I never understand business owners who go through the trouble of setting up shop but are not willing to provide decent service to customers who walk into their shop to give them business. I'm talking basic help of taking an order from a customer, not even above and beyond courteous jolly service! You have a walk-in showroom put somebody behind the counter who can and is willing to serve customers or close your showroom. Otherwise why are you wasting customer's time if you don't want to help walk-in customers?! Consistent poor customer service, I'm afraid your store is getting a reputation of such a store now, leaves "bad taste in the mouth" and will eventually push your business down, especially if the products you're selling are just ok products, more nostalgia then anything else. read more

Great little independent store selling beautiful Belgian chocolates. I wanted to get a birthday gift for a friend and wanted to shop local and get good quality. Recently my first grandson was born and I needed several boxes of chocolates to share at the hospital, arrival home, and to commemorate the birth with family and friends. Altogether I spent about $1,000. Worth every penny. The quality of chocolate is outstanding and so delicious. The presentation is gorgeous and unique. Maral, the owner is meticulous and gives excellent advice and suggestions. I prefer milk chocolate and each piece was wrapped in beautiful blue, silver wrap. One box was custom Hermes themed horse decor. The shop's reputation is well known so don't come in a rush. Often there is a line so expect to wait. Disrespectful customer service!!! This places' service was horrible. I walked in, was not greeted, I waited around 15 minutes with two ladies working. Each were helping someone which is fine. The issue is when one of them finished, instead of acknowledging me and even saying welcome, she turned to the other person ALREADY being helped and went to chit chat with them. I proceeded to wait even longer until a younger girl helped me who was so much more helpful!! The person that checked me out was named "Maral", she was an older lady for reference. That was the name on my receipt, she was the one that didn't welcome us and went to chit chat with the person already being helped. When she was checking us out she had an attitude, and was not polite. For getting luxurious chocolate that's over $120 a box, they should be giving luxurious customer service. I was recommended to come to this place, but I will not be returning. I didn't feel welcome what so ever. Owner and daughter are wonderful, helpful. Had some items from Lebanon, many assorted chocolates to choose from. They aren't your sugar overloaded American chocolates. These are quality. She understood my style just by talking to me and observing my look and personality. according to her observations, she showed me what I would like, and didn't try to sell me anything extravagant and over the top. They have so much variety when it comes to the ribbons, gems, and decor. All their chocolates are imported and taste just divine! I ordered 40 semi sweet chocolates with pecans all for about $90. DO NOT give these people your business. Every single time we have step foot into Mirelli, it has led to a horrible customer experience. The owners are extremely rude and sassy. Both mother and daughter have 0 customer service skills and have turned what was supposed to be memorable and joyous shopping experiences from engagement to wedding into a bitter experience. The most recent time we step foot into her store was to try the trending Dubai Chocolate. Her door was open, inviting walk ins. We weren't greeted with a hello, let alone a smile. She was attending to another customer and we waited patiently for 20 minutes for her to wrap things up, as she was taking her sweet time fluffing a bow for them. We asked if she could quickly just hand us the chocolate and we would pay cash and leave. She gave us an entire lecture how she closes shop at 6pm and that we should be more mindful and not interrupt her.... All while rolling her eyes. If she was so hot and bothered by new customers walking in, I think she should have locked the door in the first place. If someone walks in regardless of the time, it's your responsibility to put on your best face and make sure they are treated with respect and care. It wouldn't have hurt her to offer us a sample chocolate while we waited and apologized for the delay. Our simple request for chocolate was met with an unnecessary lecture and dismissive behavior, leaving us to depart empty handed. The two ladies who she was attending to felt so guilty and bad, we had to reassure them that they weren't the problem. I've never met more distasteful and rude business owners in my life. You would think after giving them so much business over the years, they would treat their loyal customers with more respect. This consistent disregard for customer service is unacceptable. I recommend going to PAACHI instead. Their chocolates are more decadent, customer service is unmatched and atmosphere is breathable and welcoming. read more

My mom bought me treats from here for valentines day and they were amazing ! So much so she bought them again for my birthday 2 weeks later . She bought me the wrapped chocolate candies which came in pretty wrappers and were all unique and delicious . She also bought me the delight and chocolate treat box was so good. I think they were like turkish delight but not like anything I have ever had. They had nuts and chocolate and delight ( I don't know what it is called ) . Great candy and chocolate for presents and for foodies .They ranged from just really good chocolate with nuts and caramel to what in the world is this delicious thing covered chocolate and rose petals . I usually don't write reviews but this one is long overdue. I wish Yelp had a half star because one whole star is too much for Mirelli Chocolatier. The whole point of this is to warn others not to order from this place. I ordered 55 pieces of Christening Favors for my son's christening. The favors I ordered where supposed to have a tiny ribbon wrapped around them and a cross on top attached to the chocolate. That's how the photo looked on their website. Price was $4.25 per piece. I needed only 50 but just in case decided to order 55. So I picked up my order 1 day before, opened it at home to check and noticed that 2 of the crosses fell off the chocolates. I didn't pay attention to it because I ordered 5 more for things like this. So next day, I took the box to banquet hall so employees can put them on the plates. I decided to stay and help the waiter and started taking favors out of the box and placing them on the tray for her. Crosses started falling off as soon as I started taking them out of the box. When we finished placing favors, half of them didn't have a cross on them anymore. I looked on them closely and noticed that it was almost no glue under them, barely any. I asked the waiter for a glue gun. They found a glue gun and sticks ( which wasn't even their job) and gave it to me. So I was sitting there in my evening dress, trying to glue crosses back to chocolates. Glue gun wouldn't warm up, so I just gave up and placed them on the plates without crosses. But remember, they charged me arm and leg for this particular favor because of 3D cross on top. After my guests left I found more fallen crosses on the tables. So favors basically were falling apart once you touched them. 2 days later I contacted Jack , the owner/manager of this "reputable store" and that is when things got ugly. First, he didn't believe me at all and tried to blame the banquet hall employees but after I texted him 3 different photos of Christening day ( including my photo, sitting there trying to glue them back) he offered me $50 refund . I didn't think it was fair amount but agreed anyway. When I asked him to Zelle me money, he said he will Zelle money once he gets his crosses back. WHAT A JOKE!!!! He expected me to dive into the dumpster at the banquet hall to recover his crosses from trash as proof. What a disgrace of a human being with zero customer service skills. Since I refused to dig into 3 days old trash he offered me $25 instead of $50. He explained that those crosses are meant to fall because only tiny drop of glue used to hold everything together. OK , if that was the case why did you charge me $4.25 per piece? I could of just ordered ones with ribbon only and pay half of what I paid. I refused to take his $25 dollars. My advise to others, if you end up ordering from them don't order anything that has piece attached to it. First of all you will pay double, second its going to fall apart anyway, before your guests even touch it. read more

This place gave us a wrong dark bitter chocolate that nobody ate. They only threw few of what we ordered in there. These guys are really amazing! I initially came here to get chocolates for my wedding. With the help of the owners we picked out some beautiful chocolates! They were really well made, look beautiful and actually tasted great too!! The owners were super nice to work with and helped me get everything I wanted :) My wedding was out of state, so I picked up the chocolates and they traveled with me and all of them got to my destination in one piece. They were super careful about how they packed everything. Oh and customer service and communication was great! They did such a good job for my wedding that I decided to get some chocolates for my niece's baptism. This time I had them shipped to my house, since I don't live that close to the shop. The ordering process was super easy, and I knew the quality was going to be great anyways. Most of the decorated pieces came out in perfect condition. Just a few of the others the decoration fell off, but nothing a little hot glue can't fix ;) and they mention in their website that this could happen with shipping, so I was prepared for it.
