Ive started to come here from a few years ago and since then, every time I plan to visit my family down in TX, I also hope to hit this place up - they have always been the most affordable, accommodating, and reliable group of people with strong fam vibes. On multiple occasions they been so flexible and have worked to squeeze me in. My last visit with them was a few months ago, and I wanted to get some deep cleaning done before my brother's wedding. They worked around my schedule on short notice to find what would work for me, which I was honestly amazed by. Both front desk people are awesome, Dr. Sokransky is very informative and exceptionally skilled - what I appreciate the most is that he doesnt try to sell you any procedure that you dont need. He actually cares, and practices with great integrity. Never had any uncomfortable or painful experience when VS Dental handled my teeth. My family has been going to VS Dental for years and I am compelled to write a review because of my last visit. I want everyone to know that Dr. Sokransky is one of kind! He's the kindest, funniest, and most skillful dentist! And did I mention he is the most honest dentist! He will never try to sell you something that is not in your best interest. I asked him for more work and he could have easily said yes (and did it like my previous dentists did) but he suggested I don't do as the cosmetic work I inquired about would ultimately be harmful and require more costly repairs/upkeep down the road. He said my teeth are healthy and fine so why mess that up! I've been to dentists that jumped at doing these types of cosmetic procedures (usually their suggestion) since they break down over time but never did they mention that it damages your teeth in the process. However the most important thing about this office is Dr Sokransky. He is a very experienced doctor. He is very patient and thorough in his explanations. Dr. Sokransky, Katerina and team are wonderful! He's conservative with his approach and listens to his patient's needs. Katerina provides great customer service. She remembers me when I call as well as my family. She's very accommodating with schedules and verifies with insurance in a very timely manner. She will emphasize punctuality for early appointments which I appreciate since it impacts the following schedules. There's rarely a delay upon arrival. I usually walk in, say hello, then greeted by someone else to take me to the back. So don't get too comfortable in the waiting room. The hygienist are all nice. They never make you feel bad for not flossing enough. They ask questions about problem areas before starting their cleanings especially for sensitive areas. All in all, I highly recommend VS Dental. This place is amazing with their services, their communication, their technology and the patient experience. The best I have ever experienced in dentistry. I've had some horrible price gouging experiences in the past. Not here. Dr. Soransky treated me on an emergent basis as I was hit in the face by a surfboard (yes my surfboard) knocked one tooth backwards and broke the other in half. He straightened one up and filled the broken one. He recommended and performed this conservative treatment. Another dentist wanted to remove them both, perform Sx and give me crowns all for a pretty penny. Today, I had a follow and a cleaning and was so impressed with the care, technology, communication and outcome of the previous work. I highly recommend Dr. Soransky and staff. I've been looking for a new dental office closer to work. Had checkup/cleaning here today and really liked it! Hygienist was named Amanda, I believe, and she was nice, friendly, gentle and explained everything. She was also very thorough and did not try to hurry through the cleaning. She used a combo of the water pick along with traditional scraping. The office is clean/pristine and has all the latest technology and equipment. The dentist was nice, informative, and also took his time. Front desk manager was also friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for routine care. After experiencing scary and horrifying dentistry in Plano and our hometowns, we were reassured with the quality service, equipment, and cleanliness of this practice. Dr. Sokransky carefully explains what is going on and checks to make sure that you are all right during the visit. Katerina's billing leaves no questions or unexpected balances. Mary, the dental assistant, is lovely, friendly, and easy to communicate with. Their sterilization procedures and caring manner convinced us to bring our toddler son over from his pediatric dentist where he got sick twice. We're even thinking of bringing my Mom to VS Dental. Very satisfied with VS Dental group! I needed to take my mom in for somewhat urgent issue and it was very easy to get an appointment for the date and time requested. Once we arrived and checked in, we were seen immediately. Dr. Sokransky and his staff was very attentive, knowledgable, polite and pleasant. Dr. Sorkansky spent enough time with my mom answering her questions and explaining her everything about procedure and what to expect/to do after. Despite all the great reviews, I did not receive what I had hoped for. I chose this practice based on its' expertise and family- owned culture. However, given its' credentials, it's just as important to express care and genuine understanding for all patients. Prior to my appointment, I felt very relieved knowing that I would be receiving a thorough examination provided by caring, benevolent professionals. Upon entry, my experience was prompt and pleasant. Moments later, I was informed that further steps must be taken for proper cleaning. I was also informed that to provide this proper cleaning a co-pay would need to be collected- totally understandable. After being informed of this, I asked for a few moments alone to ponder if I would like to proceed; I decided that it would be best to reschedule for January. This is when my service plummeted. Choosing to decline a co-pay and to reschedule my appointment, caused the once exceptional service to become cold and aloof. Dr. Vlad became short and rushed through my examination. Even the atmosphere with the nurses and receptionists negatively shifted. Given this, I observed that this practice cared more about monetary gain and less about patient understanding and care. I left feeling judged and highly dissatisfied- confidently knowing I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

There is absolutely nothing to fault with this dental practice. The Dr, Receptionist, and assistant that worked with me were really wonderful in every way and went above and beyond to give me great service at a great price. I don't have insurance so I was really worried about how I was going to remove all 4 of my wisdom teeth. During my (free!) consultation and after seeing the x-rays, the doctor was honest with me and told me that I only really urgently needed to remove one of the teeth, not all 4 as I had been told by two other dentists. Even though it would cost him money, he was honest with me so that I had the information to make the best decision for me. He walked me through the surgery every step of the way and the assistant constantly offered breaks and asked if I was okay through the whole process. After the surgery I was given some free pain medications that I could use before filling my RX and a very generous amount of gauze to use for my wound later. The Dr told me to call with any issues and even reached out to me a week later to check on my progress, which touched my cold heart. When it came time to pay, I was charged exactly what I was quoted at during the consultation, no hidden fees. The receptionist gave me a breakdown so that I knew exactly what my money was going towards with no BS. You can tell that they really care about their patients at VS! Even though I live over an hour and a half away from the practice (it was recommended to me) I will definitely be coming back here because genuine kindness and payment transparency like this is very rare! read more

We found our new dental place!!! Vary upgraded and nice! My husband went here on a Saturday which is nice because he can only go on Saturdays. He said everyone was nice and it seemed like it was family owned and operated. My husband said The woman cleaning his teeth went above and beyond!!!!! She put a tiny camera inside his mouth to double check herself to make sure she was getting everything!!! WOW!! My husband said he's never had his teeth cleaned like that!!! When he came home I thought he also got teeth whitening but he said no she just did a amazing job!!! I went holy crap!!! Been going to VS dental for just under a year now and it has always been a fantastic experience. Dr Sokransky and Katarina are extremely welcoming,hospitable and a Amiable. They always spark conversation and keep it light hearted as he's busy doing work on my teeth. Dr. Sokransky isn't one to push redundant procedures and recommendations. He always has you best intentions as well as wallet in mind. The most recent visit which was this week, I had a pain in the back of my tooth and decided to give him a visit. Instead of just relieving the pain from the ache, he decided to shaved down my tooth since it was crowded and clean it while he was in there. He also spent time educating me on why the pain was there and what he would do to fix treat it. I appreciate being educated about dental hygiene as now I know how to be more proactive with my care. I moved to Frisco in August of 2017 and found VS Dental, , the Doctor and staff are all great. The place is clean, modern and comfortable. I once chipped my tooth and they found time to fix it on a Saturday without an appointment. I could not be more satisfied. My wife is a patient as well. We recently moved back to California but I will continue to find a way to have VS Dental as my primary dental care giver. My son and I had a bad experience at a Little Elm dentist office - upselling, encouraging unwarranted treatments, the whole bad review thing made into a reality. So....I'm so happy I found VS Dental. My experience there was enlightening and overwhelmingly positive. Here are the highlights: Dr. Sokransky was honest and didn't try to sell anything at all. He was genuinely concerned about my health and my teeth/smile. The loose filling from the Village (oops), I mean Little Elm dentist office, turned out to be some separation but some cracking in the tooth. Instead of Dr. Sokransky telling me I need to replace this right away and get a crown, he told me several times..go get a sleep study and found out what's going on. He was genuinely concerned with finding a solution to a clinching/tongue pushing problem I have. Then, once I can find a solution, we can review options and the crown, which appears inevitable, can be placed on at a later time. He also saw cracks that needed to be addressed and, again, find the solution to the problem first. VERY HONEST, VERY long term client driven. As for his hygienist, Andrea, she was amazing!! She was personable, so very patient and kind. She offered insight and comfort the entire time. She explained the procedures as she worked and gave great advice. Very calming, nice demeanor. I was pleasantly surprised and very happy to have made an appointment here. Other than always hating the cleaning part, I loved everything about this dentist visit. The office is very nice and you can see the steps taken to ensure sanitization to make you feel comfortable. I don't write a lot of reviews but I told Andrea I would. I have extreme dental anxiety, and I knew needed a root canal since my previous appt with an endodontist at another office was put-off due to COVID. I took a chance and booked the consult with VS Dental Group. I was surprised that Dr. Sokransky could take care of it right then and there (even though his office was busy). I was also expecting to have to get (and pay for) a crown, but he said he thought he could keep the front of the tooth in place, which he did. He was pretty no-nonsense and super efficient, and he very honest in practice since he told me he was going to try to avoid a crown which would have been $500 more out of my pocket. He also dealt with my anxiety during the procedure very well. He has nitrous oxide easily available (not all dentists do anymore). The office manager and dental assistant were super as well. Can't recommend this place enough after my positive experience. (Never thought a root canal could be positive! :) read more

Best dentist I've been to yet. Everyone there was very nice. They have the latest technology, so no more biting down on hard sharp plastic, X-rays took no time at all. They also took pictures of my teeth to compare between visits, which I've never had a dentist do. After seeing some of the pictures I went out and bought an electric toothbrush and water pick, I never realized how stained my teeth were and how much of a better job I really could do.
