica and Anissa, and the current director, Misty, have all been great and have happily answered any question I had or engaged in a conversation if I had any concerns. Our childcare needs have changed now, but if we need a daycare again, OST will be at the top of our list for both care and value.

They will cover up and obscure wrongdoing at your child's expense. They speak poorly of the children and their parents when being in no condition to look down on anyone. This institution is not a childcare development center; rather, it is a petty fiefdom that is lorded over by individuals who are lazy in the realm of physical fitness, emotional development, and general ethics. If you care at all about the well-being of your child and their capacity to develop into a productive adult that contributes positively to humanity, do not send your child here. As a strong believer in evidence and empiricism when visiting the institution, I encourage you to observe the individuals and environment for yourself to verify that what is being claimed here is true. For your child's sake heed this warning. There are other institutions with ethical, knowledgeable, and motivated staff that will enrich your child and put them on the path towards success.

However, outside the superficial, Britcha is anything but. The teachers in each classroom are very well supported. Each usually has one or two class aids. Additionally, students from the UA come to get some of their teaching hours there. They have a very welcoming environment and refer to children in gender neutral terms as "friends." They also have referrals for AZEip if your child needs it. This is NOT a money run business like you find at places like Adventure time with inconsistent staff. They even have rates for government employees. It took us 3 years to find the best place for our kiddo. Don't pass up Brichta without checking it out first. It is truly a west side gem. In addition to their regular curriculum they also offer enrichment class! During the day!!! While your little is already at school! Music! Sign Language! Spanish! Soccer! These are taught by actual instructors and coaches.

Now I'm more productive at work because I'm feeling confident in his care. I pick up on very subtle things. Today I was told our baby is always happy and will start to whine only when he's getting hungry or needs a change but he never cries. This tells me they're on top of his care as we are at home. The other teachers were welcoming and constantly working hard to give the children a fabulous experience. Heather was the manager at the time and she ensured that my onboarding to the school was smooth. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they don't have a location in my area of southern Arizona...and should!
