Playing on the play ground at children's learning adventure

The teachers are amazing. My grandsons teacher goes above and beyond with the kids every time I am there I see her interacting with them and always happy! They spend quality time getting to know the kids one by one. The director values my concerns and makes sure if anything happens to contact me and let me know. I have posted plenty of reviews but for some reason can never see them! I recommend this center 5 stars above and beyond!

Randy is the most unprofessional director. I would not recommend taking your children here. The staff is super rude and unwelcoming

When snowbirds are here you can't really get into classes ( most are great) unless you set alarms for yourself and sign up a couple of days ahead. The place skews older and I although there are high school kids there in the afternoons it's not age diverse. Plus side is it's very forgiving and a great place to start weight lifting and more. There are paid programs for that and I think that would be worth it. I belong to a few other places so it's not a problem. I really like yin yoga there and trx . If this is going to be your main place you will be frustrated.

I discovered the Tucson Jewish Community Center after they hosted the Hot Cocoa Run 5K (hands down one of the funnest, most vendor-packed races I've ever done ), and let me tell you--walking into the JCC feels like stepping into a whole other world. This place is HUGE and has everything. They gifted a week pass in our swag bags from 5k and I fully leaned in--and I'm so glad I did. First off, the community + programming here is next level. I got to participate in pottery and ceramics classes (SO fun and surprisingly legit), and I love that they partner with local creatives and groups. It gives the whole place a collab, community-driven feel that I'm always looking for. On the fitness side--they're not playing around. I took multiple classes, and their cycle class (aka performance ride ) was actually really solid. Great energy, great programming. I also hit a strength-based class that delivered, and the gym floor itself is super clean, spacious, and not overcrowded (major win). The crowd is also refreshingly diverse in age, which I loved--it truly feels inclusive. And can we talk about the Cafe at the J... because YES. Tons of vegan options , actually flavorful, and super affordable. Not your typical "gym cafe" situation at all. Beyond that, this place is basically a mini campus--tennis, pools, art spaces, events, rentals, and even traditional Jewish baked goods (fresh bread, hello ). They also host a TON of events--like so many it's hard to keep up--so definitely check their calendar because there's always something happening. Overall, I'd absolutely go back. Whether you're going for fitness, arts, community events, or just to explore something new in Tucson--this place is a whole experience.

If I could I'd give this place 0 stars. The front office and deck staff are rude. The instructors…read moreare inconsistent with their discipline and instructions to the children. My son is young and has a tendency to not listen. He is a quick learner but easily gets bored and wants to entertain himself. I've tried working with the staff and to communicate with them, which always got dismissed. In the beginning we had a variety of different instructors due to changes in staff or make ups. One instructor would kick my son out of class because he would go under water and play while the instructor was with other children. Others would scold him or ignore him and not provide him the same attention and instructions as the other children. Which causes unsafe conditions for my child. There was one incident where we intervened and pulled my son from class because he was not listening and the instructor was clearly overwhelmed. We recognized that our son's disruptive behavior was not ideal for the other students. The school reported us to DCS for child abuse. Parents shouldn't walk into this place in fear of being falsely reported for child abuse. My son doesn't listen. We left it to the instructors to correct and when one instructor was having a very hard time with him we intervened and pulled him from class. Somehow that counts has child abuse because we pulled him by his arm out of the pool as he tried to go under water. This place is a joke. Don't come here if you want your child to learn how to swim.

We love coach Adam for his passion and energy when teaching my daughter and improving her stroke. My daughter has learned so much from him and he helps her feel confident in her skills. Coach Cyrus has also been great as well, attentive to detail and encouraging my swimmer to improve. The facility is clean and spacious, they've added more chairs on the other side of the pool too for busier Saturdays. There are deck supervisors present who help answer any questions and can evaluate if your child is ready to level up. We miss Ash as a coach, but she have been amazing as a deck supervisor. She evaluated my son for the next level, gives constructive feedback for improvement, and takes feedback from parents. The portal is easy to use to schedule makeup classes and register for new classes when my kids level up, but even when I need to speak with staff about something, they are very friendly and helpful. I've spoken to Karen many times and she has been really great and with helping me get a class scheduled. I'm so happy to have found a wonderful swim school for my kids where they can learn to love this sport and be challenged to learn and grow each week.

I could not recommend this before/after school program any higher. At the Mesa Verde PAL Miss Tammy offers excellent science experiments all year round and we could not adore her more! My child is excited about the projects they do and the fun games they get to play. It is much more than just a place to go. The teachers who work here are committed and caring. It makes me happy to know my child has a safe and wonderful place to go to while his parents finish up work for the day. Pro-tip: for those considering STEMazzzing camp for your child, be sure to register for classes as soon as you can! The LEGO, Sharks, and Minecraft classes go quickly. They also offer Physical Education during camp including things like Crossfit for Kids, Baseball, Basketball, and Soccer.

The lady I talked to said they might not have space, asked whether I required financial aid and then "magically" found space. Roll with me for a moment. When we showed up, I asked the teacher how full they were and she said they had 8 slots left to fill. I cannot overstate how irritating it is to be profiled and have someone assume you require financial aid; but probably more importantly, though I'm reserving final judgment for drop-off tomorrow, this screening will result in little to no diversity in the classroom. I did not see any when we were there. If this matters to you as it does to me, know that I've not had bad experiences with the site director, the teachers, or even the CEP corporate employees. It's just a nasty feeling that something is not right. Though I cannot fault our interactions, I wonder would they be so compassionate to someone working in the (upper middle class) area who required financial aid to enroll their child... I'm just not so sure how I feel about this and I wanted to pen this review honestly immediately after the fact. I hope that was not their intent, and I will update the review later if anything changes about my perceptions but I think this is something to be considered. My older two were in elementary and used CEP for after-care and the experience was phenomenal. I haven't had a bad thing to say about the program or how it is run, but this really rubbed me the wrong way.
