THESE VIRAL FRUIT PASTRIES ARE EVEN BETTER IN PERSON!! This place completely surprised me.. everything looks almost too pretty to eat, and those fruit pastries look like the REAL thing! I tried the raspberry tart, lemon tart, a crazy good strawberry milkshake, and another fancy pastry I can't even name ... but everything was FRESH and FIRE. One was in the shape of a bouqet of ROSES! Cool Bites Pâtisserie is officially CERTIFIED. Everyone here is super nice too and the establishment is beautiful !

We've officially found our new favorite place for chocolate cake! We first ordered this cake for my birthday, and my whole family loved it so much that we had to come back and get the same one for my mom's birthday. If you're a chocolate lover, this cake is a dream. It's rich and decadent without being overwhelming, incredibly moist, and has beautiful, prominent layers that make every bite satisfying. The frosting is smooth, creamy, and best of all, not overly sweet (the perfect Asian-approved level of sweetness!). They also added a chocolate "Happy Birthday" plaque for my mom, which was such a thoughtful finishing touch. Everyone at the party was asking where the cake was from. We'll definitely be making this our go-to spot for birthdays and special occasions!

I was in Glendale and needed to pick up some sweets, this place looked interesting. Parking is a little bit hectic, but once you see all the beautiful pastries you know it's worth it. The store itself is well decorated and looks really clean. I ordered the lemon tart, chocolate eclair, strawberry milkshake, chocolate cake and a puff pastry with vanilla Chantilly cream. All of it was not only delicious so gorgeous I felt bad eating it. If you like lemon the lemon tart is soo good. The kids loved the chocolate eclair and the strawberry milkshake.

Being the sweet lover that I am and my son being a very picky pastry chef, he adores this Cool Bites Pâtisserie. I have passed by this place few times and always wanted to give them a try. I have still yet to explore and discover this bakery that people speak so highly of myself. My son frequents this place pretty often and always raves about almost all of their baked goods and to my surprise, he doesn't compare them with his own baking. Surprisingly true since he is very competitive. He has been to this shop 6 times in total whenever he is in Glendale and will bring home big box of their delicious baked goods and we both share the pastries together. Sharing is always caring! Seriously one bite of each, and you will feel like you are in HEAVEN!! Last night after his work, he stopped by this lovely, beautiful bakery shop and got us 12 pieces of pastries of many different kinds. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the place is super clean. I told him to take few pictures and he did. Prices are a tad expensive, but you get what you pay for. Don't know their parking situation but I am sure you can park your car, bike, somewhere. He says that the staff are super nice, friendly and helpful. I think they really found the perfect name for their establishment!

Came here for the petit gateaus although I came a bit late in the day and the selection was very limited, but thankfully they still had the number one thing I wanted to try: LE PISTACHE! It's beautiful, looks so much like a pistachio nut scaled up like 100x, and has a lovely natural pistachio flavor inside. The center has some sort of salted caramel that made this very enjoyable. The strawberry milkshake did taste like yogurt with a pleasant strawberry flavor and some jelly in the middle. Like all petit gateaus I've had so far, they're quite cream heavy. I liked the earl grey eclair too and the color is gorgeous. I'm not sure if I'm losing my mind but I swear they had a banana petit gateau at some point but now I can't even find a picture of it. Service was friendly, she taped the pastries to the box so they didn't shift, and even left the top off so I could take a picture hehe. People seem to rave about the Saint Honore and I'd like to come back and try it. Free street parking in front!

I enjoyed the stuff here a lot!! I came here on a weekday in the afternoon and there weren't many people here. I parked in the Trader Joe's parking lot so I found parking easily. I got many things to try from here. I will say depending on your taste preference, you will either like or dislike certain things. However you will find something you like if you are more into fruity things or chocolate things. From a fruit standpoint: I enjoyed the Lemon Tart and Strawberry Milkshake From a Chocolate/ Hazelnut/ Pistachio standpoint: I enjoyed the La Noisette, Chocolate Cake, La Pistache, the pistachio tart, and the Ferrero Eclair. I did not like the Hazelnut Balls (did not like the texture) and Carrot Cake (too much icing). 8 pastries are very filling and it costed me around $115. It is expensive but it is the craftsmanship and artistry you pay for in these places. The pastries are so unique and honestly worth the money if you want to try it. I will be coming back for the La Noisette. It was my favorite one!

This place is literally dessert heaven! I am a BIG sweets person and Cool Bites had something to satisfy every craving one could have. Upon entering the establishment, you'll see a dazzling display of desserts of various colors, textures, and flavors. They're all so beautifully and thoughtfully created that I'm sure you'll have a difficult time making a decision. There were three or four pistachio-forward offerings which is great for me but the sales associate said she likes the pistachio tart so I chose that. My boyfriend decided on a carrot cake that was housed in a small plastic box, and I got a Earl Grey and pistachio eclair. They also had baked Brie and squash and goat cheese pastries as well. I wish I had taken pictures of everything but I only got a photo of the eclairs and it's so much more beautiful in person. My pistachio tart had a perfectly flaky crust with a cream inside that melted in your mouth. It was the perfect amount of sweetness that complimented the other flavors and wasn't overwhelming. My boyfriend's carrot cake was perfectly balanced with the just the right amount of cream cheese frosting and sweetness. We were both dying over how good the cake and tart were. I know the eclairs will be just as impressive and satisfying. We took the order to go and our order was carefully placed in a box with the items taped down so they don't move around. There are some table outside so you could also sit and enjoy your desserts there. I look forward to going back to try some of their other desserts. It was the perfect way to end the evening.

I've been wanting to check this place for a while, so I was glad to finally try the desserts. The exterior and interior are beautiful and very welcoming. I loved the French patisserie vibes, and the owner ( I believe) had a smile on her face and was welcoming, which I appreciated. There were so many different dessert options to pick from, and I wanted to try so many, but they are a bit on the pricey side, so it's not something I'd get all the time. I was craving a good chocolate cake, so I got the cake, and my boyfriend loves eclairs so he got the earl grey eclair. The desserts were beautiful but I wasn't wowed by either dessert, unfortunately. They were good but not amazing. Maybe I needed to try a different dessert. I'd be open to trying something different next time.

Ok these desserts are gorgeous looks wise 100/10 stunning! Im gonna say if you love mousse then these are the desserts for you. They are primarily mousse based and I'll say the mousse texture is perfect. We got 5 different ones and heres my thoughts: La Noissette: yummy hazelnut flavor with chocolate inside 8/10 Strawberry milkshake: 5/10 the flavor was very subtle and surprisingly not that sweet. Mostly mousse with jelly inside Mango tart: 9/10 this one was my favorite. The mango had good flavor. It was sweet but not overwhelming. The tart crust gave it the additional element it needed Rasperry petit gateau: 6/10 also very mild in flavor. Almost sour. Wish it was sweeter. Again mostly mousse Pistachio: 6/10 tasted like pistachio butter. Again all mousse with some pistachios inside and pistachio butter. Good flavor. Would definitely recommend. The desserts are beautiful just wish the mousse based ones had added elements to give them more interest in texture, flavor. Also wish the flavors on the fruit ones were more prominent and a bit sweeter.

Great taste and flavor!!! Pastries are deeeeelish!!! And not to mention the sandwich omg!! Authentic! Great friendly service and ambiance is great!!!!!

Gâteau en Tasse Strawberry - Not good. It was some strawberry cheesecake flavor filling and the cake was too soft and crumbly.

8/20/2025 Went on a Friday afternoon. No lines. There were plenty of pastries available. I brought all of the pastries home, so it slid around my car and the bag fell to the side, so unfortunately the pastries are a bit smushed. Éclair Earl Grey Bleu Choux pastry was soft. It would have been better if the pastry creams were filled per order. As shown in the picture, the eclair box moved in the car, so most of the glaze was came off onto the box. Glaze on top is sticky. The glaze does have a floral flavor, but it was sticky and had an odd aftertaste. I think the éclair tasted better because most of the glaze came off. The earl grey filling was good. It had a good flavor inside. But I wouldn't get this again. Gâteau en Tasse Strawberry This is sold as a whole cake too. The strawberry flavor did taste a bit fake. The filling also had a strawberry cream cheesecake flavor. The cake texture was soft and crumbly. Not sure what cake it was, but I didn't love it. It wasn't vanilla cake. The filling was on the sweeter side. Not good at all! Raspberry Petit Gâteau It had a tart raspberry flavor that was refreshing. The outer raspberry shell was unique and loved the raspberry cream inside. Really enjoyed this dessert. Tart Pistachio It had a good buttery tart crust. Filling was smooth and had a natural pistachio flavor. Nothing fake in flavor. There were plenty of pistachio nuts sprinkled on top for crunchy texture. I think pistachio lovers would like this dessert. Customer Service Only one person working at the front. Service was okay. She did answer all my questions on the pastries I've selected. Parking Street parking. It wasn't difficult to find street parking next to the bakery. It's not a busy area.

Ask the Community - Cool Bites Pâtisserie

Do these need to be refrigerated immediately, or will they maintain for several hours at room temp?

What is the sugar content in your pastries/cakes. I cannot stomach eating dessert overwhelmingly sweet?

My wife says they are not overly sweet. They're more like Italian or French pastry for dessert, but they are not cheap.$$$$

What's the price range for full size cakes?

    $50-$95

How do I order a cake? I don't see a way on the website.

Just call them if you want regular sized cakes. If you want individual cakes, just walk in.

Could I order bite size pastries?

Of course. Just call in advance. Make sure you ask for their menu and you know what you're ordering. It's not cheap.

Is this only a catering company or can you eat here?

Our catering company is a separate business. This is our pastry shop. However, we do have both indoor and outdoor seating if you’d like to enjoy your pastries and coffee here.

Anything on the menu for vegans?

    No, sorry about that.

My sister placed a dessert order for my niece's birthday/christening and specifically wrote in the order instructions that everything needed to be light/blush pink to match the theme of an event with over 100 guests. On the day of the event, her husband arrived at the scheduled pickup time and was made to wait approximately 40 minutes because the order still wasn't ready. When the desserts finally arrived, we realized that the macarons and roses decorating the desserts were bright pink, completely different from the blush pink that was specifically requested. My sister initially tried to let it go because we had an entire event to worry about, but after a few hours she decided to call and calmly explain what happened. She wasn't calling to argue, she simply wanted to see what could be done and have the mistake acknowledged. Unfortunately, the owner's response was more upsetting than the mistake itself. Instead of simply apologizing, she became defensive and said that sometimes certain flowers aren't "in season," which supposedly could explain the darker color. My sister then asked how that explained the bright pink macarons, and the conversation became incredibly rude. While my sister was speaking calmly, the owner interrupted her with, "Hold up, don't yell at me," in a very disrespectful tone when she was not yelling at her. At that point, all we were trying to explain was that a simple apology and acknowledgment that the order did not match what was requested would have been enough. Instead, the conversation continued with attitude, and when I got on the phone and told her that treating repeat customers this way had just lost her a lot of business, she hung up on me. Mistakes happen. A shade of pink being wrong would not have caused us to stop supporting a business we had ordered from repeatedly. The way the owner handled the mistake is why we will not be returning. There was no reason for a simple, reasonable complaint to be met with defensiveness and hanging up on a customer. After seeing how the owner has responded to other customers who have shared negative experiences, unfortunately our interaction makes a lot more sense. Customer service matters just as much as the product, especially when people are trusting you with orders for important events.

Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café…read more Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café reminded me that we live for the wonderful experiences that remain to be discovered. After a wonderful lunch date with my wife at Raffi's Place (please read my review and thank me later) in Glendale, I decided to look for the perfect dessert. After scouting several nearby locations, I decided I was in the mood for a great cinnamon roll. Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café looked like the place that would deliver the experience I was seeking. SDLBC is listed as being in Glendale, but it's located in the historic Old Town of Montrose. That's beside the point; I only mention it because there are additional places to explore just up the street. We arrived around 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and there wasn't much of a selection left, including the highly sought-after cinnamon roll. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us warmly, and I immediately asked if that was all the pastries they had. He said yes. I contemplated leaving because of the nonexistent cinnamon roll, but I didn't want to be rude, so I decided to give the bakery a try since we were already there. So, we basically took half of what remained behind the glass display case: a Peach Almond Croissant, a Raspberry Pistachio Croissant, an Almond Croissant, and then my curiosity focused on a few lonely-looking pastries that were unfamiliar to my discerning eyes. I asked the gentleman what they were, and he replied with something that sounded completely foreign to me: Kouign-Amann. Kouign-Amann (pronounced queen ah-MAHN) is a traditional pastry from the region of Brittany, France. It is often considered one of the richest pastries in the world because it is made with just a few simple ingredients in generous proportions: bread dough, butter, and sugar. Figuring we needed a few more sweets for the road, we took all the remaining Kouign-Amanns. Two were the traditional version, and the other two were filled with crème and blueberry jam. We also ordered a Café Americano and a Café Mocha. While we waited for our drinks, I simply couldn't wait any longer. Like a kid on Christmas morning, I eagerly opened my gift and dug right into the Kouign-Amann. Hesitantly, I tore off a tiny piece with my fingers, expecting nothing extraordinary, and instantly gave birth to a brand-new experience that exploded in my mouth. The crisp exterior gave way to the soft, flaky center, followed by waves of what tasted like delicate honey. I tore off another piece and shared it with my wife. One look at her eyes told me she wanted more. By the time our drinks were ready, we had devoured one of the Kouign-Amanns and confessed to the gentleman behind the counter that we had just experienced pure ecstasy in the form of a pastry. Kouign-Amann is, in fact, one of the richest pastries in the world, so don't let the unfamiliar name keep you from trying one. The Café Americano and the Café Mocha were also exceptionally well prepared. With everything that's happening in the world these days, a simple yet profound experience like this reminded me how wonderful life can still be. Like Arnold said... "I'll be back." Enjoy!

I stopped off and had to have the chocolate mousse sponge cake. It's gluten-free and I will tell…read moreyou they have a lot of really delicious things to try. The croissant selection is incredible. I love the indoor seating, but they also have outdoor seating. I washed it down with a short Americano, two shots and I threw in some extra cream. It's delicious. The coffee has a nice mild flavor, but nothing beats the sweets. I have to tell you this chocolate mousse cake is the right portion otherwise I would eat the whole thing in this case the powers that be more wise and gave me a slice and Man was it delicious.

We grilled a lot of delicious food, including steak, potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, and many other dishes, and treated everyone to a wonderful meal. My brother's friend and his wife brought a cake from Proof Bakery. They said it was a really delicious cake, but after trying it myself, I was completely amazed. It was absolutely incredible. Everyone who was there yesterday kept saying how delicious it was, and everyone was impressed by it. The cake was incredibly soft and moist, and it wasn't overly sweet at all. It had such a perfect balance of flavor. I had never even heard of a bakery called Proof Bakery before yesterday. After asking the friend who brought the cake and looking it up, I found out that it is a bakery located in Glendale. The friend who brought the cake told me that Proof Bakery is so famous that even many Hollywood celebrities buy cakes from there. She especially mentioned Natalie Portman as one of the celebrities who loves their cakes. I definitely want to try that amazing cake again and buy one for myself someday. It was super delicious.

I'm stunned by the pricing of their small sized pastries. Their ham and cheese and chocolate croissant are smaller than the size of my hand - for reference I'm 5'2. Also, the sweet and savory offerings are uninspiring... boring. If you plan on being in the area on a Sunday and want a good pastry, check out the Farmers Market and look for Out of Thin Air's booth instead.

I'm always on the hunt for a Piroshki, one of my favorite delights that I think originated in…read moreRussia and is East European by origin. I think Papillon is Armenian which I believe has European cuisine, as Armenia is considered geographically to be within Western Asia (the Middle East) and the South Caucasus region. Sitting within the mountainous Armenian Highland, it acts as a transcontinental bridge between Eastern Europe and Asia. Their Piroshki is long and thin, whereas I'm accustomed to them being robust short stocky and round almost resembling a giant baked potato in size and shape. So these look like a "Chinese Donut" a.k.a. Youtiao (油条) in size and shape, same girth but length maybe 6"-8" long. What I liked is the filling of the Beef was minced ground beef with sauteed onion bits mixed into a blend and seasoned with a bit of spice but overall was very moist and juicy and the fried dough was very good. So, I'd recommend that. Oddly, I tried the Beef and Potato reluctantly thinking the pure beef option was going to be better... and the Potato was soft and perfect so I'm thinking they're equally good depending on your mood. I tried the beef empanada, and it was very good, similar flavor of the beef empanada to the piroshki but not exactly the same, otherwise I might say the empanada is bigger and gives more protein of the ground beef. The desert shaped like a peach fruit was very good. It reminded me of Asian style deserts where they're not overly sweet and has a healthy refreshing taste more so than being too overwhelming with thick sugary creams. I found out they have multiple locations. It feels maybe the Armenian and Russian community in So Cal are more toward this area and The Valley, so I do have to take what could be a 60-90 minute journey to come here, and even longer of a commute to their other locations. I think they'd do well in the SBBC (South Bay Beach Cities) down South past Santa Monica but before Long Beach and Orange County. I'd recommend this place for the food and service.
