I LOVED this workout! I took the beginner class and wasn't sore the next day so maybe I'm not as out of shape as I thought. As I was working out I thought, how can I afford $400/month for this class? Sell an organ? Drugs? $400/month would only get you 3 classes/wk. I make 6 figures but can't imagine spending almost $5,000/yr on Pilates! I'm pretty sure you just raised your prices too, I guess the demand is there. Please keep running specials for us less fortunate or let me know how much a "reformer" would cost to buy. To the owner. My daughter and I took the first class. It said two for 60 but when I booked the second class for myself and my daughter. It charged me 55 again. My friend took the class their first class charged 55. No 2 for 60 deal. read more

Misfit Pilates has transformed my body and keeps me sane! I love the culture, "pilates is for EVERY body". All of the instructors are great, but Kristine and owner Brenda are my favorites to visit. I love how small the classes are with a max of 6. It allows the instructors to really focus on each clients form and limitations. Misfit Pilates is the third Pilates studio I've joined but it's the only one that's had a significant impact on my overall health. I come to class knowing I have a sense of community/comfort, I'll get my butt kicked with a good workout, and in almost every class I get a good laugh. It's everything you'd want out of a Pilates studio. The small class size (6 reformers) allows the instructors to correct your form and push you to challenge yourself. The improvement I've seen in muscle and flexibility in just 4 months is mind blowing to me. I haven't been this healthy and active since high school. I have been recommending this studio to anyone who mentions wanting to start Pilates or anyone who will listen to me talk about how great it is here. Also bye I started in beginner classes trembling doing the simplest things and now I go to every class I can fit into my schedule it's very addicting. I recently moved to the west side of Simi Valley and was looking to mix up my workouts from my usual HIT and heavy weight type workouts. Postpartum I found that my core was weak, and I had already heard about the miracles of Pilates and how it tones your body. I took my first class, and loved everything about not only Pilates but also Misfit Pilates! Some mornings I walk away thinking "I crushed it" only to wake up thinking that yesterday's workout surprisingly crush me (in the best sort of way possible), while other days I walk out of the studio feeling humbled and incredibly challenged (also a great feeling). I NEVER walk out regretting my decision to spend the time and take a class... I come in 2-3 times a week (for about a month now) and have definitely noticed an improvement in my overall core strength, mobility, and as a result, fewer mornings waking up thinking that "my back hurts". The instructors are patient, which as a newbie, I appreciate! I only wish there were more 6 am or early classes!!! read more

Tried this place out for the first time this morning and am already so excited to go back. I'm 6 months pregnant and Brenda made me feel so taken care of with modifications, a pregnancy wedge, etc. I got such a good workout in and felt great afterwards. The class size is perfect to make you feel like you're getting the attention you need and proper form isn't sacrificed. So happy I found a place so close to home and would much rather support a local business vs. a corporate owned Pilates chain. read more

My new go-to! I attended Kristine's classes at a previous Pilates studio and they were always filled up with a huge wait list because she was the most popular teacher there. Now that she's at Misfit, I can't get enough and the smaller class sizes are amazing. I've also gotten to take classes with Brenda now and she's incredible too! If you're looking for teachers who really care, give you great variety, keep a close eye on your form so you don't injure yourself, and make it so fun, look no further. They're even able to help you change up an exercise if you have any injuries or areas to keep an eye on. I'm so excited to have this studio nearby. :) read more

What a fantastic experience! I'm not new to working out, but BRAND NEW to using a Pilates Reformer, so I wasn't sure what to expect in my first workout. Kristine did an amazing job of working with me as a newbie, along with the rest of the more experienced class. She was very detailed in guiding me how to correctly use the machine, guiding the moves and positions, and making sure I was feeling the burn in all the right places.
