This doctor did not have much interest in me, she had more others do work on me - I had to have a crown and didn't have dental ins. They charged me $2000 for that crown (total charge $3000!!!!). She did not give a sh$$ about the patient. I never went back because they were so biatchy! Today, 2 yrs later, the crown fell off and feeling the tooth - she chopped away at it - it is the WORST job I have ever felt in my mouth / seen in the mirror. I've had other crowns come off - there is almost 0 (zero) tooth left for reseating. She should never have been given her license. We joke, "what do you call the person who is 300th (100th, whatever) in her class in medical school ? A doctor!" So it's clear I should have done more homework and she should not be a dentist!!! I am with Richard and WISH TO GOD I HAD DONE MY DUE DILIGENCE PROPERLY. HE IS SPOT ON. I've always had a good experience at this dental office. The front desk ladies are super-friendly and thorough....from scheduling appointments or helping you understand your bill, they are awesome. Dr. Hedrick is really nice and pleasant. I don't dread going to see her! They have gas, but I never need it. Just finishing up bridgework, so I've been in this office frequently over the past 3 months. I can't wait to see my beautiful new teeth. If you need dental work, don't put it off like I did. they misled me to believe i would be covered for a checkup and teeth cleaning. I have Delta Dental and they said I was covered. They did not tell me that they were out of network and i would be paying a large portion. I asked several time and tried to make sure I was covered at 100% for the check up. They assured me i was 'covered' I ended up having to pay 200.00 of the exam visit . they knew about it, but assured me i was covered 100% of the exam, but charged over that and i was responsible . I was informed by Dr. Miranda Lacy's office my total treatment plan cost would be $1685.00. However, I was charged an additional $70.00 without discussing this me. My credit card was charged an additional $70.00 without my knowledge and without my consent. I attempted to resolve this matter with Susan at Dr. Lacy's office and she repeatedly interrupted me, talked over me, refusing to allow me to ask about the additional charges. Susan became very upset and agitated. Susan then hung up on me!!! Susan exhibited verbal bullying, immature behavior, and a lack of self control. read more

Make sure to verify your insurance coverage with your provider. Office staff said they called to verify and I was covered. Turns out I wasn't covered so I had to pay the bill out of pocket. I called the front office and they said they checked and oops I wasn't actually covered. read more

On 4/25/19, I had an appointment with Dr. Miranda Lacy to extract a molar. For whatever reason, the molar was extracted by another dentist at Dr. Miranda Lacey's dental office in Plano, TX. On 5/23/19, my regular dentist discovered a fragment of tooth still remaining where my molar had been. On 5/24/19 I called Dr Lacy's office. The receptionist Melanie, listened to my concern, and then told that the dentist who extracted my molar no longer works for Dr Lacy and furthermore, Dr Lacy is not responsible for the dental work of the other dentist. She said that if the other dentist still worked there, the other dentist would certainly stand behind her work and take care of my tooth fragment. Melanie merely offered up a dental assistant to take a look at it, take a picture of it, and then refer me to an oral surgeon. I want this bone fragment removed at no extra cost to me, as it should have been originally. I moved here from New Jersey and found this dental office. Their office is immaculate and clean, as soon as I got there their staff greeted me and treated me like family. When I found out I had a cavity for my wisdom tooth, I was extremely apprehensive and nervous. The day I arrived for my procedure (2/15/2022) I was greeted warmly as always by Melanie the front desk person. She reassured me I'll be fine. My previous dental hygienist remembered me, Jackie, and came and checked up on me (again they really treat you like family). The dental assistant for the procedure, Brandy, was amazing and she really calmed my nerves down. Dr.Konzelman was incredibly gentle and when I told her I had a very low pain threshold she ensured that I was numbed up and she even tested both sides of my cheeks so I could relax knowing it was numb. Dr. Konzelman's work was the BEST experience I've ever had a dentist office (and I'm almost 40 and have lived across California, New Jersey and Canada). The best dental office! Dr. lacy and her staff are so warm and accommodating-many have been there for 10+ years. The front desk girls are the sweetest! They make me feel more like a friend than a patient, which is unlike other offices I've been to. They were very understanding when I expressed some nervousness about dental procedures and provided me with headphones and an Itouch to listen to music and relax me. They explained every part of the process so that I knew what to expect and never made me feel dumb for asking questions. read more

Initially gave a 5 Star review, did honestly enjoy the experience. Do not depend on them to verify benefits because they'll just say they 'take your insurance' even if you're not in-network. I know I asked if I was in-network, prior to making the appointment as well as day of, and trusted them to check and let me know if I wasn't. I called many dentists to verify if they were in or out of network prior to making my appointment. Others informed me that they were out of network so kept calling till I found 3 that said they were in-network, this being one of the ones that said they were in-network and unfortunately I picjeAfter you get the bill they'll just say we have never been in that network which is irritating when I explicitly asked if they are in-network, of course I know they'll take any insurance but I asked if they were explicitly prior to and the day of the appointment. My experience was very poor with this dentist office - don't go to this place. I had a root canal and was fitted for a crown. The front office filed the claim with my insurance and my insurance had a question and sent a letter. The front office never responded to the letter. Three weeks later when I called the office and they said they were waiting for the insurance to pay. Two weeks later the front office said they had not received insurance payment, but they pushed very hard for me to pay the insurance companies portion so that I could get an appointment. They had already received my crown but were attempting to hold me hostage over the insurance payment. I refused to comply with this unusual strong arm tactic. When I called the insurance company, they said they had not heard from the dentist office. I answered their question and payment was initiated. All told it took me approximately seven (7) weeks from the time of the root canal to getting the crown while experiencing very shaky business activity. Please, please, please avoid this dentist at all costs. I found out about Dr. Lacy through a flyer in the mail, she looked nice and her office was close so I thought I would give her a try. My first visit was awesome- the staff was extremely nice and made me feel very welcome, and my teeth looked awesome. A few months later my teeth really started to bother me so I scheduled another appointment with Dr. Lacy where she informed me that I had 5 cavities that all needed to be filled. I found this to be very odd because I have never had a cavity in my life and all of a sudden I had 5?? I went against my better judgement and let her do the procedure, hoping the pain on my one tooth would stop. During the procedure she found a 6th cavity that also needed to be filled, so she went ahead and did it. A few weeks after the procedure I had extreme pain on my tooth (the one with the mysterious 6th cavity) every time I ate or drank. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Lacy who said it would go away, but if it didn't I needed to see an endodontist. I ended up going to the endodontist who said that my filling was done very, very close to the nerve and that I needed to have a root canal (I am only 19 years old and to have a root canal???), and possibly would need to have another one done in the future as another filling was also done very close to the nerve. After I scheduled my root canal I realized I needed a new dentist and decided to go where I was highly recommended. I needed to get my medical records and images to the new dentist so I went into the office one afternoon but was told I couldn't get any of my records because Dr. Lacy wasn't there. They were my medical records, that I signed HIPA forms for, for this very reason. After fighting with them for over 30 minutes and having the police called on me because I wouldn't leave without my records that I am legally entitled to, I was given my records and was on my way. My new dentist was faxed the images but with very edited lighting so it was almost impossible for him to see anything, but from what he could see from the pictures (the pictures she took with a camera, and the pictures she used to determine I needed 6 fillings) no fillings were necessary, and he wouldn't have done that. This whole process has wasted so much time and energy, so please stay away from this dentist if you want to keep your sanity. They may seem awesome and sweet on the first visit, but trust me they are only out for your money.If you read the reviews on here and other sites you will see I am not the only person she has done this too. If you want a great recommendation go to Watson Family Dentistry (father and son), they are a little further from here but have amazing reviews and they are truly some of the best dentists I have ever been to!! read more

Went to her as a new patient based on the reviews. She immediately told me she needed to schedule me for 2 major procedures for over $3000. I trusted her. I got the procedures done. One became infected and I had to do a root canal. She told me I needed 2 more major procedures and had multiple cavities to fill. My trust evaporated and I went to a new dentist. The new dentist confirmed my suspicions: I did not need the two new procedures done, nor did I have ANY cavities. Dr. Lacy is only interested in what I meant to her bottom line. So sorry I went there. If she tells you that you need a procedure done, get a second opinion. read more
