Firestone is my go to place for anything having to do with tires, brakes, wheel alignment. . . etc. I must admit some are better than others- This site opens at7am- and that's a 7am !! Not 7 - and walk- in at 7:15 with coffee and breakfast with computers still down. 7am and ready to go!! I was greeted and welcomed the second I walked though the doors. - had made an appointment but for later on yet they drove my car in within 10-15 min - and started working on it. Guys are friendly and communicated effectively. I was given a printout of what the wheels looked like and what the difference alignment had made. Satisfied!!! If. I may add - waiting room and restroom- clean and well organized. I felt comfortable waiting while they worked on my car. I'm less than an hour I was on my way .. Thanks guys!! If I could choose no star for the services that Fire Stone in West Caldwell provided for me, I would, except for one person, Dashon, the Service Manager of the group, who deserves 5 Stars. I took my vehicle to the Firestone in West Caldwell to check one of the front tires for loosing air. It was supposed to be done on the same day. Two days passed and nothing happened. When I called to check on my car, I was told that the technician has ripped the tire off while he was removing it from the ring. They said they will replace install a new tire. Again, two more days passed and nothing happened. Finally, Dashon took the matter in his hand and made sure to order and receive the new tire and got it ready for installation. I was told that my car was done and I should pick it up. When I went there, I noticed my car was still in the same shape with torn up tire standing on the spare tire. No new tire had been installed. Once again I asked Dashon for help because no one else was available. This dedicated manager came out and found a technician (they were all hiding) and stood there to make sure the new tire is installed properly. The West Caldwell Firestone is extremely unorganized and lacks of skillful technicians. They keep customers waiting and hanging around for long period of time. The parking lot is always full with scattered parked cars all over. The vehicles are often blocked by the other cars to make it very difficult to enter and exit the parking lot . I learned that Dashon has been transferred from the Wayne Fire Stone to this branch. He is a very capable service manager and well deserved to become a head manager. I highly recommend that he is transferred back to the Wayne Firestone and promoted as a head manager read more

My appointment was at 1:30 I was taking in right away. It was no problem with the check in wonderful Joe was there and Devon who also assisted they take your car right into the bay and start work right away the few things that I had to be repaired or covered by the warranty, I also will purchase the fire stone rewards card in the future. I am looking forward to returning and many many happy returns as the bathrooms are clean there is coffee and there is wonderful people with the TV and also nice work they do thank you very much. read more

The excellent service technicians at Mavis helped me after the ignorant, lazy, worthless, backward, discriminative, scumbag losers at Firestone refused to check my tire pressure or put air in my tires, even though I did around $1,000.00 worth of business with them recently. James, the store manager refused under any circumstance to check the tire pressure because according to James, it isn't his job. James also refused to check my tires on the grounds that my tires weren't purchased as Firestone. James told me to take my car to Mavis because Firestone only works on Firestone tires. Meanwhile, I'm a Firestone account holder who had a lot of work done recently. If you have anything other than Firestone tires, they can't help you because it's against store policy. Before James encouraged me to go to Firestone's competitor, he suggested that I drive around on the low air tires and see if the pressure corrects itself by the end of the day. So he told me to come back before they close. After returning to Firestone and asking again for my tires to be checked is when I was told to take it to Mavis. The employees and customers at Mavis were surprised and in disbelief when I described my recent experience at Firestone. I reported the incident to Firestone corporate headquarters and filed a serious complaint. I'm in my mid 50s, and I've never been more insulted by any store employee ever in my life. His lack of customer service skills and obvious ignorance made him stand out as a discriminative bigot who deserves to be terminated from any position There should be zero tolerance for bigotry, racism, and on the job laziness. Too lazy to check tire pressure, too lazy put air in a tire, too lazy to write any information down. Too lazy and stupid to do his job. just now NEW I called on a Friday afternoon. My tire had gone flat and it had a cut on the sidewall. I know my spare was stuck and I wouldn't be able to use it ( pickup truck, underneath the bed, now rusted in place) I was planning to get new tires at my regular mechanic but I figured I really didn't have a choice but try to get the tires. I checked online and website said two tires were in stock. I needed my truck to be able to bring the snowplow to my parents house since the snowstorm was arriving the next day. I called and spoke to Jim. He said he could get the tires on-site the next morning and I brought my truck down that afternoon. I was a few minutes late picking it up because of the snow and he said no problem when I called. Jim showed me the tire before I bought them and explained their features. Gave me good advice about my current spare tire situation. He was so pleasant and helpful, he made a stressful situation into a nice one. I've only driven in the snow on my way home but I was happy with how they handled the snow. My experience was great and I will definitely use them again. read more

I have been going to this Firestone location for the last 3 years for various reasons. Never had any majore issues until recently. There is a new shop manager name DeShawn that was transferred from Wayne's Firestone. HE IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL TO THE CUSTOMERS. I seriously don't understand how he slipped through the cracks and is even a shop manager with them. I had a repair with my car that I had auto repair insurance from. American Auto Shield. I was giving the information to call and set up a claim and explaining for tjis insurance works. He was not interested and abruptly stopped me and told me " DON'T TELL HE HOW TO DO MY JOB" . I was taken back by that remark. This is an insurance plan NOT how repairi g my car so how would you know how it's works since it's not in your scope of experience. I called AAS the next day to follow up with them. He did not send them.any estimate. I called him back back to follow up and he streamed st on thr phone " I TOLD YOU STOP TELLING ME HOW TO DO MY JOB". I took my car out of there that day and brought to another repair facility that did it correctly and foot my car fixed. After that experience I called Firestone customer support and let them know whst happened. They told me that they take complaints like this seriously and this would be forwarded to Desjaun's boss the area msnager of the Caldwell Firestone. They took both my phone number and email and told me he would contact me in 2 days. Those 2 days passed then and 3 and 4 and I never heard back from him or Firestone. I am very disappointed with Firestone fir not caring about the customer experience and the let its staff included management to treat customers in such a disrespectful way. I purchased a vehicle from Carvana and had an issue with the warning lights all going on. Contacted Silverrock which is the claims rep fro Carvana. They recommended Firestone of West Caldwell. I made an appointment. My warning lights subsequently cleared but kept my appointment to determine the cause of the problem. He repeatedly told me there was nothing they could check if the warning lights were clear. After arguing with the service representative he reluctantly agreed to check the on board computer and found an error message indicating a problem in the fuel delivery system. He told me to phone Silverrock to get approval for a Deep Diagnostic. Silverrock informed me that Firestone had to phone them. I informed Firestone and they said they would call. I spoke to Firestone on 5 more times over the following week and they stated they have not gotten a response from Silverrock. I finally called Silverrock again and they informed me that they never received a call from Firestone and their mechanic was out sick. I am using a private garage to complete the diagnostic. read more

DO NOT GO THERE!!! They emptied out my oil tank without refilling it. My kid ran the car without oil and nearly killed the engine. And, it's not the first time this happened at this place. I mean, an oil change? Anything more basic? Can't understand people go back there. read more

Good Service, Precise Analysis in whats wrong with your vehicle. Inquire with a Recommended Service invoice due to Price Gouging from Manager. POS system shouldn't be adjusted will spike the prices on work being performed. As well mechanics should shower once in a while left car smelling like a latrine. read more

I told him my situation and he stayed late to help me in this hopeless moment. Without hesitation he went back into the shop and fixed my problem so that i get home safely. WYCKOFF IS THE WORST FIRESTONE LOCATION. They broke a $4500 part - steering rack on my BMW while doing a simple balance and alignment on an $85,000 car. Manager admitted the technician had a "hard time aligning the car and had to align 2x and also reset steering angle". Service light came on 5 min after pulling out it said "steering alignment initialization in progress". Firestone manager told me to take it to BMW and gave me $800 for the repair but, the repair cost $5283.06. I was nice enough to say I would wait for the Firestone Insurance company to pay out the remaining $4483.06 but, they refuse to file a claim. BMW said that not only is the steering rack a part that never gets replaced - they only see it replaced in cars that have had a major accident. DON'T BRING YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP! read more

Worst experience I've ever had at a auto shop. I came in at 5pm still an hour left until closing time with a problem, I blew out my tire on the i80, crawled my way to a mavis shop and bought a tire but they were closed so I went to firestone to put the tire on. Immediately the foreman in the shop refused the job even after pleading to him that this is our last option. I was ok with failure if they weren't able to do it, but to not even attempt the job even when you see someone that's in trouble in a different state is wrong. They refused our service and kicked us to the curb. P.S. the only reason I gave 1 star is because 0 stars isn't an option. Avoid this shop at all costs they don't care about you. read more

WARNING PLEASE READ. I have an computer monitor and go pro on my car. After asking for a simple alignment at the counter. The tech went for a test drive. He redlined the engine and did it in 1st and 2nd gear. I was furious after watching this after. Now my car is not running the same. Literally CROOKS! Had them switch my spare snow tire/wheel for my chrome rear wheel/tire. Next day I looked in my spare compartment and it was empty. Both my chrome wheel & tire were missing. worst service ever . I made an appointment to check a leak in one tire. I dropped the vehicle off at 7AM when asked when I needed it I told them by noon. I got a call at 12:15 and was told that the tire had to be replaced and the car would be read in an hour. Went there today to put winter tires on my car. Excellent service. I had to leave the car for a couple of hours since the place was busy which they told me over the phone already. The car was ready at promised time and they even gave me a discount on the posted charge. The summer tires were put into plastic bags which was great. I got new license plates. One of the screws holding the old plates on was stripped. I worked for almost a full hour and it wouldn't budge. I have not needed a mechanic since moving to the area, so I googled a few and made some calls. I called three places and asked if there was someone in the shop that can assist with the screw. All three said no, and two out of the three gave me attitude over the phone. My last call was to Firestone Complete Auto Care in West Caldwell. The woman on the phone was really nice and told me to stop in. Once I got there, a real nice guy with glasses and long grey hair(I feel horrible I didn't catch his name) helped me. I told him about the other places that said no to my request, and I totally agreed with him when he said, "they just don't want to be bothered". Within 10 minutes, the screw was out and he attached the license plate. After, he refused to take any money. I really appreciate what this shop did and won't forget about them in the future when I need work in my car. Thank you Firestone. read more
