I can't believe I only just found out about this adorable little plant shop tucked away in Wauconda! I would recommend following them on social media to double check the hours before you come; the first time I came out, I didn't realize they were closed for the holidays. The other reason why you should follow them on socials is because they have $5 specials on Fridays for a select plant of their choice! Amazing and dangerous for plant lovers... For a small shop, they are jam packed with a range of beautiful and healthy plants. If you're not looking for a plant (yet), they have accessories (pots, stakes, etc) and locally made goods. The prices are reasonable, too! The worker at the shop was attentive but not over bearing, and she patiently answered all of my questions about my plants. She recommended a stake for my hoya, which was a great purchase. They seem to really care about their plants and their customers! I can't express how happy I am to have found this shop! One of my high school friends referred me to the owner because she knew how much I had been wanting to purchase a Bird Of Paradise plant for my home. The owner was very communicative and understanding. I got my plant for a steal of a price in such great condition and the best part was her shop was right down route 12. Owner was extremely pleasant and helped wrap my plant up so that it would not get damaged during transportation. Would highly recommend shopping here! read more

I absolutely LOVE this plant shop! The owner has everything color-coded by level of difficulty and whether or not the plant is pet friendly. She tells you how to care for each plant that you buy and she even offers re-potting services. She has a ton of cute pots and small gifts that are made by local small business owners, and everything in the store is reasonably priced. Some of her plants are even less expensive than the same type at Menards. There is also a shop dog named Finn, so be sure give him pets when you visit! read more

We were so excited when this store opened. My wife is always purchasing new plants for the house and accessories. We were even more excited when we found out they were participating in a program at Wauconda Grade School. My young son had decorated a pot for this program and couldn't wait for us to be able to purchase it. We got the email saying it could be bought at Mis Plantitas on Weds and would we held until the following Weds. This was also posted on Instagram so when things were hectic until Sunday, we felt things would be good. We get there Sunday and my son's pot has been sold. He's in tears. The person working dismissively says no one told me and that's that. We were planning on buying a fair amount today along with the pot and we've already made several purchases there. Never again. I really hope that $5 sale was worth it. If you're going to work with the community and kids, you might want to know what's going on. Just connecting with the families here to make some easy money doesn't work if you don't pay attention and do what is told to everyone. I can tell you right now, we'll never step foot in there again. read more
