Excellent work, excellent customer service, would recommend to others. Location is in west orange, nj (which is a bit far for me) but I believe for a fee, they offer a mobile/pickup and drop off service if you are within a certain radius. For some background, I'm not very knowledgeable on cars and have never used an auto detailing service before. Typically I just do a light bit of washing and vacuuming myself to keep my car relatively presentable, but my car is admittedly moderately messy (not young kids level of mess, but regular leaf debris, dust, and whatever my boots muck in). What led me to look into detailing services was discovering that my recent parking spot was under a sap tree; the resulting resin was something I could not remove at home even after a few hours of elbow grease. I wasn't sure a regular car wash could get this out and I thought it would be worthwhile since my car had spent 8 years without any sort of professional cleaning. To start off with, I really appreciated the level of customer service. Matt was polite and responsive to outreaches. He was patient about listening to what I needed and helping me pinpoint what package worked for me. Drop off and pick up were both very simple, and they were very accommodating to my questions and requests for additional clarification. The other two gentleman I saw working were also friendly and helpful during our brief encounters. I would say the great customer service is about 60-75% of the reason I originally chose to bring my business here and why I would recommend them to others. I got the recondition & protection package and found myself impressed with the results. The car I picked up felt like I was driving off the dealers lot with a new car. Ironically, the clean and polished appearance sort of emphasizes my car's dings and paint nicks (the result of 8 years of driving) more because they look so out of place. They were able to remove all the tree sap which had been there for months, baking under the summer sun. There was some warping of the paint underneath but Matt had helped set my expectations ahead of time that this might happen (again, excellent customer service for someone who doesn't know cars well). They were also able to mostly remove some stains in my cloth seats which had been there for years. They even cleaned up areas of my car I never thought to clean and made them feel like new (like under the hood, the car wheels and rims, between the car seats and between the drivers seat and the center dash where all stray hairs go to die). Price wise, this was comparable to other auto detailing services I looked up online. My end price at checkout also ended up being exactly within the estimate range I was originally given, so no unpleasant surprises at checkout. I think the excellent customer service is what sets this business apart from others. Definitely recommend them for others. read more

Was looking for a car window tinting service. Read the other reviews, sent them an email, and Matt called me within a day. He explained the process, grades of tint offered, and levels of tint. He explained the time it would take to complete and the costs. He's busy, but was flexible enough to get my car in on a Sunday. On site he was able to show me the different levels of tint (10% vs 20% vs 50%). Dropped the car off and 5 hours later (though it only took him about 3 hours to complete) came to pickup and was blown away. They did really clean work. No bubbles, or snags in the tiny rear windows. No materials left in the car or drips. he walked me through what they did, things to look for as it cures, and reminded me to not take the tape off the window switches for 3-5 days. all in all the experience was courteous, quick, affordable (middle of the road coast from all the quotes I got - not the cheapest but not the most expensive) and excellent. I look forward to bringing the car back to him when I need it detailed. The work he was doing on other cars at the time (detailing, wrapping) looked stellar and scrutinous for details. read more

This is an excellent business. Matt and the team at Mirror Image did an exceptional job detailing and helping to winterize our SUV. The end result exceeded expectations (e.g. they somehow removed bird dropping damage that seemed etched in the paint since the car was purchased; our car is black and there was not a single swirl mark, fingerprint, or water spot anywhere to be found) and our car honestly looked better than when purchased from the dealer. Matt and Brad took care of our two SUVs which needed some major love after a few years with our 3 large, furry dogs.
