The lady, Silva, was very polite, nice, sweet, and friendly; she really understands the customer's needs. While this florist clearly has a talent for creating beautiful arrangements, my experience as a visiting customer was disappointing. I visited the shop in person and provided a clear, specific example of what I wanted. A week later, when I returned to pick up my order, the arrangement was entirely different from what I had requested. Rather than addressing the issue, the staff implied I was mistaken and claimed the arrangement I originally showed was over $100 more--something that had never been communicated. As a new client, I expected a more professional and accommodating approach. I even asked to speak with the person who took my original order, but that request was ignored. I'm not leaving this review out of bitterness, but because my expectations were simply not met, and I believe transparency and accountability are important--especially in a service-based business. read more

I can't keep to myself though on how tacky it is to receive a delivery from Chocolato with a PRICE TAG on it! This quaint chocolate shop is a hidden gem in our neighborhood. I saw that they have the Dubai chocolates and wanted to try their version as I have not been impressed by the ones I've tried so far. Let me tell you, omg they are addicting. So much that I have been back several times already in the past 2 weeks to purchase them to share with my friends. They even import the ingredients from overseas! The customer service is amazing. There was a miscommunication with my dark chocolate order and the owner, Veronica, handled it very professionally. I asked about chocolate trays for my engagement party. She wasn't able to give any guiadance had no pictures to show us and couldn't price anything out. My mother in law ordered ever lasting flowers for My birthday which she wanted to give to me yesterday at my 30th birthday party, however they gave her flowers in a loose box and as she drove home they flipped over and fell all over the place. She paid 245$ for these flowers . After she drove back to ask them to fix the issue the owner was nowhere around and her clueless worker couldn't fix the flowers. She told her to come back Monday and speak with the owner herself for a refund. Side note, they are closed Monday!!!she called the owner this morning and the owner did nothing for her except insult her. She called her all kinds of names such as retarded and uneducated. My mother in law has a Degree in book keeping and she has amazing taste fyi! This lady did not want to speak Armenian and stated she'd rather speak English. After all the insults she refused to refund her money and told her she is so concerned w the 245$ and it's not that serious for her to argue over . Call me crazy but if you as a business owner are any less concerned about the money then it should not be an issue for you to refund the money since you did not even provide a service and we all know customer service is keeping your customers happy. You don't know your job and you are money hungry for stealing. U provided crappy service, over charged and weren't even available to fix the issue. For someone who claims they are educated you do not insult your clientele and call them names. Also you don't make crazy accusations that the client probably dropped the flowers or drove crazy. She ended up getting me beautiful flowers from elsewhere but that sucks that she had to find a different florist last minute and pay double the amount of money. As a supporter of mom & pop shops, I was curious to check out Choco Lato as it is literally down the street from me and I pass it every day on my way to and from work. I didn't go in expecting much as from the outside, you can only see tons of multi-colored gift baskets that look guady, but appearances are deceiving. The store is decorated quite tastefully once you get past all the baskets. The chocolates look very appealing and there's a good selection to choose from. I went with a mint, a toffee crunch, and a dark chocolate pecan bear claw. The prices are probably about right for truffles, and they are quite large . I also got a caramel and a chocolate macaroon though these are currently brought into the store rather than made here. The owner told me it is something in the future they'll make in house. The truffles were pretty good. My wife and I enjoyed them. It's a better quality chocolate than See's Candies which isn't saying much, but is more impressive to bring as a gift than a box of See's. The owner is really personable and friendly. Gave my daughter a lollipop which was very exciting for her and a nice gesture I felt. I like good customer service and my review would be 5 out of 5 for that. I was the only one in the store so I was encouraged to ask questions and they received full answers. I'd reduce the amount of gift baskets on display to 3 so that people are attracted immediately to the chocolates which deserve the attention of customers. I would also suggest having a 'sample of the day' which would help people hesitant to spend $2.25 on a truffle cross the line of purchasing these chocolates. I'd also suggest serving coffee or drinking chocolate and putting a few tables out for people to sit in instead of all the baskets on tables. I hope this store does well. It would be nice to see someone passionate about chocolate do well on this side of town. read more

Yes just this one. - I asked what is chocolate on chocolate? It's dark chocolate on dark chocolate, I made a face and she asked do you like dark chocolate or milk? - I said no just milk. She said oh this one is milk and this cappuccino and that Champagne is with milk. - I said oh no not those. So I thought for a brief second, and said and pointed I'd like this one caramel and just the milk chocolate and walked over to counter to pay which was a big mistake because when I got home there was the cappuccino one in the bag and I didn't even want to try to see if the other one was correct. almost $6 for two pieces. TLDR: go to See's candy, better range & prices, and you won't feel cheated maybe little gluttony but that's always better then feeling cheated. read more

If I can leave zero stars on here I would. I signed a contract with the owner of this place before covid for my wedding flowers. We had to postpone our wedding due to Covid and once we were in the clear we can have our wedding I contact her and met with her to begin the process of my flowers. Once i arrived she took the contract out with the words cancelled across of it. She basically told me "the government" cancelled our contract, which is the most stupidest thing I've ever heard. This lady cancelled my contract without contacting me and kept telling me the pandemic and government cancelled it. Basically to sign a new contract I would need to pay double, up to 10k to start a new contract. With that kind of money I rather go to well known established flower company. After back and forth I got my deposit back (thank god) and walked away. Don't do business with them, thehh guy will find any excuse to screw you over just for their own benefit. Here is my personal experience with this place that lacks utmost customer service. I went here to inquire on pricing of chocolates and arrangements that included flowers and chocolate. No commitment as this was the first place I went and haven't even spoken to my florists and other places yet. Right off the back they tried to hard sell me on their stuff like used car sales people. I mentioned several times that I'm only here to inquire about pricing NOT placing an order just yet. For some reason the owner or whoever the older lady is instantly gets a order form and starts filling in what I'm interested in... Ooooookkkkkaay... Then after they quote me a price I told them I need to speak to my husband and a few other places too. If I decide to go with them, I'll call them. Then they started to push me to call them the same night or the next morning the earliest to let them know about my decision so they don't give the acrylic boxes to someone else for the same date I needed. Really? I don't like being pushed by bad salespeople! Then I asked them to give me a copy of how much it would be total for arrangements to discuss it at home and they said "you have to put a deposit in order to get the slip". Since I wasn't there to put an order just yet like I mentioned several times they only let me take a picture. I already decided at that point I'm not gonna get anything from them. The next day they called me once or twice when I was at prenatal appointment. I didn't call back since I told them I will call them IF I decide to go with them. What's worse is that they had a nerve to tell a mutual friend that I went in, placed an order, spoke to them very rude and they called me all day next day and I didn't pick up. BULLSHIT! If they had customer service skills maybe I'd go back to them and place an order but I told them I was shopping around getting quotes, not buying anything right now and never put any deposit so how exactly are they claiming I placed an order? A week later my florist gave me a much better deal on the same arrangements I wanted and I got my chocolates from Suzannas Chocolate which is a similar store to this one. Maybe I'd come back here to get at least the chocolates but the lack of customer service just didn't appeal to me plus them lying to other people about my experience with them. I'll never set a foot to this store ever again. Go learn customer service skills first then learn to be honest about why customers didn't go with you vs putting the blame on them. read more

The lady who helped us (i think was the owner) said it was going to be big and full of orchids, there were maybe 15 roses and 2 orchids the rest were hydrangeas.
