Tried food here on multiple occasions and it has not disappointed me. I have come here for a buffet twice (once on a weekend and once on a regular day), and enjoyed it so much that we picked this place to host my sister's intimate wedding party. Service is the best I have seen around this area. All of the staff we have met were friendly, and the same with the store manager. Ambiance is lovely. You can go here for dates, family brunch, lunch with friends, and even book their private room for parties and decorate it the way you want. Buffet price is great for what you get! I believe you normally get to make your own chaats as appetizers and there are 6 additional dishes. Once, there was even a live pani puri station (delicious)! Also the Naan is fresh and comes hot. We had Dhannu(?) as one of our servers, and he was awesome - very kind and friendly. All the servers were nice but we talked to him the most. If you reserve the room for a private party, you get to make it buffet style with 2 veg app, 2 non veg app, 2 veg entrees, 2 non Veg, rice/naan, choice of 2 desserts, and soda. You can add more for additional price. I added pictures of the items we had selected. The guests also enjoyed the food. Only change we would have done would be replacing the Falooda for a diff dessert. The Falooda was lacking the vermicelli noodles. Also, the butter chicken was lacking chicken. My family and I recently held an event here after previously visiting for the buffet. Because of that, I have a lot to say both good and bad. Starting with the event food: it felt noticeably cheaper and lower quality, which was very disappointing. Prior to the event, we had all genuinely enjoyed the buffet food, so expectations were high. Unfortunately, the naan tasted frozen, like something from a bulk pack at Costco. It was thin, poorly made, and as someone who truly loves naan, I couldn't even finish a single piece. The meat and chicken dishes also did not taste nearly as good as they do during the buffet. The flavors were okay, but as someone familiar with South Asian cuisine, it was very underwhelming. Since this is the only Indian restaurant option in the area, that made the disappointment even greater. The staff overall was very kind and polite. The staff is truly amazing, very aware and ready to help which is wonderful!! They did an amazing job, 5/5 for the staff, no complaints there. However, my experience with the manager was not positive. He provided inconsistent and constantly changing information regarding the minimum number of people required to reserve the private room. For me, he told my partner and I that 45 people were required minimum. But later told my sister that it was 40 then 35 or 30 and it just kept changing. One change is not okay, maybe a mistake. But this? Not a mistake, definitely intentional. And if you don't know the correct answer, the right thing to do is find out before relaying any information. I found the inconsistency among the required number of guests and information extremely unprofessional, and it came across as money-driven, which was a major turn-off--especially when paired with the noticeably lower-quality food being served for a special event - aka a Wedding. Now, outside of the event, the buffet itself was excellent. The naan was fluffy and warm, and the chicken and meat dishes were flavorful and well prepared. Based on the buffet alone, I would have given this restaurant a 5 out of 5. The buffet is one I would recommend. However, due to how the event was handled, the inconsistencies, and the poor quality of food provided for what was supposed to be a wedding event, I have to rate this experience a 3 out of 5. Providing customers with inaccurate and inconsistent information, especially from a manager, is not professional and is simply not okay. On a random trip to Bridgewater, my daughter and I were looking for a place to eat. After several call outs by her during the car ride from CT, we both were intrigued by an all you can Eat Indian Buffet, and as we had not had Indian in a while, decided to go there. Though it was a last minute decision, we were able to find a seat very close to the buffet section. The place is actually pretty large, with a private room to the left and general seatings n the right. The place was fully packed and there was a wait even to grab a plate. The food choices very really good starting with salads, Samosa Chat, Chili Chicken, Tandori Chicken, and then for the main entrees there were three kinds of rice, including Biryani and then an assortment of meat and vegetarian choices. If I were to call out the highlights, I would pick the Vegetarian Manchurian, Chili Chicken, The Lamb and the Naans. The rest were good too, but these really hit the spot. i tried the buffet today at this new restaurant and it was exceptional. what stood out to me was the variety and how every dish was made well. a few standouts were the tandoori chicken, which had a nice char and smoky taste with strong flavors. i also absolutely loved the samosa chaat, which had a strong spice and a mix in texture between the cream from the yogurt sauce and the crunch of the samosa. there were so many different dishes in the main course; i enjoyed the butter chicken, the chicken biryani, and the dal makhan. i think this is a great deal for $25. the restaurant is also beautiful inside; the decoration is very cute, and everyone was kind and accommodating. i would definitely recommend mauka read more

Food is great here! Tonight I tried some basics - chicken tika - top notch, dal - very creamy and flavorful, mango lasi - great and not too, too sweet. The basmati rice is really good too. I wanted to try the basics first to see how it compared to the other local places and I am very impressed. I only stopped in to see what day they would be officially opening (saw the write up in the paper, but asked me what I wanted and made it for me even though they were not officially open. Quite a nice space too - really beautifully decorated, very clean, plus they have lunch buffet - my absolute favorite way to eat lunch in the world ever (reasonably priced as well). And for dinner they have some really great sounding options too. Thai basil vegetable curry sounds interesting, some Indo Chinese and lots of tandoori oven specialities - breads, veg, chicken, lamb etc, along with a lot of the Indian dishes you would expect from northern Indian cuisine of course. They have a sister restaurant in Eatontown with great reviews (automatically worth a try). I think these people know what they are doing. I have high hopes for their success. I went for the buffet and had a great experience! The lunch buffet was $25 per person and there were at least 15 different things to try. I'm vegetarian, and even then I had a lot of options. I really enjoyed the dal makhani with naan. I also really liked the pani puri, it was the right amount of spicy. A welcome new addition to the area. Busy first Sunday lunch service, as they just opened this week. We opted for the buffet and enjoyed everything we tried. Some of our favorites were the Goa shrimp, Panner makhani and Butter chicken. Nothing on the buffet was too spicy, so it's safe for those who prefer a mild spice level. A couple vegetarian options offered in the buffet. Staff was overwhelmed (as expected, since they are newly opened and the restaurant was packed) but very pleasant. If you come here soon, please be patient and understanding - it takes time for a restaurant staff to get into their groove. The atmosphere in the restaurant is beautiful! I loved the decor style and the layout was perfectly spaced where you didn't feel too close to other people, but still had a cozy vibe to it. The music was the perfect volume and it was strictly instrumentals, so it did not overpower the conversation at the table. Service was amazing! Our server, Sally, was phenomenal he was very attentive (but not overbearing) and super nice! He gave my mom and I wonderful recommendations and helped us order things he thought we would enjoy. The entire staff was very nice, and the manager/owner was super friendly! The food was absolutely fantastic! We ordered pretty basic dishes this go around as it was our first time trying this place out, but definitely will be venturing out next time because our entrees were delicious! Spice level was customizable, which was nice. Dessert was just as delicious, we were satisfied with every course. The food was very different from the typical Indian restaurant. The biryani was presented with a naan on top of the dish. When we asked why we were told it keeps the meat moist while it's in the tandoori oven. There were lots of things that I had never seen before. We decided to try out the newest place to pop up in that spot that never seems to keep a restaurant for long--but honestly, after our visit, I'm really hoping this one makes it. The Butter Chicken was seriously one of the best I've ever had, and the veggie samosas were spot on--crispy on the outside and just the right amount of spicy inside. I'm a sucker for garlic naan, and theirs did not disappoint. Plus, the staff was super friendly, which made the whole experience even better. We had such a lovely dinner at Mauka Indian Cuisine in Bridgewater! The staff was genuinely warm and welcoming -- friendly and attentive without hovering. Our server timed everything just right and cleared plates promptly, which we really appreciated. The space itself is bright and inviting. There's plenty of room between tables (you're not packed in!), and the natural lighting made the whole experience feel even more enjoyable -- especially since we got to eat while watching the sunset. The booth seating was also surprisingly comfy -- supportive and perfectly spaced from the table. Now to the food -- everything was excellent! We started with the Fish Amritsari (crispy and not overcooked) and the Palak Aam Patta Chaat -- the spinach was perfectly crunchy and flavorful. For mains, we had the Lamb Saagwala and Fish Moiley. The lamb was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the fish was beautifully cooked. Pair that with fresh, hot naan, and we were in heaven. We came for the buffet at lunch time on Sunday. There was not much to choose from, but what we had was okay. The rice was a bit dry. My major issue was that when the bill came, they had already included a tip. FOR A BUFFET!!!! It was calculated at 20 percent if the check. There was only four of us. I thought that a tip was determined by the guest, not the restaurant. The tip situation is getting out of control. I would have tipped something for the delivery of water and the clearing of our plates. BUT, NOT 20 Percent. Will not go back here. read more

Riaz ( which I think is the host) is a well put together respectful man who makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk through the doors. This restaurant just opened recently, I ordered some dishes for pick up last Saturday evening. The person at the reception took the order and said it would take an hour for the food to be ready for pick up. I said fine and got there an hour and half later. They kept me waiting there for 10 minutes and kept saying "it'll take another 5 minutes" and I waiting for 20 minutes and when I asked again, the guy at the reception said he can't help and asked me to talk to his owner who was packing food behind the counter. When I asked him about my order he got angry and said "you better wait or f* off, I don't care" - these are the exact words from his mouth, I just put a star next to "f". I told him - "look I'm not used to these kind of words, you have some guts to talk to your customer like this". He wouldn't care and shouted at me using the same f* word few more times. I asked the guy at the reception to refund my money and left. I have never experienced this kind of behavior from a restaurant owner that to a brand new restaurant in Bridgewater.
