I ordered the 3 protein ramen because most ramen shops skimp on the protein. This place is not one of them the ramen was more than enough and I felt satiated with the amount of protein in my soup. Came for an early dinner with my friend around 5pm-ish on a Sunday. There was only 1 other table when we first got there but by the time we were leaving about 1 hour later the place was packed. It was a salad with carrots, red cabbage, green onions, peanuts, chicken with sesame dressing) and was truly pleased. The bowls are freshly made and not just sitting around, looking sad. The dressing is definitely made from scratch, and I'm very picky when it comes to my salad dressings because I make mine from scratch (but I digress). The chicken was nicely marinated yet not overly sweet. The portion was HUUUUUGE (the hugest I've ever seen! Wink wink) and the price was reasonable. My husband and I were craving Asian food so we decided to check this place out based on its appealing reviews and proximity to our house. We stopped in this evening (Friday) and it was bustling. There was a line to order but they had menus to review while waiting. We decided to get the black garlic ramen with pork belly, the pork belly baos, and a hibachi chicken plate. Thankfully, the bussers were on it and were clearing off vacant tables quickly to accommodate other customers. We grabbed a table, and within a few short minutes our food arrived. I mean like probably 5 mins, maybe. The service was very fast! And I was very please and a little surprised by the volume of patrons they were serving. The baos were excellent. The pork belly was nice and thick, very well marinated, and not overly fatty. I loved the addition of crunchy peanuts, carrots, and pickled onions which provided a nice textural contrast to the pillowy bao buns and soft pork belly. The hibachi chicken was great, and I loved the vegetables. The portion size was adequate as well. No skimping here. The black garlic ramen was good. The broth had a nice rich flavor and the noodles felt and tasted hand made (although I'm not sure if they are). They also did NOT hold back with their protein portion here. I'm unaccustomed to being able to choose my protein with ramen and we opted for the pork belly. The ramen came with 4 pretty hefty pieces of pork belly. Normally, other ramen places give you two of the thinnest slices of pork chasu known to man. So this was a pleasant surprise. My only critique of the ramen is that I wish it had actual garlic cloves in the ramen (as all other black garlic ramens I've had before do) and I wish there were some chili oil to give it a little extra kick, if desired. They did have sriracha, but I couldn't bring myself to put it in the ramen. The restaurant was clean, and in a cute little strip mall in Evans Town Center. We will definitely be back to try more menu items in the future! I was eyeing their milk teas that others ordered so I will definitely have to try those next time! read more

In addition, they call all their drinks "tea" even though some of them have zero tea. I thought the Tiger Milk Tea would be a dirty brown sugar drink with tea, but it is all milk! They should not call this a tea drink, but a latte instead. They have zero business selling "boba tea." When I pointed this out to staff, they doubled down and said everything is called "boba tea." read more

This was a really pleasant surprise. My friend and I were planning on going to another restaurant, but it fell through. So we saw this close by and decided to give it a shot. I'm glad we did. It's got a friendly knowledgeable staff and a good little modern atmosphere. It is tucked away, so it might be more difficult to spot, but it's worth it. I had the noodle bowl with pork belly. It was delicious! The pork belly was melt in your mouth good, and the noodles tasted great too. I think they were Lo Mein style noodles. They were served with their version of yum yum sauce, which was quite nice. My friend got the Pho bowl with spare ribs. I didn't taste it, but she assured me that it was most excellent. Her only regret? Was getting some teriyaki sauce to try on the spare rib. To be fair, the guy working said he wouldn't recommend the flavor combination. She only tried a little piece in the teriyaki sauce and quickly agreed with him. After lunch, she tried one of their strawberry boba drinks for dessert. She assured me that, it too, was a winner. The vibe is very elegant and clean in here, the staff was super nice and friendly. I came right as they opened and they all seemed excited to see me instead of dreading the first few customers. First time coming here after a friend mentioned it to me The braised short rib is tender and delicious. It has a very distinct flavor that I can't quite pinpoint, but it's umami like. The chicken, steak, and shrimp teriyaki were delicious. Shrimp was cooked perfectly and not rubbery at all. Chicken was delicious as well. Steak was great, too. The fried rice was really good, even the grilled onions that come with the teriyaki were so good. The white sauce they bring for the rice is a must! Beef gyoza were delicious. I definitely recommend getting these, I personally dip them in the soy sauce and put some cilantro on top, and that really enhances the gyoza. Spring rolls were good as well. The korean bbq tacos were delicious, but I feel they would be amazing in a bao bun or something of that sort, rather than a corn tortilla, I think that's what they're in at least. Everything was very good and we definitely will be returning. The plating was beautiful as well they had very pretty, good quality plates. I am leaving this review after about a year of avoidance. I just couldn't bring myself to even start this thing because I have too much to say. All I can say really is that I am so glad a second location opened in the Evans area. Previously, I was driving 20 minutes to order food from here. When they opened this location, it was so easy for me to eat Mirin whenever I wanted. If you are ever near one of these locations, you've got to come here. I have ordered has been phenomenal. Orders on DoorDash can be a little pricey so it's worth it to pick up yourself or eat inside. I can't even decide what my favorite thing is. Probably the fried rice with beef bulgogi but it's too hard to choose. This location is relatively new and it is very clean. Staff has always been very friendly and they are competent at taking orders over the phone and food is ready very quickly after placing an order. This was the spot I took anyone who was visiting me from out of town. Seating is available both inside and outside. If I posted all the photos I had of my food from this place, it would honestly be embarrassing for myself, so I'll resist (for now). Lol. read more

When I visit this location it's usually after 430pm so the after work dinner crowd hasn't arrived and it's very quiet but nice. The service is quick and you place the order at the counter and take a number and find a seat. By the time you take all the new construction in the area in your food is arriving hot and fresh.
